The best restaurants in Fife Central Scotland

While walking the fife coastal path from St Andrews via Crail, Anstruther, Pittenweem and St Monans and on to Leven to take a train home to Edinburgh I stayed in the Crusoe on my last night and had a great stay in a lovely room with a view of the beach with the waves gently lapping all the way up to the hotel; great fish and chips evening meal and excellent cooked breakfast. I was able to walk directly from the hotel along the beach to Leven to get my train. The staff were all excellent being both helpful and very friendly. Often the last stopover on a trip can influence your overall view of the trip and my experience of the Crusoe was terrific. I would stay here again without hesitation.

Freshly made food and lots of different things for sale in the shop

Haven't eaten there ,but was working In a house behind and the gentleman saw me in my van drinking my tea.from my flask at lunch. As I walked past he stopped me and said if I want a cuppy just come In. The gesture really made my my day and was very thoughtful. I am back tomorrow so I will go in for food.

A great spot for good coffee and fast service. Food is good too.

been with this Chinese for years and you kind of expect an hour to wait but tonight wow ordered at 4.30pm got to 6pm (1h.30m) called to be told new driver should be much longer ok got to 6.50pm called again driver had an emergency why not say before or get another driver to collect first drivers orders. Option of start order again or refund so choose refund will need to find a new Chinese shame as food is very nice when it comes.

Terrible, crepe was so hard to cut like cardboard and Lotus biscoff waffle was so plain hardly any sauce or topping. Terrible portions of ice cream too after paying more for extra scoop! What happened? this place use to be amazing?? Waste of almost 20 quid.

Had a mixed calazone was delish. Would reccomend.
