Redwood wines would standout as the best place in town in the largest cities in the world - Dunkeld is so lucky to have it. We have eaten there with family & friends and every time I am blown away by the magic Morgan works in the kitchen. An amazing chef & consummate host. And the beef sandwiches for lunch are to die for…..

Superb little wine bar! Came for the jazz, stayed for the wine and will come back for the incredible food and wine. The roast beef sandwich is gigantic, the meatballs perfectly Italian and delicious and go very well with the focaccia. The service is also excellent and the man working there was very cunning about the wines and of course the wine was excellent. Most of the tables were for 2-4 people but there's a really big table in the middle where the 10 of us fit perfectly.

Lovely restaurant of Mediterranean cuisine with plenty of choice for wine. We went for lunch and had pan con tomate, focaccia and prawns, and everything was super tasty. The owner was super friendly and the atmosphere really cozy. A little gem. Highly recommended!

An absolute gem of a find. Incredibly personal and friendly service and experience with the owner filling the roles of chef, waiter, sommelier and KP! Food was delicious, the menu changes daily I understand with enough choice to suit any taste but not so many options to overwhelm. If the burrata is available it is amazing! The wine list is cleverly selected, again with enough choice to make you want to come back for more and each wine hand picked by the owner. There are undoubtedly cheaper places about but you won’t get the same quality or have the same brilliant service as you would at Redwood. We will be back! (And thanks again for letting us watch the penalties on your phone!) 😁

This is a gem of a place in such a lovely village! The wine selection is outstanding, the service supreme and the food is delicious! It's a must if you're visiting Dunkeld. Personal favorite: the kale salad and focaccia is outstanding for a vegetarian lunch!

Exceptional. A real find. Sharing plates a delight. Excellent wine selection, reasonably priced and intimate atmosphere.

From the outside you could be forgiven for thinking that this is a wine shop - but once inside, you find a very cool, calm little restaurant with a relaxed and welcoming proprietor (Morgwn) with his original and interesting menu (and a wine list to challenge a Michelin starred restaurant!!). Take a look at the first para of his website to get a feel for what is being achieved here. We had the chicken liver paté followed by the prawns in a nduja based sauce with white beans and a couple of glasses of Californian Pinot Noir from his family's estate. Some people dislike music in restaurants - you'll love the sophisticated sounds at Redwood Wines!

We had such a fantastic evening at this local restaurant, with fresh food, cheese and a nice selection of wine. Perfect for a night with friends sharing small plates and well-sourced wine. Recommended by the owner, we also went to the pub nearby afterwards (Tayhouse) to listen live music, the atmosphere was fantastic. PS: Also, dog-friendly, which is always a good sign! (there were 3 well-behaved dogs when we were there)

We have been in Scotland for a week and in a trip filled with high note after high note, our dinner at Redwood Wines somehow managed to find its way to the top. This was the kind of meal worth planning your trip around. The food is excellent, the wine was on point, and the ambience was simply perfect. We couldn't have asked for a better way to close out our journey across the Highlands. We will be coming back to Dunkeld specifically to eat here again.

My wife and I were in Dunkeld for two days. We stopped in on both days. The first day, we grabbed a glass of wine and had a great time chatting with the owner. We booked a reservation for dinner the following night. We already had a great feeling about this place. But when we showed up the following night, the experience exceeded our expectations. From start to finish, every part of our dinner was exceptional. The food, the wine, even the margarita, were phenomenal. We are so grateful to Redwood Wines for making our last night in the Highlands such a wonderful and special experience. Can't wait to come back!!

Everything we had was unbelievably good. Can’t wait to come back! I wish I had taken more photos as we ate our way through the menu, however we just ate it all too fast because it looked so amazing (It tasted just as good as it looked!)!

Dunkeld has many culinary gems, and Redwood Wines is among the top of them. Morgan grew up in a family of chefs, has extensive cooking experience and sources most things locally. The menu changes daily (sometimes within the same day) depending on what is fresh and available. What you can count on is that the food will be delicious and delicate. I am not a wine person, but the selection looked robust, with many people coming to buy wine while we had lunch. Highly recommended and will be a stop every time we are in the area.

Found this gem on a visit to Dunkeld. Lovely environment to have a couple of wines. The owners spent some of their time explaining about the wines we chose. If you like your wine definitely visit this shop.

