Down a wynd so dont miss it! Great for lunch breakfast or cuppa and cake. Really friendly service.
Great choices available for vegetarians. Quick table service and downstairs and upstairs tables.
A cornucopia of foods on offer at this deli - it would make any self catering holiday in the area a high class culinary experience - excellent range of take away sandwiches made before your very eyes
We've popped in here a few times over the years for a fab ice cream coming back from Silver Sands beach.
Tonight we were hungry. We wanted fish and chips! And these fish and chips are from the Dalgety Fish Bar (below this restaurant).
The fish was really good. The chips? We're still searching for crispy, golden brown chips - and requested them specially. Nobody seems to know what this means!
So no golden chips.
But a beautiful piece of fish made up for it. The tartar sauce and curry sauce (probably pre-packaged?) were very good.
The star of the show (on top of the fab gelato!) was the server, Jody.
Happy, helpful, very welcoming and a great server, too.
She's a real gem!
Definitely worth a visit. And there's a beautiful view of the Forth, too.
Nicely decorated restaurant, serves food until 10pm. The staff is nice, but the service is quite slow. The fish and chips was very bad, the frozen fish was hard to chew. A bit expensive when compared to other places. The Mexican food, on the contrary, was tasty and well cooked.

Sushi was not cold and nothing really tasted like sushi from any of the places I've ever had it (30-40 times in the last 10 years). Imitation krab used as well instead of real crab. Haggis roll was alright, as was the tempura, but definitely not going back. Quality was less than supermarket sushi.
The Dunvegan Bar is a small restaurant/bar on Broad Street Cowdenbeath. Its run by husband & wife team, the husband is the chef and his wife does the waitressing and helps in the bar. Its very friendly and welcoming. The food is always made fresh on order. I love the Haggis pillows for starters, followed by Chicken & haggis Pie with chips & veggies and I always manage to make room for desserts. Its well worth a visit, call and book a table, give it a try.
We always enjoy a great meal at Saffrons’s and tonight’s special Valentines Banquet knocked it out of the park - as they say!
Amazing tastes of street food and over 9 courses! Great experience. Some of the best tastes of India we have ever had. Please arrange something like this again soon!
Thank you to all the staff who were helpful and courteous and helped make it a great experience.
Not sure if it was an off day, had high hope for the cafe however. Ordered food, was informed there were no beans left so we changed our order. 1 minute went by an I heard the waiter tell the next tables they had gotten beans. Food arrived, food was fine. Asked for ketchup, waited for a few minutes and seen the waiter had forgot so had to get up myself. Asked for some more butter. Don’t think one small butter would do two slices of toast. Toast was cold & so was the mug of tea. Went to pay and waited, the waitress completely ignored me, she was busy however a simple “ I’ll be with you in a sec” would have gone a long way. Won’t be the last visit would like to try again. Not a massive issues just a little disappointed.
I was looking for a place to take my elderly mother, I thought it would be a nice treat for her to have lunch away from the care home she lives in.
I did half an hour of research online, looking for a cafe that was not too far away from her care home, that had local parking.
I checked online and that this place had good reviews it said it was open now from 09:00 until 17:00 on TripAdvisor.
I made an appointment with the care home and told them what I planned to do for lunch with mum. I want to collect her, we had a 15 to 20 min drive to the cafe and found the car park right opposite which was ideal. I park up then took mum across the road to the cafe to find them closed, with no sign on the door or notes anywhere explaining why???
I can NOT recommend anyone waste their time going to this cafe if they can't even be bothered to keep their online details up to date.
We did find a great cafe next door Mcgregor's Coffee Shop it is called. Great food, wonderful friendly staff who kept the place clean.
My first coffee out for 18 months. Boy did i land lucky, superb Rocky Road cake, excellent service, clean and fresh establishment. Will be back to try some of the other cake offerings.
