It’s one of those places that you pass time and time again, wondering what’s in there. Had time to kill yesterday on the way up the A9. Popped in with just the intention of a wee nosey and ended up having a cooked breakfast in the restaurant. They also sell foods, clothes, accessories and homeware/ gifts. Staff were friendly and approachable. Thumbs up for the cook breakfast and coffee/ tea in normal sized cups instead of those silly large cups that other places seem to favour. Will be back again and already recommended Taste Perthshire to family. Well done!

A great stop on our way up to Speyside. Good car chargers for the EV, a lovely little loop walk for the dog past the cows and sheep. Dogs are welcome in the cosy cabins on the patio, but not inside the building. Good, traditional menu with something for everyone.

If my husband told me one more time it was best steak pie he had ever tasted, I may have screamed. Still can’t blame them for that 🤣 amazing food! Every one of us loved our food. Lots to see and buy. They have farm animals around for everyone to see and you can feed the highland cows if you want. A little play area for kids if it is dry and they had cute little huts you could eat in. Defo go back here when we are next venturing out of Edinburgh.

Probably the best services I’ve stopped at after Cairn Lodge/Tebay. Really good range of food and snacks (and gifts if that’s your jam). Heading South from the Highlands makes for a good place to stock up on lunch before hitting the busier roads of the Central belt - made for a good brunch before starting to ease myself back into the hustle and bustle.

Food is okay but not very flavourful, staff always friendly and helpful. It can get very busy in here due to it being one of the lunch stops for tourist busses. It can get very loud in there with the amount of people, however it has a new wonderful outside sitting area which I am very much looking forward to try out once the outside temperature allows it.

We stopped here for lunch as we travelled between Gretna Green and Inverness . Sufficient car parking and not far off the main road when breaking a journey. So much to see inside makes a lovely break. We headed to the restaurant first with cloakrooms adjacent. The restaurant was spacious, friendly, and helpful staff with a lovely ambience. It gets very busy at peak times , not surprisingly. A good menu catering for gluten-free diets. We then explored the other areas. So much to see! A fabulous food hall, fancy goods for buying gifts, a toy shop area and a clothing store. All need to be explored! Such a variety of items under one roof. Went for festive afternoon tea. We didn't think it was as good as we have had before. Wrong sandwich came out, and when I eventually got a waitperson they fixed it no problem. The cream and jam for the scones were put on the table more or less as we sat done. Then we had to wait about 20 mins for stand to come out. Meringue was lovely, but, personally, we felt the cream was slightly over whipped. Scone was really crumbly. Staff offered refills on hot drinks, which was fantastic, they were also offering boxes for leftovers. Not sure I would go back.
