We had a lovely meal here. Especially enjoyed the mussels special and paillard salad.

Wow..... I have eaten in some lovely restaurants with work and traveling. The food was awesome and very reasonable. Excellent.

We were presently surprised by the restaurant when we arrived, it is a quaint little restaurant with country feel but done in a modern way. Food was really good and the staff were really helpful, would absolutely come back again.

Booked this months back and finally we got there. And we were still late so thanks to the team for putting up with us. Been many times before but never disappoints. The Meze, and then the Sole Paupiette, in particular, were fantastic. And the house Grenache/Viognier pure pleasure to wash it all down with. Welcoming, fun-filled staff as ever. We are truly blessed to have this lovely place in our community and it never fails to hit the spot. Especially for a special evening like this. Thanks all, David, Amanda and Anna.

Came to Usige for the first time for a birthday lunch. Staff were very accommodating, the food and service was spot on, and I look forward to eating here again. Highly recommended.

Really lovely restaurant, one of our party has coeliac and the staff were really helpful and happy to double check that the dishes were fine for her. The atmosphere was lovely and relaxed and the food was simply delicious! One of the best meals we've had in a long time! When we come back to the area we will definitely be returning here!

Always love Uisge. Staff are friendly and laid back but efficient. The food is always good. Toilets immaculate. Decor is stunning. It's a quality restaurant whether you go for filled breakfast rolls or lunch or dinner. The coffee is excellent too. Proper coffee.

First visit here today even though we live in nearby Perth. My wife and I both had breaded fish and chips which was superb, with a light, crisp breaded coating. Served with lovely home made chips and a side salad along with fresh tartar sauce. Generous portions. Finished with two coffees. Staff excellent, friendly and efficient and whole place including the loos was spotless. Not the cheapest place admittedly, especially wines, but great for a special treat.

We had diner here with our cycling team 4 days in a row and everything was superb! The food, the service, great quality for it's price!

We dropped in for lunch unbooked, but were very quickly seated and given the menu and although traditional steak pie and fish and chips were on the menu there was a very varied number of dishes. The waiting staff were attentive without being overly so, and the ambience excellent, the music MOR was just the right volume. It took a little time for us to choose and the waiting staff seemed happy to wait Our food when it arrived was first rate, pork tenderloin and a chicken burger. The meat in both dishes was cooked perfectly as were the chips and salad was room temperature and in a lovely dressing. We did not find fault with any of the experience and will be back soon.

We shared a lovely lunch in the sunshine. The fish was beautiful, and my partner enjoyed the lamb.

On a recent holiday we ate here, the first time was on our first night when we were staying 5 minutes away and it was throughly enjoyable it was a lovely atmosphere with staff that were very pleasant and nothing was too much trouble. The food was great and we had a very nice evening. We then booked to go on our last night, again lovely atmosphere, glad we booked as it did get quite busy and when the locals go you know it’s going to be good.

Such a lovely place for tea. Nice spacious dining area, friendly staff and good food, what more could we want. The room was busy but it was nice and quiet for talking in, right volume on the music! Food was delish, particularly the spring rolls to start, beef cheeks for main and the crumble for pudding was epic! Worth the drive out of town to this tasty wee place

We had a meal here for the first time this week. Plenty parking and when you enter the restaurant has a warm cozy atmosphere and interior decoration is stunning and very in keeping with the countryside area. We had Applewood Cheese Bites to start with, Fish & Chips & Chicken Burger for our mains finished with Apple & Cinnamon Crumble & Custard Tart. The food was delicious and good portions too. Staff are very friendly and attentive will most definitely be coming back. Really good meal and enjoyable atmosphere.

A lovely meal for 5 to celebrate an 85th birthday. Attractive surroundings and good food. We were beautifully looked after by Val (who also makes an excellent mocha!) and Flo. Thank you! We will be back.

We noticed the place on our route to the woods and decided to chance it, on a Saturday evening. The waiter said initially that without a reservation we can't really get a table but a few minutes later said if we're not in a hurry food would arrive maybe 30min later. Lovely place, fantastic déco and furniture, the wood burner gives off proper heat to the whole place, and the food arrived very quickly actually, and it was fresh and well seasoned. We had fish and chips (fresh and tasty for a change, thin crispy crust), the fish croquettes (not as much fish in them but at least tasty potatoes), kibbeh, oat chai latte and apple crumble. All tasty and fresh and the waiter made sure I had the food according to our dietary requirements, which was very much appreciated. All dishes labelled clearly. Overall a really cool place to go for lunch or dinner or just a drink in the evening. Hope to go back there soon to try more of their menu.

We took our mum out for mother's day. She had the Sunday roast and found the beef to be very tough, so much so that she couldn't eat it. The staff were very good and offered her a replacement meal which was seafood pasta that she thoughaly enjoyed.

