Tasty.... My friend and I visited here fir the 1st time. Very pleasant surroundings, equally pleasant staff. We sat through the back which was very nice. The coffee was really nice but the Rhubarb Loaf.....well!! It was amazing! I'll definitely be going again

I love this place. It is very friendly and comfortable and the cakes are way too tempting. However, they are not so sweet as other places which, to me, is a big bonus. Try the cheesecakes. You get a good sized slice too

Located in the historical Merchants Quarter short walk from the harbour area that was and still us used bringing supplies from foreign countries. The cafe style venue has a selection of coffees, coffee syrups and a wide range of teas to suit your taste, fresh homemade soup daily, an exciting range of sandwiches in a choice of white, or brown bread. Quiet seating in well decorated surroundings.

Previously it had more of a pub feel which the large bar still holds on to. Table tops are a bit more utilitarian but the menu suggests high designs which it doesn’t quite deliver. Large portion of tasty starters but over priced and slightly over cooked steak with fish and chips where the batter on one side was over and the other side slightly under.

Went for lunch but the place was closed. No sign at the end of the road to say so. It looks as if it could be closed for quite a while yet. Very disappointing. Signs to say closed and for how long at the end of the road would be helpful.

This is a total rip-off. I went there with my wife for coffee and tea. The service was so slow despite having only six clients. We had a white coffee and tea with one chocolate brownie. The charge was £12.50. I have been here several times and always been satisfied. This place has changed out of all recognition and I will never return.

Really enjoyed the Steak Pie tonight but they still can't serve coffee in the bar after 8pm. A great shame as their coffee is also really good.

First visit today for lunch and it won’t be our last. Sits right on the promenade looking over the water. We had a lovely walk beforehand and worked up an appetite. I had battered fish and chip and hubby had steak pie and chips. Both meals arrived piping hot and delicious 😋 very good service.
