Absolutely delicious Pea soup with chicken mayo toastie. Lovely brownie and cappuccinos to follow. Still feeling full 8 hours later! Reasonable price and very clean premises with plenty of parking nearby. Staff obviously take pride in their work too which is appreciated. Will be back.

Plenty of free parking and great views of the harbour. A delightfully clean and airy restuarant with a small art gallery and a few souvenirs for sale. We didn't book and that seemed a problem until an experienced staff member interceded. A short but ideal menu with fair prices. The coffee was great but the flapjack less so, but edible. A great venue with its downstairs gallery closed for renovation. Staff very agreeable and a little slow perhaps.

Very disappointed. Food was ok, but the attitude wasn't. First of all, the order (for 3 people, not 30) was wrong. Then, we ended up waiting ages to order a coffee since the lack of eye contact on the part of the waiters was excellent! When eventually we managed, and they brought it, they didn't even think to remove the lunch dishes, so we had no room to drink it! No, definitely won't be back.

I’ve never been here before but a friend had recommended it so stopped for a break while out walking. It was mid morning and I was on my own but really enjoyed it. There is both take-away and table options inside and so I opted to sit in and was given a table and order taken in good time. I just had a coffee and a filled roll but both were excellent, service good and prices very reasonable. A hidden gem and likely that I will return.

Fab little gem , sublime food , we had the smoked salmon eggs and the harbourmasters leaky eggs, both the best we have ever had. Lovely attentive staff and great location. Not to be missed

Always get the same thing, which is scrambled egg on toast, which I can't fault in any way. Staff are lovely, and I always get the same seat. Great place to come for breakfast.

This was a favourite place to go but we haven't been for a few months. We went today for lunch - no reservation - and were given table 9. After a while no-one was coming to take our order despite two tables who came in after us having their orders taken. We decided we shouldn't have to beg for food so we left. Very unlikely we will be back. Such a shame.

A fantastic range of lunchtime food - it was hard to choose - will have to come back! Who needs smashed avocado on toast when you can enjoy the phenomenal leeky eggs (Poached eggs, bacon, leeks, hollandaise on sour dough toast). Friendly staff who coped admirably with a busy cafe. Oh yes, and it's in a great location!

Popped in here whilst exploring the Fife coast and was very impressed by both the warm welcome and the creative menu. I had the pea soup together with a toasted coronation chick pea sandwich (a novel variation on a theme!) that went down very well. Encouraging to see the cafe so busy and would wholeheartedly recommend this eaterie to anyone visiting the fascinating town of Dysart...there's a lot of history and art to explore around here too!!

I love this delightful cafe. Today I only popped in for a to go cup of the Gunpowder green tea and a slice of the gluten free cherry slice. I have found it to always be clean and the staff very friendly and helpful. I have had nothing but good experience every time. Every time I have visitors this is our lunchtime spot. Better to call ahead and book a table because it is often busy

The food is good, freshly made on site to order. They cater for every taste. The coffee is up there with the best. The situation is stunning. Portions are more than generous- in fact a good idea might be to offer some smaller portions for oldies and kids. The staff is courteous, helpful and efficient. It is great to be able to see the kitchen workin and doing so like a well-liked machine!

My wife and I had lunch at the Harbourmasters today and it was excellent. Great service from polite, enthusiastic and good humoured staff. Reasonably priced, beautifully produced food and outstanding coffee and cakes. But the main course of Leaky Eggs is thoroughly recommended, as it stole the show, quite difficult in this great establishment. Congratulations to all concerned, you all deserve to do well in a difficult business; thank you very much for a wonderful, faultless experience which is quite unusual in our recent experience.

This is our second visit to the cafe and hope it won't be our last. Lovely and clean, great selection of teas and coffee. Waitress was fab but yet again service let down by male who seems to be in charge. Pretty unwelcoming and would almost be enough to deter us from returning. Fingers crossed it's a day off for him when we return.

We popped in for a coffee on a Sunday morning. Even though the cafe was fully booked the waiter was fantastic and got us a table in no time. We loved the feel of the place and the views out over the harbour. So much so that we booked for lunch the next day and had the amazing ‘leeky eggs’. Highly recommended!

Having wandered round Culross, we were hungry, so popped in here. We had quite a wait, but it was well worth it! The two (handmade) soups were delicious – wish the bowl had been a bit bigger, though. The sandwiches were really tasty, on lovely thick brown bread.

This is the best coffee shop in St Andrews - but only in terms of the coffee and the food. I love the drinks and the bagels especially are *french kiss* but I would love to be able to come and sit, and enjoy my bagel at a table. The issue is that the already limited seating is taken up by students who have pretty much always finished their drinks. I really think it would be a good idea to have maybe half of the seats reserved for people who just want to come and sit for 10 minutes to have a drink because the shop itself is so nice and clearly very well finished. As a student myself I know there are plenty of study spaces in town so a study free area surely wouldn't meet much resistance? I for one would visit the cafe much more often, instead of just for takeaways. That said, the staff are amazing and the coffee is superb.
