Nipped in for a quick lunch, the Steak Ciabatta was delicious. We sat in the bar. Nice decor and lots of fancy whisky to look at Dog friendly too, they brought out water unprompted and couldn't have been nicer. It was a little quiet, but on a Wednesday in March probably unsurprising. Staff were all lovely.

Professional, friendly and attentive staff. I’d recommend having a meal at this hotel. Relaxed and welcoming establishment. The steak was delicious, my compliments to the chef.

Had a lovely lunch in the sun at the Atholl Arms. Food was excellent and staff so friendly.

We visited on a busy Saturday afternoon for a family lunch accompanied by 3 dogs. Firstly, we arrived early, and due to the trusty Scottish weather (pouring rain) we asked if we could pull out booking forward. Staff were more than accommodating and showed us to our table. The service was great and we were impressed by just how dog friendly the restaurant was! The food was delicious and given how busy it was, it arrived really quite quickly. Overall a lovely visit & we will be back, when we're in the area.

Staying in The Atholl Arms Hotel, as part of their Stay, Wine & Dine Deal. Z's Bistro is one of the restaurants in the hotel, (The Riverview Restaurant being the other one) Where we ate in daily. We njoyed our breakfasts and dinner in here. Friendly welcoming staff, always happy, smiley and professional. We njoyed Tempura King Prawns and Cullen skink as starters. North Sea Haddock and a venison burger on our first evening with a bottle of wine, and a £35 food allowance each evening this was part of their deal. All Our food was delicious the prawns were so tasty and very filling, as was the Cullen skink, Breakfast was served by the luvly Jennifer each morning, again friendly and engaging, we njoyed bacon and poached egg on muffins, and a full Scottish breakfast every morning, with orange juice, toast, and tea and coffee again food was tasty and well presented. Another evening we njoyed steak pie, and a chicken bacon and mozzarella pizza and a brioche bread and butter pudding. Our last evening an Aberdeen Angus Sirloin steak and a pepperoni Pizza again all our food was delicious. The Bistro is bright and spacious with a luvly atmosphere. The Stay W & D deal is on till end of April. Also Dog Friendly so highly recommend you visit. :) :)

We stopped to charge our car and spotted this place nearby on the map & so glad we did! The meat in the steak pie and venison casserole were so tender and well flavoured. Followed the great steak pie with a truly delicious chocolate mousse. Attentive service and a modern but cosy setting. This place is also Dog friendly with a dog menu (as you can see in the photos our dog was happy to pick his treats). It’s not a local restaurant for us but we will definitely come back.

One of the best Sunday lunches I've had. The poussin was cooked perfectly. Yorkshires massive and cauliflower cheese was great. The kids love it here, a great spot in Dunkeld!

Great from start to finish. Busy with lots of atmosphere when we arrived on a Sunday afternoon for a late lunch. Service was friendly, attentive and really shows how much they care about their customers. Food was top notch - the venison fell apart so easily and was a lovely dish and the pizza here is still my son's favourite. Really lovely place to have a meal and can't wait for the outside terrace to open to enjoy more visits over the summer months.

Food was good, we both had fish and chips. 3 stars is for the price. £19 each for fish and chips and then a service charge added when I went to pay after handing me the bill that didn't have it marked on it.... Not sure if I would go back.

Our first visit was Saturday night food, wine & cocktails for two people £160. Went back Sunday afternoon for Sunday roast, pizza, shared a desert washed down with a couple of soft drinks £60 ish 😋 🤤

Just had a really good lunch at the Athol Arms in Dunkeld, it’s a hugely transformed place, with great staff, excellent menu and a very good ambiance and it’s very dog friendly, could not recommend more highly.

Absolutely lovely restaurant to eat at. The service was fantastic, especially from Joe the waiter who made the experience very personal and had a great chat as well as providing lovely drink recommendations. The food was outstanding and overall will definitely be back very soon!!

