Best food and service .... Really good experience with my family gathering

I was so excited with their menu and it didn't disappoint me. Their special Maya's platter is highly recommended. Mo:mo was so flavourful and 'Chutney' was so authentic exactly like I used to have back in Nepal. My friend had Steak which was pretty good too. Only nuisance was that some of the dishes in the menu were not available Else, it such a value for your money!! 👌

It was my first time in Perth and my first time in Maya's Kitchen and Bar. The experience was perfect: the food was amazing and the service was incredible, they were really nice. They have also a lot of gluten free options, so my sister and dad had not issues here. If we have the opportunity of visiting Perth again, we will definetly return to this place ♥️

Friendly staff. The homemade momos are highly recommended! Very nice and new on the map. Very affordable. It was quiet because the road is closed.

The worst place ever. We waiting for breakfast 45 min ! Half of my food was cold and from bad quality product. Very small portion. The waiter was so unhappy ,no smile, like a grumpy cat ( sorry that we interrupt your cigarette breake ). Not recommended

I got the Maya platter and it was delicious! The dumplings were especially good. High quality food and nice people here. Also, breakfast all day for those late starts!

Food of 10, the best service received in the week of travel that we were in Scotland, and beautiful piano music in the background. Highly recommended

Went to this restaurant based on all the good reviews, but I suspect they're fake. They should definitely reconsider serving pancakes because they clearly don't know how to make them. They were the worst I've ever had—tasteless and rubbery. Even the French toast was disappointing. Overall, it felt like a waste of money and time.

We stumbled across this cafe having stopped off in Perth on our way home from a holiday in the highlands. What a great find, we have two small dogs and after asking if they were dog friendly were welcomed in. The staff were incredibly warm and attentive and the food was even better. Next time we’re in Perth we’ll be back!

Lovely cozy restaurant by the river . Delicious food 😋 Extremely helpful staff including the owner of the restaurant & family . Lovely quaint place by the river, with ample parking and a good variety in menu. The food was absolutely delicious. The staff is extremely friendly and super helpful! Would definitely recommend going to or even ordering in from there.

A great local cafe, a standby choice for coffee in the morning and food during the day. It might simply be called Maya's Cafe as it's open till 5, but it's better to aim high, isn't it? Beautiful yet quirky interior with comfy seating, located by the river on Tay Street.

Service a little slow but it's worth it because everything is homemade and almost live for a very reasonable price. I recommend 👍

The food was amazing, especially the halloumi Panini. The atmosphere was very cozy and the staff extremely nice. I would high recommend visiting.

Food wasn’t amazing, but it wasn’t bad. The service was great and they ensured we had everything we needed. There was an off smell, that was later confirmed was a fish tank that had not been cleaned in a while. The smell ruined the overall experience for me.

Found this place on Google as we were new to the area and the menu and reviews looked great. We stopped in for an early dinner and my husband ordered the bacon cheese hamburger with fries and salad, and I ordered grilled chicken with rice, salad, and veggies. My dinner also came with a curry side which was really good with unique, mild flavors, and not as spicy hot as other curries, which was perfect for me! My husband really enjoyed his meal and commented on it a few times. Mine was good but with the added curry, it was even better. Prices were great, service good, the wait wasn’t long, and the owner and his wife are really friendly and welcoming, plus bathrooms were clean and in order. A win-win overall.

Went with my sister in law for catch up,she had french toast which she loved and I had pancakes which so nice and covered in Nutella, the staff all friendly and welcoming,it's a shame that the road works in Tay street affecting there business. Well worth the visit

Mayas kitchen has a great menu selection for breakfast, lunch and dinner. My partner and I dined here on the 21/04/24 for brunch. I ordered the Mediterranean breakfast and the dish was superb in quality, quantity and presentation. My boyfriend had the Highlander breakfast and thoroughly enjoyed his breakfast for brunch. The owners are a lovely couple that took the time to get to know us and they recommended nearby tourist attractions that were of interest to us such as the river walk and the Botanic Gardens. I am looking forward to coming back to dine here! Decent people, varied selection of food and great atmosphere.

We ran into this place by luck. Small place, but they quickly accommodated our party of 8. Although service was a little slow, the wait was worth it! We had the lentil soup of the day, chicken tikka masala, lasagna, smoked salmon salad and grilled salmon. All the food was delicious! with a unique blend of flavors. The chef/owmer told us the place is relatively new, so they are figuring out the kinks of service. But, again, the wait was worth the flavor!

