St Andrews Road Scottish Fisheries Museum, Scotland
Very restricted lunch menu, only soup or baked potato. When I enquired about sandwiches was told they could make some on white bread but these were not on the menu. We didn’t stay.
Food is expensive and terrible. Stopped by for lunch as working near by. Waited around 15 mins for a cheeseburger and chips and a salt n chilli chicken with chips which was already sitting in the hot plate. Oven chips burnt to a crisp. Both meals ended up in the bin. Save yourself money and nip in to the co-op next door. £15 wasted
Everything was really overpriced. Not only that but the food was so bad. There was a really long hair in my burger. I went with friends and we all felt pretty sick afterwards. The food also took a pretty long time to come out and the staff were clearly all new.
Fun experience to visit this iconic pub. Been to the town many times but never managed to visit before now. Had eaten so did not sample the food but lots of happy diners around and food looked decent. Drinks on the pricey side but expected due to location. Nice outside area which I imagine would be packed in summer. Great addition to the old course hotel.
Good food, freshly prepared, large portions and well priced
I had take away however their restaurant was clean and the staff were lovely. It was a Sunday evening and it was quite busy with families
I had the pleasure of dining at Tulsi St Andrews, and I can confidently say it was an unforgettable experience! From the moment I walked in, I was greeted by a warm and welcoming atmosphere that instantly set the tone for a relaxing meal. The ambiance is truly unique, with a perfect blend of modern elegance and cozy charm. The lighting and decor create a perfect backdrop for a memorable dining experience.
Staff while friendly start off with a "sit in or takeaway" question rather than a hello or anything else which is a bit odd.
The glasses that Costa use for coffees are actually very uncomfortable to hold and this is a nationwide Costa issue. They're also incredibly heavy.
A few lights were broken / failing and therefore the store was pretty dim inside.
Also not sure of the policy but allowing dogs inside is strange. Not talking service dogs here, just Joe blogs dogs. As they walked out the dog put it's head on two other customers tables probably trying to have a quick look what's there but clearly the customers didn't appreciate or like it. This policy needs changing as not everyone is a dog person or wants their cafe experience to be interrupted by dogs.
Takeaway. Haddock was meaty and tasty and not greasy. Chicken goujons were enjoyed but the chips were pretty bland, soggy and presentation of it all is just poor. Fish slapped on top of chips. Service good. Still a wee bit expensive due to location but better than Cromars
