We stopped here midway thru our Quarrymill walk, food, service and quality were all excellent. Nice choice of eats on offer. It was busy when we visited so obviously is popular with locals, dog walkers etc. Will definitely return.

Terrific wee cafe, with at least 5 gluten free cake options. I had chocolate clementine torte, which was delicious, and one of the best gf cakes I have had. Definitely worth a visit.

This coffee shop does excellent Lattes and flat whites. If you order a filter coffee you get a second cup free! The waitress who served us was lovely and hunted out a speciality Tea for my friend who does not drink black tea. When I visited there was choice of 2 different types of scones and a large cake selection. There's a small gift shop too with good selection of cards and gifts and jams etc

Delicious food, homemade cakes and scones, you can’t go wrong! The cakes in the cabinet are made for the cafe and are different every time I’ve been so I’m always tempted to try something new. The staff are all so friendly and are mainly volunteers. The gift shop has some lovely items for presents or a treat for yourself. If you have your dog with you there is ample comfortable seating outside or inside if it’s just for you and other humans!

Made a diversion from the A9 on the way from The Borders up to Skye as I've done many times before because it's always been a great place. However, this time it was extremely disappointing! I walked my dog and then went in the cafe for some lunch but even though a member of staff greeted as I went to a table from then on I was completely ignored. The same member of staff then asked a group at the next table if they'd been attended to even though they arrived quite a while after me. They indicated they were waiting so she came to take their order! I have. medical condition which requires me to eat little & often so I was extremely upset by this complete lack of what order customers had arrived. I'm afraid I voiced my concern & left. Luckily I had some chocolate in the car but that wasn't the same as a nice toastie!I've been going there for about fourteen years but won't bother again as it's quite a diversion from the A9 but was always worth it before this. I just cannot understand how a member of staff can greet a customer then fail to take their order even though the member of staff was the only one working!

What a lovely little place! There were five of us and we enjoyed good coffee and tea and excellent selection of scones, meringues and cakes. All made on the premises by the volunteers (I suspect exclusively retired ladies!) who were so friendly, welcoming and chatty. Lovely outdoor seating area, nice little selection of gifts and clean toilets. We will return.

We visited the café today and had a lovely lunch with really nice sandwiches and toasties and great cake. The staff were very friendly and advised me on gluten free options. I had a delicious coronation chicken sandwich on gluten free bread and the choice of a couple of different cakes. Tried the lemon roulade, it was amazing. The non-gluten free options were just as nice, according to the other guests. Would definitely recommend.

A sunny day cycling through Quarrymill, we stopped at the MacMillan Coffee Shop for lunch. Luckily, there were tables available outdoors and shaded from the sun, we ordered lentil soup and sandwiches. The food was tasty and good portions, enough to keep my children and I satisfied for the rest of the afternoon’s cycling. The service was very friendly and attentive, from the very polite ladies on duty. This is a very pleasant stop off point, clean facilities, and fairly priced with freshly prepared food for a light lunch. There was plenty of parking for the number of tables the coffee shop offers and adjacent to the lovely Quarrymill Park.
