Just the best place to go for drinks, food and snacks. Super friendly family owned business that runs like clockwork. Great local produce and first class service. Everyone needs an Elie Deli in their lives.

If it wasn’t for the rude girl that served us I would highly rate this place. The takeaway food we had was great but what a shame pleasant customer service is in very short supply by this one member of staff in particular. Having told my English born children the Scottish are so friendly (being one myself) they unfortunately would disagree after this experience. I’m not sure if I missed it but I couldn’t see anything listing the sandwich options and it was way beyond this girls ability to kindly tell me or show me what was available. We won’t rush back. There’s plenty other places to choose from.

2 cheese rolls on a plain white roll, buttered, nothing fancy about the cheese - £6. Overpriced for something that was nothing special.

A great shop, packed with a wonderful selection of cheese, meats, bread and lots of other yummy treats. Staff very helpful and friendly. Will call again

We called here a few times while we were staying in Elie. The staff were very friendly and they have a very wide selection on products, Including cooked meats, cheeses also a lot of other products. They also have a good selection of wines.

We called in here a few weeks ago on our way home from Dundee. What a find! Great salads and sandwiches. Really tasty. We also bought some Elie Deli marmalade. It is delicious. Elie Deli - I know you are small - but please find a way to do more online. I will contact you to see if you can help me with my marmalade fix. It really is the best I have ever tasted.

Perfect village spot to get yummy Scottish supplies from deli meats, cheeses, salads and desserts to coffee, cream, wine and whiskey. We shopped there twice during our week-long stay nearby.

Grabbed a quick cup of tea in here about midday on a Saturday. Disappointingly all the croissants and pastries had already sold out but useful little place to grab a cuppa to takeaway if visiting and the little shortbread that came as an extra treat was lovely! The selection of Gins behind the till was great to see as well.

We arrived at 10.30 on a Saturday for breakfast. Usually they don’t have brown rolls left but on this occasion they did. Ordered square sausage and potato scone roll. No square sausage no potato scone and this was a Saturday am. We often find this when we visit. Maybe the ordering service needs looked at. Sometimes when we visit the cafe isint even open. Their door sign says different. If it wasn’t for the lady with the black hair who waitresses and cooks we wouldn’t go at all. Sorry but it’s how we feel

One of the few places to buy supplies in the village. A fine range of excellent foods and a great location. A god range of spirits and drinks and some high quality deli style food.

Thoroughly enjoyed our coronation chicken and tuna mayo open sandwiches. Beautiful bread with tasty fillings . The coronation chicken was particularly nice. We shared a piece of lemon cake which was a bit disappointing, the sponge tasted a little synthetic. It did look different in texture to the other cakes so I am looking forward to trying them another time. The coffee was very nice. We would happily return and recommend.

Due to floors being mopped on a Saturday at 1.50 we thought they were closing. However, the very friendly owner told us it was just a midday tidy up - bit off putting tho. We shared a delicious coronation chicken brown seeded baguette and a piece of Victoria sponge. Plenty between two at lunchtime. Friendly service from (I think) a well run family business. It’s really a only a deli with a couple of outside tables. So, you may be lucky and get one, or you might have to picnic on the beach.

Not to be missed. Great selection of food and drinks and staff could not have been more helpful. Thank you.

Stopped here for lunch whilst visiting the area. Quick service and friendly staff. Food was fresh, tasty and reasonably priced. Good selection of baking available, bought 2 cakes to go which were nice. Would recommend and will visit again when in the area.

Enjoyed breakfast here before walking Fife Coastal Path to Crail. This shop has everything (food & drinks) that walkers could need. Very nice staff. A clean, bright and well organised shop with a great range of stock.

Great staff and we really enjoyed our lunch and the home made cakes were different from the norm and superb as well. We will definitely be back

We arrived a bit late for breakfast but when we asked if they would make some it was no problem at all. Good was delicious and staff were absolutely lovely. Will definitely be back in our next visit.

What a great place to visit for breakfast , brunch or lunch - - friendly staff greet you and even allow well behaved dogs in , which is a bonus , the place is spotlessly clean in all aspects - highly recommended

I can recommend the prawn Marie rose and potato salad. The shop is lovely. Nice selection of goods. I would return.

Popped in to the deli and associated cafe for a drink and something to eat one lunchtime. Food was simple but in a good way which went down well with the kids. Service was good. Would go back.

Located in Elie on the Fife Coast, Elie Deli Tasse appears to be newish, Pleasant, clean environment, good coffee, good service.

Yummy bread baked daily, delicious home made coleslaw. Pricey but worth it. Friendly staff too.We visited every lunch time and would definitely recommend.

A great deli, fresh croissants and pain au chocolate and an excellent chilled counter. Friendly staff, and we managed to stock up with all we needed for our weeks stay

This was a real revelation , really nice good and foods ( I bought Vinegar Bread Dipper ) - I would say the Gourment Foods and Breads are the highlight of the day ( I never see stuff like this in Galashiels ) - I was also impressed with the efficient , friendly service as well - recommended

Near the end of our day's walk the rain started so we decided lunchtime had arrived. We saw this small shop at the approach to Elie. Great welcome and even better soup and fresh sandwich made to order. Busy shop -no wonder. Great service,food and friendly staff. Well done.

the deli always has such an amazing array of goods for a small shop, the fresh breads and pastries are well worth the early morning trip up the high street and I can highly recommend the Puddledub butchers produce!

