Amazing food, so incredibly fresh! Wonderful service and the wines are exceptional! We loved the family napa valley sauvignon!

My wife and I visited Dunkeld and Birnam after attending a wedding in the area and, after hearing about a bookshop in Birnam, wanted to make sure we visited before heading home. What a fantastic bookshop! We spent ages browing through the superb collection of books - both of us taken with the large range of art and photography books. Even though they were all second hand, the condition was immaculate. The prices for books that essentially looked new was another bonus, being far less than I initially thought. Needless to say we both left very happy with a stack of books between us. Icing on the cake was a coffee to take away (talking of cake, there was cake as well, but sadly after filling ourselves up with our hotel breakfast we couldn't bring ourselves to try any). Service was faultless as well and very pleasant. Will definitely be back next time we're in the area.

Amazing as usual We live in the village, but travelled from Bristol after a trip away, and thought we would wait till we got home to Stanley to have a meal. As usual it didn’t disappoint, Julie and Kenny are amazing hosts, and the food was 5 star as we have come to expect. As the saying goes “There’s no place like home” thank you both

Arrived on a very wet day. Cozy place and very friendly staff. We had the home made soup, which was delicious. Just waiting on our cake to arrive. A very pleasant visit.

We called in after spotting this deli/cafe and we were not disappointed. I had soup and it was delicious and hearty, real Scottish potato and leek and I just loved it. My hubby had it with a ham and piccalilli sandwich, after all the years together I didn't know he liked piccalilli!!! Anyhow he just loved it. We were so full after it we couldn't fit my promised cake in. One guy said that he was sorry for leaving such a clean plate as he felt that he had inhale his meal as it was sooooo good Well done and keep up that level of service and great wholesome food

I am shocked at the lack of reviews and one terrible review for this place, not representative of this lovely cosy coffee shop. The coffees are slightly more expensive than the average price but well worth the extra money for a delicious coffee. My partner had a spiced latte with homemade syrup that was just perfect, not too sweet and gorgeous flavour. We will definitely be back for a coffee pitstop on our way to the highlands! The lady who runs it is really friendly and chatty, thank you so much for a lovely coffee experience!

On a cold miserable day we went for lunch. A lovely bowl of tasty soup warmed the cockles and ham and cheese panini which was filled with thick ham and lovely cheese not the usual tasteless stuff you get in some places! Lovely log burning stove raging away to keep us warm! Would recommend

Great good, best fish and chips I ever had

I’m glad to have made this one of my stops on my way up North. I got the Pork and Apple Sausage Roll, £4.25 and the Cardamom Bun, £4. They both look incredible and it’s backed up by the flavours. The sausage roll had a light but crumbly pastry and great quality meat inside. Perhaps looking more for the apple flavour but still a great wee treat. The cardamom bun was incredible, I was transported back to Copenhagen with my first bite. These were a staple when I lived there and this one was as good as any I’ve had over there! Been a while since we have had an evening meal but my what a meal absolutely fantastic lamb Tagine was to die for hubby said his sirloin steak was fabby 19 out of 10 yet again

Don’t go anywhere else. This is a busy bistro and café serving simple food which is of the highest quality and delicious. You can also have a glass of wine, beer, teas and coffee and soft drinks. The cakes look good too. It does takeaway. The staff are pleasant and very efficient. It has loos.

Good stop point on way to highlands

Lovely visit as always. Very helpful, friendly staff, the most amazing scones and the summerhouses are brilliant-cosy, dog friendly-a brilliant idea, finished off with a walk to see the Heilan Coos. A truly wonderful place to visit-there is something for everyone. The added bonus is the Christmas Shop is also now open. Don’t delay-visit today

Lovely staff, delicious food and cosy ambience for a late lunch. We were worried no one would be serving around 3:30/4pm but we’re thrilled they were as it was perfect! We will be back.