An absolute gem…if you are staying in the area you should try it… I can’t say what will be on the menu it changes daily but I can guarantee it will be great…and cooked and served with great knowledge and charm,

This place is truly a hidden gem. If you’re looking for a place for great food and wine, this is the place. Though it is called ‘Redwood Wines’, it’s not a typical wine store – it’s more an excellent café with carefully curated wine offerings. The chef-owner knows his wines (he comes from a family of vintners) and his menu is wonderfully refreshing and stands out from dishes commonly found elsewhere. We came in for lunch and left mighty full and well libated. We had the duck liver pate, focaccia, and anchovies, followed by an American style stacked roast beef sandwich that had a marvelous tarragon aioli as well as a beet salad. We ended our visit with a light tres leches cake and full-bodied coffee. Redwood Wines is a small café/shop manned by the owner, but it has big offerings for any appetite. The place is bright and airy with a welcoming ambiance that would make you want to return. I know we do. Next time for dinner. I can't wait. Parking, however, is challenging. Street parking is very limited, but there is a parking lot about a block or two from the shop – still, it may be difficult to find a spot because the village is a draw for many visitors.

I have been here a handful of times now and absolutely love it, it’s our favourite little spot to go when we are in dunkeld. The owner is so helpful and friendly. The food is amazing, I don’t have a sweet tooth but the deserts are alway amazing! Can’t wait to go back already

Fantastic little venue. Second time we have been here and highly recommend a visit. The owner is very friendly and does everything himself. The food is superb, great quality and the wines are excellent. We arrived around half 1 on a Saturday and found a table for two. We ordered the charcuterie and it was perfect for two. Pictures are attached. We had a glass of the Gruner Veltliner and the Muscat and both were superb, perfect temperature and great quality. The place was busy but service was superb. We really couldn’t find fault in anything, a really enjoyable trip / meal /drink!

THE very best sandwich I have eaten. I have to commend the owners for the most stunning sandwich . The Roast Beef ,tarragon aioli , pickled red onion & rocket . On fresh focaccia . Sublime . No ordinary sandwich , the beef was succulent , tasty cooked to perfection. Be under no disillusion, the filling is MASSIVE. Quality through & through . Thank you so much .

My husband and I came across Redwood Wines after a long day of travelling home from the West Coast. A very lovely and unexpected find and just what we needed after long hours in the car. Food was outstanding, service was lovely and atmosphere relaxed. My husband told me the wines were delicious, I had a very tasty non alcoholic beer. We will defenitely return.

Hired the space at Redwood Wines as a wedding party dinner the night before our wedding and it was an absolute highlight of the weekend. The food was beyond incredible, the wines were divine and the host Morgwn was kind, courteous and knowledgeable. A big big thank you to the team, would definitely recommend a visit.

An absolute MUST if you're in Dunkeld or in the area. Morgan is a fantastic host, the venue is gorgeous and so intimate and the food is delicious. I cannot recommend it more and can't wait to be back. Don't let the name of the restaurant fool you... this isn't just a great place for wine!

What a great wine cafe to lunch on our day visit to Dunkeld. Redwood has a very interesting selection of wines & our host knew the backstory to each one. We enjoyed a wonderful cheese & charcuterie platter after very tasty starters. A real discovery that we will be finished back to.

First visit. Blown away by the quality of the food. It’s not “good” or “excellent” it’s well beyond that. Like something you would expect to see on Masterchef. 4 of us and we had the beef sandwich and the Dunkeld Smoked Salmon. Both were beyond words. This is a classic example of “you get what you pay for”. Some excellent wine to go with it too.

Extraordinary! What a discovery. Keep it quiet everyone! Can’t believe our luck to just have moved home to Scotland and found this only 45 mins drive away. Apart from the amazing food, wines are very well priced and Morgwn knows his wines and food to an outstanding standard.

We visited Redwood Wines yesterday for a light lunch and had a wonderful culinary and wine experience. We opted for the sharing platter of charcuterie and cheese accompanied by a lovely zingy Grillo and sublime Fleurie . Both the food (in terms of quality and presentation) and wines were exquisite.Morgwn (owner/proprietor/host/bread maker/salami producer and duck liver mousse with Calvados maker!) is an excellent host who was both professional and informative of the food and wines on offer. What a gem of a place in the charming town of Dunkeld. I would highly recommend a visit to the town and Redwood wines. We left in the knowledge that we had enjoyed a special culinary experience.