The breakfast was very good with nice fresh ingredients and priced well. Nicet speak with the chef an understand the curries he creates so we're really looking forward to trying the curries for lunch next!

The reception was very warm, the food was delicious, and we also had special dishes. Finally, we exchanged ideas with the chief about the paintings collected in the store, and we had very happy experience!

Food was stone cold didn't eat any of it would like a refund I will never be ordering from here again.

We found out about it online and stopped for lunch on our route from Loch Ness to Edinburg. We found it closing, since due to the street works there was little movement. But the owner and chef, who was already leaving, gladly welcomed us, giving us all the facilities so that we could have a delicious meal as a family. He even let us bring in from outside what was not served at his location. The food was very good and at a good price, but the service was priceless. Very thankful

At 2 in the afternoon, 5 of us arrived at the restaurant. The service was excellent and we were treated very kindly. We enjoyed the food, which was delicious and well priced. It was a really nice experience.

We found this really great place by chance on Sunday. They serve an awesome all day breakfast and my lunch of tender well seasoned grilled chicken, salad and chips was a delight on my taste buds. Good food, great atmosphere, and the price is just as great. The owner and staff were lovely. It's definitely a place to go!!

Saw this charming restaurant on Google an had to stop in along our journey to Aviemore. The menu satisfied all our tastebuds; curry, pasta and chicken nuggets. Aside from the chicken nuggets everything was fresh and homemade. Met the owner Bibek(sorry if the spelling isn’t correct!!!), was so friendly and we really enjoyed hearing about his life. If we ever pass through town again we will certainly stop in for the food and conversation!

Food was nice, good quality, but breakfast small, 1 bit of bacon and 1 sausage is tight. Bacon roll nice, but £5 is quite pricey.

We chose to eat here on our way home from a day in Edinburgh. Humble host, lovely waitress, recently opened. I made the comment to my partner that this meal was the closest to a home cooked meal we’d had since we left home quite a few weeks ago. Unfortunately the road has been closed to through traffic due to water maintenance just a few weeks after it opened, so please, patronise this business. You will not be disappointed! We weren’t!

American breakfast was tiny, for £8 i got 1 piece of toast 2 bits of bacon and a tiny bit of completely un seasoned egg. Also Ignored comments and made the burger with salad and onion.

Popped in on passing and enjoyed a tasty breakfast of sausage and potato scone roll with small side salad and a latte. A lovely little eatery, tastefully decorated with very helpful and friendly staff.... I highly recommend.

Great new place with really incredible value and good quality meals with such friendly staff. Had a really good steak with all the extras and chicken samosas to start. Curries looked great too. Wide selection for all-day dining right from breakfast to dinner. Park nearby and walk as there are utility works outside.

This place is special. The owner is working to pay for his studies. He is a European arts graduate, now studying the archeology of Nepal. He's pretty cool. And really good to chat to as well. The food was good. Straightforward and a bit more than that. The salad, chips, and extra grilled vegetables were really nice. I had steak which was excellent and my friend had the lasagne. It was fine. And the price is really good value too. At the moment his plans are in disarray. Scottish water are digging up the road, and passing trade has dried up. Delivery drivers can get delayed (hence the poor review below - which was no fault of the owner) - and it's noisy in the daytime. But after 4 pm it's a quiet and relaxing venue . We suggest you visit and support this charming man and his venture. It's rather unusual for a restaurant!

Stopped for brunch today. Sat outside in the sunshine. I had vegetarian breakfast.Tasty Iced Mocha. Food was soo good and the young girl who served us was very friendly and owner too who popped out to make sure we were ok. The restaurant inside is set up for comfort - enjoyed the background music too. Toilets lovely and clean. If you’re looking for a great menu choice whether it’s breakfast, lunch or dinner I’d chose to go back here. What a great wee find and parking close by.

Good food, excellent service pleasant host and relaxing atmosphere

The food was delivered through deliveroo app, absolutely no taste, not fresh and delivery time was 1 hour later than expected. Unfortunately I can’t recommend this restaurant to anyone at this moment.

