My wife and I were driving up to the east coast of Scotland for a week’s holiday. Having driven up from Shropshire, we were ready for food at midday. We stumbled across this great Indian restaurant totally by chance - we had been Googling coffee shops since passing Glasgow but we’re thwarted by many roadworks and road closures. We decided to give Dunblane a chance and drove up to the roundabout where Mr Singh’s Indian Gates is situated. The advert outside for their lunch order drew us in and we were not disappointed. A spacious, modern restaurant with a warm welcome. There were 3 lunch menus served between 12pm-2:45pm, all with great options. We went for the £13.95 per person option for three courses. The food was really well-prepared and delicious, with excellent, friendly service! We are experienced curry-eaters from the Midlands and this was great. The restaurant was a very pleasant surprise-find on the first day of our holidays, topped by some sunshine and a view of people playing tennis over the road. It is a pity that Mr Singh’s is 250 miles from home otherwise we would make it our regular!!

Great service with a really varied menu. The food was amazing and terrific value for money! Wine was really well priced and good selection!

Food and service excellent. The South Indian Garlic Chilli Chicken was really tasty. The lamb Rogan Josh was probably the best I have ever had. Treat yourself.

Absolutely gorgeous food… one of the best curries I’ve had in years; authentic, tasty with high quality ingredients. The Goan curry is top drawer. Staff are prompt, polite and attentive. My son loved the chicken tikka masala and naan breads. Only wish… you were in North Yorkshire! 10/10.

I've been going to this restaurant since I was little and it's sister one in Stirling and I'm never disappointed. Everything is always such good quality.

Had a great experience at India Gate last night. We were staying at The Hydro, but braved the 5 min or so walk in the pouring rain to try this restaurant. And it was worth it! Friendly and welcoming staff - service was spot on. Some really interesting dishes on the menu , one of which was tailored to my wishes by the chef. Delicious food and accompaniments along with well chilled white wine. I really can’t fault India Gate. And the rain even stopped for our walk ( uphill 🥺) back to the hotel.

I was greeted with a smile and shown to my table, the staff were efficient if not a bit too quick. I ordered popadoms with dips (same as you'd get in any Indian restaurant) but when the plate came there was only ONE popadom instead of the usual stack. I wasnt hungry so I didn't ask for more. I fancied something different for a main course and ordered Chicken Breast Nawabi and at £14.95 I thought it came with rice but nope, that was extra and not just that, the chicken was unlike any chicken I had ever tasted, it was awful and I left it. I poured the sauce over the boiled rice and made do with that for dinner. For one popadum and dips, curry with rice and a bottle of beer it was around £30 but I got a £6 reduction because I couldn't eat the chicken. The sauce was nice. I'll be back in Dunblane but I won't be back at Mr Singh's India Gate. I wasn't impressed with the food and it's vastly overpriced for what I had.

The curries were superb but the place was really expensive. We had 2 curries 1 nan and 1 chapati and with the £7 approx for 2 poppadoms (and dips) and water to drink it was nearly £45...we left a tip of £1.50

Enjoyed a meal here with my family. Big menu with lots of choice including a Quorn option for vegetarians which is the first time I’ve seen this. Really tasty meal, pleasant staff, good location. Would love to return.

I went for the chef’s own signature dish for my main course and the king prawns in the curry were massive. I have never seen such huge king prawns in my life, I would highly recommend them.

Been here a few times and honestly food is outstanding that me and my husband always take the left overs home. Staff are very welcoming and polite but one of the staff, the mans name is Jaffa is the lovliest person you can meet. Makes you welcome and loves a conversation that we were talking to him for ages after our meal and said he would give us samples next time to try for something different for when we go back. We came on holiday from Cornwall to Scotland and staying close by in Dunblane. We saw Mr Singh’s India Gate restaurant and booked. The service was exemplary and everyone was very friendly and courteous especially Jaffa. The portion sizes were very generous and we left barely able to eat another mouthful! We recently visited to take advantage of the lunch time offer as I was passing through Dunblane. Firstly the service - Jaffa take a bow, you made us feel welcome and your patter was legendary! The meal - out of this world, so fresh and amazing portion sizes. The total for three courses, including a bottle of excellent prosecco was under £50 which to my mind represents fantastic value for money. Cannot wait to return.

we arrived at 9pm, a whole hour late and there was no hint that this was even slightly inconvenient the menu and food were the very best the waiter worked wonders and even led my sullen teenager to smile leftovers the next night were a real trat and there is no doubt that we will be back

Friendly, charming and welcoming staff.. Large versatile menu. With options even for children who do not like Indian food and lots of tasty vegetarian options. Generous portion sizes. Enough left over to take home for lunch the next day. We would definitely go there again.

We have come up from Oxfordshire and staying in Dunblane and we visited Mr Singh's restaurant.I can honestly say that the masala was real punjabi style and they cooked it to a perfection.I am a really foodie so I know my desi food to a tee and I can really recommend this place.Give it a go and you won't be disappointed and it is also Halal.Mr Jaffa was very kind and helpful

We have had the most perfect dining experience tonight. The restaurant is well set up for COVID with plenty of hand sanitisers available and safety measures / masks in place. The food was delicious and so fresh! Our waiter Jaffa is one of a kind. He is so lovely and welcoming. He is very knowledgeable about the menu and makes great recommendations. He really made the evening fantastic and I hope his hard work is recognised by his employers - he deserves so much recognition! Can’t wait for our next visit

OMG where to start, lovely welcome and great seating, the chairs were really comfy, odd thing to say about a restaurant I know, but when you see the amount of food per portion, you realise that comfort is really important! The Food, Wow! I had Goanese, spicy fragrant and creamy, honestly one of the nicest dishes I have ever eaten, however I looked across at what my wife had ordered (Biriyani) and the amount could feed a family of 4, I tried it and it was beautiful, back to me! I had mushroom rice and that alone was stunning, then you come to the naan! Light Fluffy with a slight crust that makes it delicious.We were in the restaurant for just under 2 hours, hence my comfort comments earlier, and it was a real pleasure to be here, when we left it was added to our list of really good restaurants, (we moved from Edinburgh a month or so ago and we eat out a lot) Quick note about our son, he has the Ceylonese Korma, he doesn’t like spicy food, but he ate as much as he could, which for an 11 year old was a lot, I ate the rest and it was gorgeous.Needles to say, we’ll definitely be back

India gate is top notch, anyone who hasn’t tried it I would urge to do so, the food is absolutely beautiful and the staff are so attentive, nothing is a problem for them and will facilitate to any needs. The restaurant is immaculate and well presented with a very good atmosphere. Definitely a hidden gem if you like. I travel from Falkirk area to here as Indian restaurants in my area just are no where near the quality of food being served here. Top notch.

This menu was amazing! There were so many choices from different parts of India, for example, six different versions of korma, and the ones we chose were wonderful, with subtle flavours, much better than others we've had. I just wish we lived here to return and keep sampling them all, but we're Canadians touring Scotland., so moving on. The staff were friendly and helpful and even brought us a sample to taste.