Great food, cozy rooms and kind attentive staff. Food comes out quickly, dogs are allowed anf there are plenty of gluten free and vegan and vegetarian options. The pizzas taste great. There is also a fire going in both rooms which makes it nice in warm when you are here in the colder months. Parking spaces are around the restaurant, maybe 3min walk.

Lovely place for food! Waiter that studied arachnology was very kind (I’ll get over my fear of spiders one day!!)

Absolutely amazing place to eat. Atmosphere is chilled & cozy, great for family & romantic meals together. First time here for myself & Fiancé & we were extremely happy & fully content with the amazing food overall. We shared a lovely bottle of white wine which complimented our fish courses very well. Staff were all very attentive, friendly & welcoming. Would definitely recommend & will probably return again tomorrow before travelling back home to Yorkshire.

Had a very enjoyable dinner at Z's Bistro, Sunday 23rd the food was excellent, the service fantastic and their attention to detail amazing, surprising our dog with treats and water, then surprising our daughter with a birthday celebration dessert. The staff were amazing and the atmosphere with fire and all just brilliant, hope to see you all again soon.

Very disappointing lunch today! A chef that can’t cook pasta and a venison burger so burnt the dog wouldn’t eat it. £25 for a bowl of inedible pasta? £15 pounds for a “flatbread” with a sweet chilli sauce from a tub. These things are so easy to make.I can get a 2 course lunch at the Palmerston(one of the best restaurants in the country) for that. Sadly Redwood and the Taybank were full. I see amazing reviews so I really don’t understand how our food was so bad. The bill came to £90 and the best part was the espresso! Come on you must be able to do better than that. I hate leaving bad reviews but I loathe leaving hungry and wasting food.

Brilliant for coeliac, lovely atmosphere and staff. Separate fryer for coeliac and all understood and explained well for gluten free. Extensive menu options. Cosy with a log fire and lovely atmosphere.

You'll be not disappointed.

Stunning food and great service. Unfortunately a bit too dog friendly: several whining dogs for the entire length of our meal. Of course this responsibility lies with the dog owners but fairly hard to chill out with a dog screaming next to you.

Staff and service fantastic we were a party of seven everyone's food was pipping hot and tasted delicious will definitely eat here again.

We were browsing around Dunkeld to find a place for a Sunday lunch. We were overwhelmed by the uninspiring food / rude staff, until we found this gem. Every member of staff was so lovely, professional and ensured we were looked after well. The food was amazing (wide choice of vegeterian options - Sunday roast included) and affordable. The place itself has a lovely atmosphere - the log fire being a cherry on top of the cake.

Staff was polite and place dog friendly. But they lost our order and we finally ate one hour later than expected. The starter was disappointing. The burgers were too much cooked and tasted industrial, as for the French fries. The 'salad' was a joke. We skipped the dessert. They didn't offer any compensation. Apart of being well located, this place seems to have nothing more to offer.

On arriving I’m embarrassed to say I was a rather grumpy customer. Was on holiday with a member of family who has autism this can be a challenging job but also rewarding. Anyway I cannot praise all the staff there enough as they went out their way to make myself and the family member comfortable and happy . We were reassured if the seating was suitable and that our food was to our expectations. There was an extremely happy , singing chap behind the bar who made my day I started to laugh as he created such an atmosphere. He made sure to check on all customers that they also were comfortable and enjoying their food . The food was excellent, family member had steak ( cooked to perfection! ) I had the macaroni cheese absolutely delicious 😋 Wonderful food fantastic service and the most thoughtful staff thank you so very much for a wonderful dinner/ evening. Food is amazing. Really simple but executed well. Music is Bossa Nova'esque but does not rush you when you eat. Very kind staff. Interiors are inviting. Just dont overfill your pepper grinders ;) thank again

After a tiring day doing lots of hill-walking, we just wanted a quick drink and food. The Bistro was perfect. Good staff - efficient and friendly. We both thought possibly the nicest Aberdeen Angus burger with cheddar and chips and salad that we have ever had. Juicy and tasty. Nice choice of alcohol drinks too. Seemed very child and dog-friendly too. I would recommend this Bistro.
