Visited the sister cafe in Broughty Ferry. Really enjoyed the Brownie, which was one of the best I've tasted. The coffee was very good too. We had the Four Seasons blend, which I think is the house blend. We will be back, and will try the Brechin Cafe the next time we are there.

Warm, friendly service and amazing homemade cake served in beautiful woodland setting. We sat outside with our dog but owner invited us in but chose to sit outside at the picnic tables overlooking the pretty pond and our coffee and cake was brought out to us.

Excellent cafe. 2 Coffees and 2 bacon rolls for just over £8. The coffees and rolls were great quality. Well worth a visit if the need arises.

Having been in Brechin with my young son for a football match, we were struggling to find somewhere suitable to eat. Our hotel refused to open their kitchen as it wasn’t busy, so we had to go out and look for somewhere. We found the Auld Bakehouse just by wandering around. We asked if they had a table and they gave us the last one up by the stairs. We both had steak pie, chips and veggies. The food was lovely, and the portions generous. Only out done by the wonderful service. Next time I am in Brechin this will be my first choice, super experience. Very grateful that they let us squeeze in. I believe the place is BYOB but being with my wee boy I wasn’t drinking. Coffee was lovely!

Had Afternoon Tea at Airlie House recently for a friend's 50th birthday (private event). This place is amazing. Could not fault it. Kathleen, our host for the day, was so warm and welcoming and could not do enough for us. The food was all homemade and tasted lovely. There was so much we could not eat it all. The dining room in which we ate was so tastefully decorated for the occasion. Before we ate we were given a tour of the house with a resume of its history. I will definitely be visiting again.

Lovely country pub. We were going to book this for dinner but booked sister restaurant Armstrongs for high tea instead. Anyway came across the pub when out for a run and stopped for a light lunch. I had the soup which was very good. My wife had a chicken goujon starter which was also very good. The soup was moderately priced but chicken was expensive I thought at £9.50 just for some chicken strips with a dip but it was very good. This is a lovely country pub. It is fairly expensive but I knew that. Not an everyday place to eat but great for a special occassion.

The view from the dining room was lovely and the staff were super friendly and welcoming, unfortunately, the food was not great. The lasagne tasted like a poor-quality frozen ready meal and the mac 'n' cheese was not very nice. The chips were good, though. Unfortunately, for several days afterwards I had an upset stomach. Apparently, due to staff shortages, their menu was reduced and maybe they didn't have the qualified staff who usually prepare the food. Maybe we were just unfortunate and did not sample their food at its best.

Stopped in for lunch on a recommendation. Really nice atmosphere, clean and well attentive staff. Tables are well spaced so you don't feel you are rating on top of other tables. Varied lunch menu and a great selection of cakes. Food was lovely and good value, definitely be back here.

What a lovely place, nice menu and a waitress not too busy to make sure that you had all you needed. My cousin is a celiac, so we have to be selective in our eateries, these guys catered for her with a great choice of meals down to the puddings. Very busy and having to turn folk away or ask them to wait.. Toilets clean and sweet smelling too👍👍👍
