I have been to millys a handful of times now and am always delighted with how pleasant the staff are and how tasty the food is. A lovely wee place in Cupar if you need a wee bite or a cup of tea. I especially enjoy sitting upstairs where it’s a bit more quiet.

I visited on my own on Saturday 2nd Feb for a quick cup of coffee and a piece of cake which were very good. My visit was spoilt by the young waitress who had an unfriendly approach to customer service. This is best summed up by her response to my ( what I thought was a helpful, kind act ) bringing my cup and plate over to the counter when I went to pay. She said in a dismissive disrespectful tone, you don’t need to do that, we have to clean the tables… Sadly this spoilt my visit and I won’t be going back

The biggest compliment I can give this place is that it transported me back to me childhood. Which was a long time ago! As you discover this wee gem just off the High Street in Cupar, you do so by walking through a close that reminded me of my regular visits to my Gran's house for lunch. Once inside, the nostalgia continued, as I was taken back to a house furnished with shelves of books, kids games on a table, and jars of jam on the table and counter. We had to wait a good ten minutes for our food, which I always take as a good sign that I'm about to get something fresh and made with love. What arrived did not disappoint. Leek and potato soup that was identical to my Gran's, and a toastie you could have used as a doorstop. Bliss. Jam spilled out the side of my wee girl's Empire biscuit, which also got rave reviews. Staff were lovely and attentive, and gave my dog his obligatory ear scratches and fuss. He'd have been raging if they didn't! I'm not in Cupar very often, but the next time I'm in town I know where I'm going for my lunch. My Gran's house from the 80's, AKA Milly's Kitchen, an absolute wonder in the Kingdom of Fife...

Lovely wee cafe tucked up close in Cupar. Friendly staff and good coffee and bakes. Gluten free and vegan options available. Dog friendly- blankets supplied- and helpful staff. we ended up there unexpectedly having had miserable experience at the flashier but not as nice Balgove Larder - but they did us a favour as we found this wee gem instead.

Having gone to another cafe/tearoom in Cupar where it was quite clear that my outrageous request for a coffee at 3pm on a Saturday would be an imposition for a 90% empty facility, I’m delighted that I stumbled across Milly’s kitchen. Lovely scone and coffee served by chatty, friendly staff. Made to feel very welcome and I will certainly be back when I’m in Cupar

Popped in for refreshments, myself and partner. It was quiet because of the bad weather and being after 3pm. Nevertheless, ordered soup which was homemade, I had curried butternut squash and coconut, it was very tasty and filling. (Served in a large bowl). My partner had the same soup with a chicken, avocado and lemon pesto sandwich, he said both were excellent, the sandwich had lots of chicken.I had green tea and he had a latte, overall, everything was good quality so definitely recommend. Did not have enough space left for a cake though!

Situated up a pend just off the main shopping area. This cafe was lovely and clean inside and bigger than we expected. The service was quick and pleasant, coffee was good quality and hot. I would have given 5 stars if the short walk up the pend to the door was not littered with broken glass, dropped chips and had an overflowing bin which had clearly been there quite a while. I realise that millies kitchen may not be responsible for the pend but it almost put us off going in! I'm glad it didn't.

Was recommended this wee place tucked away up a wee alley way. Mainly for the dog friendly aspect, but this is just the start, Cappuccinos are awesome and the carrot cake is amazing simply the best I’ve tasted. Staff are so kind and friendly, but I hear it’s up for sale, which is such a pity because the team there work so well together. I will be keeping a close eye to see what happens. But get there before end of October, It’s great .

We came across this place as a result of our daughter’s recommendation. We took our 22-month granddaughter there for lunch, and were pleasantly surprised. While there wasn’t a specific menu for children, they kindly made up a cheese roll for her. We had the quiche and pork sausage roll, with selections of delicious salads. While the menu is limited, what is on offer is certainly worth the money, even if some people might baulk at a £7 price tag on most main meals. The staff were very helpful and friendly and it is definitely worth a visit, if you are in Cupar.

We arrived but it was full and we were asked to come back in 15 minutes and a table for two would be reserved for us. When we went back we were told there were no tables and to sit and wait. The person who reserved the table was not about. We waited some time and wondered if the empty table we could see was for us. The original lady appeared and told the others that the table was for us. We sat down and placed out order for tea, a soup and a bacon roll. The tea arrived quickly but the food took about 20 minutes to come. Although it was very tasty we were disappointed in the speed of the service as they were by the time we sat down not busy and there were quite a few empty tables. I would go back and give them another try.

This is the best coffee shop in St Andrews - but only in terms of the coffee and the food. I love the drinks and the bagels especially are *french kiss* but I would love to be able to come and sit, and enjoy my bagel at a table. The issue is that the already limited seating is taken up by students who have pretty much always finished their drinks. I really think it would be a good idea to have maybe half of the seats reserved for people who just want to come and sit for 10 minutes to have a drink because the shop itself is so nice and clearly very well finished. As a student myself I know there are plenty of study spaces in town so a study free area surely wouldn't meet much resistance? I for one would visit the cafe much more often, instead of just for takeaways. That said, the staff are amazing and the coffee is superb.

My husband and I visited here today and ordered a cup of spicy lentil soup and a sandwich cost £10 each. The food arrived and my cup of soup was only half full and my husband's 3/4 full.I took my soup back and was told you only get one ladle.I said it should be a cupful as stated but was told no.I went back to my seat but was livid as I hate to be ripped off.I asked for the manager and the guy on the till said I will give you more soup which he did.The soup was lovely and the sandwiches also good made with lovely bread. The guy came over to take the plates and said he was sorry he upset me and I said you didn't upset me and I had been annoyed at being done.He apologised and offered me a free lunch.I advised I am only here for the day.The next thing he was back with 2 sweets in a box with forks and napkins to eat later.I thanked him for the cakes. We had them with coffee later on and delicious. I don't know the guys name but you have restored my faith in humanity and the cafe.We will visit again and encourage others to do so also.Thank you for your understanding.