An excellent place for a light lunch with local produced products. They have a lovely selection of wines, to buy, as well as drink with your meal, these are not generally found in other "wine shops" and are all hand chosen by the owners.

Bright and cheerful restaurant with very helpful staff. We had the meat and cheese charcuterie with freshly baked Focaccia bread to share.Well presented and very tasty, especially the Blue Cheese. We took what we could not eat home in a paper carton supplied by them. They have an extensive display of wines on display and available plus a few bottles of beer which include an Alcohol free beer. Parking in Dunkeld is a problem, near the restaurant, but there is parking place at the top of the village.

Absolutely fabulous and varied dinner of small plates prepared and served by Morgwn. Not to be missed if visiting Dunkeld. You will not be disappointed.

Such a lovely place! My husband and I went for wine and snacks when visiting Dunkeld, and ended up booking for lunch the next day because we loved it so much. A beautiful, bright space; excellent selection of wine to sit-in and take home; and really delicious food. The owner is friendly and knowledgeable. I look forward to returning sometime soon!

We had an unforgettable night hosted by Morgan and Roseanna! From the exquisite food and wine (they definitely know how to pair wine - wawee) to the service from the couple. It was top notch from start to finish and we couldn’t have wished for a better Hogmanay meal. It is an absolute must if you are visiting Dunkeld!

Amazing staff very friendly and helpful I’m sorry I didn’t take photos of the shop inside I was served an amazing espresso in a china cup , ristretto exactly how should be done ✅ I bought a bottle of wine for the butcher next door where I shopped a couple of kg of venison So Definitely 5 stars Also very clean environment Car park is just at 5 minutes walking and is in a wonderful spot , see photos And I’ve added a photo of a man with 2 bottles of wine in his hands , location CarphinHouse in Lutrie near Cupar You can’t believe The day I went to the redwood He traveled for a golf experience near Dunkeld and stopped here to buy these bottles of wine I was cooking for them as private chef 👩‍🍳 and I heard Dunkeld and redwood and that the Owner of the shop are very nice people So I realised that we both went to same location that day without knowing each other yet What amazing coincidence Ps These 2 bottles of wine were bought at £78 each But In the shop you’ll find any range of prices from 7 or £9 per bottles Of course this is a specialised winery merchant so you will expect to find good wines here

Absolutely delicious. A bit pricey but worth it. The cheese and meats platter had some beautiful and complimentary flavours. The orange and olive oil dessert was truly scrumptious with black Ceylon tea as a perfect companion. Thank you Redwood wines for all the care and attention you gave us.

We Didn't get a chance to spend more time enjoying the food with a glass or 2 but will definitely be doing this next time. Magnificent little cafe and wine shop owned and run by Scottish woman and her expat American husband. They are charming and so hospitable. The wine selections are as good as you find at a much larger purveyor with very high end wines and very reasonably priced wines as well. The lunch we had was superb. From charcuterie to oysters to sandwiches. The roast beef sandwich is enough for two. There’s only seating for a dozen or so people so call ahead.

Great little wine bar with a good selection of wines by the glass. We told the owner we had reservations across the street for dinner and just wanted a glass of wine, so we didn’t see the food menu. But others were looking at the menu and talking about it and if I get back to the area, I’ll give the food a try as well.

A small, cosy, intimate, boutique wine bar. (Which also does a small selection of cocktails and bespoke bottled lagers). Incredible owner/wine connoisseur/creative chef, who can equally enthuse and educate with his knowledge, with not even a hint of wine snobbery. Ask Morgwn about his family connection to Californian wines, and indulge in his truly incredible small plates offerings. From a relaxing evening, to a unique take on a celebratory night - Redwood Wines is an asset to Dunkeld and the surrounding area. Tasting Sessions can be arranged for private parties, and looking out for the odd Instagram promotional theme nights. The great thing is it only has seating for about 20-ish in total. Consequently the attentive service is bespoke and unique.

You'll struggle to find a better sandwich in Scotland. The shop has a lovely welcoming atmosphere and Morgwn is very accomodating for wine tasting planning/advice. A must visit!