I wasnt overly impressed with this place. Was quite expensive although I expected that as its the only shop for miles if you are in Elie. They have some nice deli goods and fresh bread. In addition overpriced staples. I would rather go to the farm shop just outside Elie though.But if you need loo roll you may have to

Following a fire the Deli has moved 2 doors down and has managed to maintain its high standards whilst waiting to move back to refurbished premises.

Were greeted by three welcoming staff members who guided us through our choice of delicacies! A must visit while in gorgeous Elie!!

It was good to see the Elie Deli up and running after a catastrophic fire destroyed their original premises. I appreciated the efforts to re-stock and to keep going. On my last visit there was a good selection of groceries, wine and beer as well as locally made ready to go items. Definitely a local food hero.

Its such a relief to have Elie Deli back open again. They stock a wonderful range of cheese, hams, sandwich fillers and make their own bread and pastries on site. Of course they also stock day to day groceries and wonderful nibbles. The owners will also cater for parties. Thankfully their change of licence means they can now also sell alcohol again. We are very lucky to have them in the village; it is always service with a smile.

Una visita a Elie nunca fue completa sin una visita a la Elie Deli. Café y cruasanes siempre eran un favorito y un panecillo recién hecho para llevar para el almuerzo. Esperamos que pueda conseguir nuevas instalaciones en marcha lo antes posible y reconstruir para el futuro. Elie no sería el mismo sin la delicatessen.

Elie doesn't have anywhere other than the Deli when you run out of essentials and so the owners are cashing in, especially in the busy holiday months; hard to blame them for that attitude but the rudeness of the staff can be as eye-watering as the prices of some basic items.

We sat in the window seats and had minestrone soup and a ham and cheese baguette. Service was friendly and efficient and food was delicious and fresh. Highly recommend this deli after beach visit.

If you had a bank loan you'd be ok to shop here, it'd not a shop for your local average Joe! Then again why would you want to shop there when the female owner is rude obnoxious arrogant need I go on.

Situated on the High Street, easy parking and access. Cramped eating area squeezed amongst the groceries.

A super place with a wide range of products. Great cheeses and home made treats. We come to Elie every year and do not shop anywhere else. As well as all the lovely deli food it also has all your grocery essentials and a really good stock of wine. The deli also does freshly made sandwiches and hot takeaway pastries. Lovely owners and friendly staff make the experience perfect.

Fab deli but some things are so expensive. Staff need to look out for people waiting to be served. Buy your alcohol before you get to Elie as its way over priced here.

Excellent rolls filled to order: plenty of butter, tasty rosemary-roast ham, and reasonable price. There was a good range of cheeses, pates, and quiches.

Went here for a takeaway sandwich because they make to order. Tasty baguette and very nice cooked meat but I wouldn't recommend the coleslaw which I was told was made in-house.....it was horrible.....nice friendly service from the very tall young man who seemed to be in training.

Friendly and helpful staff with nice, varied choice of food and products. Great place to grab a snack or sandwich and walk around town. I would definitely recommend it.

you want it they got it. happy staff, helpful staff and the best croissants this side of the channel. with bonus extras like posh crisps that make you feel fancy.local soft fruit , great cold meat counter, sandwiches made up for you if you forget your picnic, pizza on a saturday if the fish van's not your bag!

We rented a house directly opposite the Deli. Great to have across the road and stocked with all you need. Great staff who were incredibly friendly.

The selection was poor, it is small and cramped and not cheap, but that doesn't matter if a deli is good and this one isn't. busy because there is no competition. The town is dead.

This deli has an amazing selection of cheeses, breads, freshly prepared snacks, fine foods, baking, jars and cans of select produce, some fresh fruit and veg., small seated area with excellent coffee etc, and efficient, helpful staffNot cheap but most excellent. Go, buy, enjoy!

Go and have their fresh made ice cream cones. Delicious. Courteous staff, helpful and well stocked shop if you are renting holiday property in this area. Would recommend.

We went in for an espresso and came out with sandwiches and other......... What deli have you been in lately that serves Jarlsberg cheese and forest ham sandwiches on baguettes? They also have a selection of groceries for the house. We were off to play golf at the Golf House Club course in Elie and thought to have a shot of java to help take the bite of the crisp breeze coming across the bay (hahaha)...We stopped at the Elie Deli and were delighted to find a shop that is filled with things that suited our tastes. Not much more to say...we had our cafés together with delicious handmade short bread cubes and took our sandwiches with us to the course. Bet you know the rest.............

Popped in for a few bits and pieces on sat, the sun blushed tomatoes are delicious :)The freshly baked bread is great for those impromptu picnics!And the cake selection is far too tempting

After a short trip we stopped off here, bought some filled rolls, the ham was to die for! The shop is well stocked and the staff lovely, well worth a stop.

Quite a good range of groceries, the cheese and cold meat counter offers a decent selection. Fruit and veg in season is from local suppliers. Drink also stocked.

Loved everything we bought, Ardennes pate superb, banana and maple loaf very delicious, fruit and veg so fresh, bought something there every day of our holiday. Amazing food. excellent customer service, a treasure!

Good for basics and a few of the luxuries of life. It is not a deli in the sense that you would expect in a major city but it does what it does well. Staff very friendly and helpful.