Terrible delivery experience: The waiting time was extended three times with the note "The food will be on time," but we patiently waited for over half an hour from the original time. Even the driver inquired if the wait was long, as he had also waited a while at the restaurant. Normally, the restaurant would contact a customer and provide updates in such situations. Despite the prolonged wait, we hoped for delicious food, but unfortunately, the food was disappointing. It seemed not freshly made. We ordered a pizza with "spicy chicken" and grilled chicken with chips, but they tasted like poor-quality, bland food that had been sitting in the box for too long. I wouldn't recommend this place, and I'm hopeful for a change; otherwise, it's a waste of money.

We were looking for a nice restaurant in Perth. Walking down the streets we unfortunately realized every pub/inn was too much crowded and we were loosing hope to find something satisfactory, but then we stopped at Maya’s kitchen! The waiter was so kind and polite, the food was of good quality and served with aesthetic attention. They have accepted our dogs inside after asking other clients whether they were fine with pets. We really appreciated this behavior as it’s proof of their sincere interest to provide an environment suitable to every client. Good luck for your cute Maya’s Kitchen guys!! I wouldn’t recommend delivery. Food arrived with box on its side and open. Toast wasn’t toast it was bread and the butter had completely melted away due to poor packaging. I would definitely consider going in to eat than delivery

Highly recommendable. We had a delicious dinner here. The curry tasted beautifully homemade and had the perfect amount of spice. You can even play chess or read interesting books while you wait for your meal. The owners are both so kind and friendly. Definitely going back again soon. Beautiful homely atmosphere.

New restaurant that’s just opened in Perth. We were staying just outside Perth for my gf’s birthday and decided to give this place a shot. Have to say completely blown away by the amazing, kind service and also how outstanding the food was. It was also the most affordable meal I’ve had in 2023! Steak was delicious. Thanks guys!

A hidden gem right in the ceter of Perth. Nice and helpful staff, distinct style, good food. Also, there are truly interesting things on the bookshelf, just ask the staff about it.

We had a fantastic dinner at this charming little place. Very reasonably priced. Had the chicken tikka, griiled lamb, burger and pizza and all were delicious.

Nice wee place. Not opened long, and still trying to establish themselves. Unfortunately road works outside for several weeks has had an impact on that. Nice sized portion of grilled chicken and rice. Looked small at first but was plenty. Fresh. Salad and veg with the chicken and rice made it a healthier and tastier option than most pub grub around No alcohol license as yet, so it's BYOB.

We popped in to have a bite of lunch today & certainly glad we did as the meals were outstanding, service was excellent & the chef/owner spent some time chatting with us. Such a great friendly & family feeling to this new venture. We were asked what we thought of the portion sizes if they were to much or too little bit for Lucy & myself as well as young Jacob the portions were just right. My only regret was I hadn't taken pictures of our meals. We will certainly be going back again as well as passing on to friends & family that they must give it a try & I'm sure like Lucy & I they won't be disappointed. This newcomer into an already fairly crowded gastro scene of Perth, Maya's deserves your full attention. Dreamed up by two Nepalese friends, the restaurant is indeed an epitomy of love (Maya means love in Nepalese), for food, for home, for friendship and good times. Its simple and cozy dining room features standard tables and inviting sofas and armchairs. Books and games are readily available to keep you occupied while waiting on your order... And the food is incredible! For the foodies we are , we were blown away by how amazing everything tasted - from soups to meats and to salads. All I can say, if you find yourselves in Perth, alone or with a family , give Maya's a chance - while you still can get there without reservations or a long wait. You won't regret it !

I chose this place because of its good reviews, but I was deeply disappointed. The chairs were very sat through, which made the long time we were waiting for the food hard to bear. When the food finally arrived, my mood was down again pretty soon. I ordered lasagne, which was served with salad, vegetables and fries. The lasagne didn't taste like it had a tomato base at all. All I could taste was meat and cream. The vegetables were a few pieces of zucchini, mushrooms and the rest onion. The salad was just some green leaves without any dressing. All I ate were the fries. I'm not sure if the owner changed recently or if this was a vacation replacement, but I can't agree with previous reviews.

Had dinner here with a few friends, and as we had not heard of this place before, we did not know what to expect. I would say the food was very tasty and the prices were good value for money. However the best part of the experience was the friendly staff. We had a lovely conversation about how they had opened only recently, what they had done before and what they were planning for the future. I wish them the best of luck for the future and hope that their restaurant gains in popularity. I certainly plan on returning at some point in the near future.

Lovely hidden gem on Tay street, veg korma was delicious and staff were absolutely lovely. Very reasonably priced, will definitely be back (they also do bring your own bottle)!
