Husband and I had a lovely lunch today. Food and service excellent. It was our first time visiting but won't be out last. Waitress was so accommodating. Would certainly recommend

Friday night takeaway with the family. First time using dirty dogs. Excellent service. Friendly staff. Great quality produce being used. Excellent value for money. Highly recommend and I WILL be back!!!

Waitress greeted us as if we'd trailed in dog dirt on our shoes. 'Sit anywhere' face of thunder demanded with a dismissive flick of her wrist. Then off she thumped through the swing doors to the kitchen. 'That's anither two in' she barked. That was when we decided to depart. Avoid this place, the welcome is atrocious.

Review for Newington Road branch - Pretty disappointed with our visit here. Was deperate for a good Thai meal. It wasn't very Thai. My wife and I both ordered max chilli heat dishes and they weren't even close, my mum thinks a Korma is spicy and she wouldn't have had trouble eating these. No finesse or fragrance as you'd expect with Thai food, low attention to detail, slapped on plate. My dish was very heavy and greasy and my wifes very sweet. What I can't get away from is that it was like a Chinese takeaway doing a Thai Restaurant. Gutted to be honest.

We visited on Sunday evening for a special occasion having not visited for a very long time. We were pleased to find the Hotel fairly busy with downstairs dining room / lounge full with what was probably a large group. We were slightly early so we went in the bar for a drink, it was friendly and we were served efficiently. The Dining Room itself is upstairs which might put the less able off but I believe the same menu would be available in the downstairs lounge if you asked for it. The ambiance of the Arches Restaurant is pleasant, itâs all a little old fashioned but itâs in character with the building, the Restaurant was about half full. The service was good, friendly, efficient, the food was lovely and reasonably priced. We will definitely be returning soon, recommend.

Very good oat milk latte and regular hot chocolate served with a smile, so good we went back for a second one! đ very reasonable prices!

Both my husband and I visited here last weekend for the first time for breakfast - we both got the almost croissant and he got a coffee. The pastry was really good - texture and flavour was amazing. Lots of seating both indoors and out. Would definitely recommend!

I loved this place as Cactus Coffee. Now as Snax Bake House it's not the same - breakfast rolls are as cheap and nasty snax next door. Bring back the individuality that Cactus and the spudnik roll etc had please

We came upon this wee cafe as we wandered along Byres Road. Not many tables but an enjoyable cuppa watching the hustle and bustle of a busy street and pavement. The cafe is part of of a Waterstones Book Shop and only boasts a few tables plus limited seating outside. There was not a huge range of snacking options but service was quick and friendly, prices were reasonable and we enjoyed our visit. Only negative, a 'shoogly table' but this a fairly common feature wherever you go

Not a tea room. Just a basic cafe. Coffee was awful. Tea served in a mug. Cakes under glass domes looked like they'd been there for a week. Shabby decor. Service mediocre