Came here on the recommendation of a friend and it certainly did not disappoint. Lovely restaurant with friendly and helpful staff. Both our choices were thoroughly enjoyed and we left clean plates! Would definitely recommend. 😋

I was looking forward to trying Uisage today and was impressed when we first went in. The space is pretty cool, the staff were welcoming and friendly, and there were 3 vegan choices on the menu. Wonderful, I thought, this is looking promising. Sadly, it wasn't. Our order of a steak burger and pecan & sweet potato salad took over half an hour to arrive, and when it did, we were shocked at how tiny the salad portion was. I ordered a side portion of chips because it was so small. It was served with silken tofu. Now, although I eat tofu in a variety of ways, I've never eaten silken tofu before, and thought it looked (and tasted) bland, raw, and completely unappetising. A quick Google search advised it can be eaten raw, so technically the restaurant did nothing wrong, although it is usually made into creamy desserts. It was awful. The waiting staff, while still very attentive, didn't ask us how the meal was, they just cleared the dishes away hurriedly, and there was no goodwill gesture, even to take the fries off the bill. All in all, a total disappointment. P.s my partner's burger was lovely apparently and his salad garnish was almost as big as my main course salad.

Back again to our local restaurant to enjoy the work of our new Neapolitan chef whose sole meunière is one of the best fish dishes I’ve ever had. Best wishes for a successful time in Murthly

We were in the area & decided to stop for an early dinner/something to eat. They advertise closing at 6pm but no food orders are taken at 4pm. Very disappointing

Dined here for a friend's birthday meal and was very impressed with the food, friendly service and general ambience in a stylish, modern building. Particularly enjoyed the seabass with crushed herb potatoes followed by whisky mousse. Worth a return visit.

Having visited reasonably successfully on a good number of occasions in the last couple of months very disappointing to arrive today having booked for Sunday lunch with one in the party dairy intolerant to find your chef had put butter into pretty much everything on your roast menu. There was no attempt to offer any alternative and your staff clearly don’t have training in dietary requirements. Left frustrated with no food a spoilt and wasted visit and feeling like a nuisance. Glad in the current economic situation you can afford to lose regular and loyal new customers!

Booked a table for 8 here and was met at the restaurant with a smile. You could tell the food was fresh and the meals were brought out surprisingly quickly considering it was busy. The food did not disappoint and my steak was cooked perfectly!...

Das Lokal ist gut besucht, so dass wir erst zu 14.30 Uhr einen Tisch buchen konnten. Unsere Vorfreude war groß, da das Restaurant 2021 einen Award gewonnen hatte. Auch die gute Speisekarte steigerte unsere Vorfreude. Wie groß war dann die Enttäuschung! Ich hatte eine Meeresforelle bestellt und bekam zu meiner größten Überraschung ein Lachsfilet serviert. An sich ist ein Gemüsebett zu Fisch immer eine gute Idee und auch eine sichere Bank. Aber hier war das Gemüse völlig zerkocht und in einer unglaublichen Menge Salz ertränkt. Ich wurde den wiederlichen Salzgeschmack bis zum Abend nicht los. Der offene Hauswein war unbalanziert und sorgte mit einer spitzen Säure noch für weiteres Unbehagen im durch zu viel Salz schon angegriffenen Rachen. Weiters war das Lamm weiterer Gäste am Tisch 08/15, also lieblos gewürzt und von pappiger Konsistenz. Alles in allem ein Reinfall - nie wieder!

Called up to ask for a table and it was fully Booked but we were advised that we could sit outside and eat. Arrived 20 minutes later (as we called from the car) to be told that there is no food served outside even though...

Booked a couple of tables under the overhang for a long over due family reunion (Newcastle, Ayrshire, Edinburgh and Black Isle) on a warm sunny day and were made to feel very welcome with great food. Perfect central location!

This is a gem of restaurant well worth venturing off the beaten track for. Lovely food in a relaxed setting. The restaurant is beautifully decorated with a lovely ambience. The staff are attentive and very friendly. I had a steak and it was one of the best I have ever had and I thought very reasonably priced.

Nice place to go also with kids. There is little play area outside. Unfortunately there is different policy when eating outside ( different menu, you need to pay straight away and you need to order in the bar inside). But the service was absolutely AMAZING 🤩 and food was good 👍 the Garden Burger (vegan) was really good and they serve great chips 😋❤️

The starter -duck and pork terrine was dry and flies were swarming around our plates. When I reported this to the waitress, she advised me there was nothing she could do about that

What an amazing setting, I've been 5 times and can't complain about anything, I've never had a sticky toffee pudding so light and tasty,, the light bites are great also. The duck, was cooked to perfection, the special lamb,, belissamo,, The staff are very attentative, and the waiter Eddie even sang happy birthday to my friend for her 40th. Highly recommended total 5 star service and location.

A girls outing for lunch, the place was warm and welcoming, no menu's we got our own from the next table. Fish and chips for three and a burger, all voiced positive comments, well cooked, tasty and we would visit again at some time.

Food is not 5 stars (the affogato with almond liqueur is the exception - definitely a 5 star), but not that you have many other options around the area! The environment was excellent though. It is still an excellent spot to visit if you are on a roadtrip looking for a stop.
