I never expected this little gem on my walk around Perth and Scone. Set at the entrance to the Quarrymill Woodlank Park, it is perfectly located for walkers or just those out for a dander through the woods. I have had lovely coffee, a toasties, and, of course, the obligatory Empire Buscuit for lunch. The majority of lovely people running this venture are volunteers, who give up their precious time to raise funds for the MacMillan Cancer Trust; how beautiful is that! Visit this place, please, for its beautiful location and premises, food and of course people.

Made a diversion from the A9 on the way from The Borders up to Skye as I've done many times before because it's always been a great place. However, this time it was extremely disappointing! I walked my dog and then went in the cafe for some lunch but even though a member of staff greeted as I went to a table from then on I was completely ignored. The same member of staff then asked a group at the next table if they'd been attended to even though they arrived quite a while after me. They indicated they were waiting so she came to take their order! I have. medical condition which requires me to eat little & often so I was extremely upset by this complete lack of what order customers had arrived. I'm afraid I voiced my concern & left. Luckily I had some chocolate in the car but that wasn't the same as a nice toastie!I've been going there for about fourteen years but won't bother again as it's quite a diversion from the A9 but was always worth it before this. I just cannot understand how a member of staff can greet a customer then fail to take their order even though the member of staff was the only one working!

A sunny day cycling through Quarrymill, we stopped at the MacMillan Coffee Shop for lunch. Luckily, there were tables available outdoors and shaded from the sun, we ordered lentil soup and sandwiches. The food was tasty and good portions, enough to keep my children and I satisfied for the rest of the afternoon’s cycling. The service was very friendly and attentive, from the very polite ladies on duty. This is a very pleasant stop off point, clean facilities, and fairly priced with freshly prepared food for a light lunch. There was plenty of parking for the number of tables the coffee shop offers and adjacent to the lovely Quarrymill Park.

The drinks menu is creative and extensive. Something for everyone. Our server explained the concept of the menu. The key is to look at hints chart: if you like 'this type of drink' try 'this' here. I chose Cheerful. It blew me away. I am not usually a whiskey fan, but it gave a kick to the champagne and the balsamic gave a depth of flavour unique to what I have ever had before. Definitely worth a stop. The bar is gorgeous.
