Friday night takeaway with the family. First time using dirty dogs. Excellent service. Friendly staff. Great quality produce being used. Excellent value for money. Highly recommend and I WILL be back!!!

Dirty Dogs is an absolute gem! Don't let the exterior fool you – the food here is simply incredible. We tried the New Yorker beef burger and the Dirty Bird chicken burger, both cooked fresh right in front of us, and they were bursting with flavor. The taste was out of this world! I highly recommend this place for anyone who craves delicious, mouthwatering burgers. Don't miss out on this hidden treasure!

During a break in Scotland we where recommended this American smokehouse and saw good reviews so set off for what we thought from the menu and photos would be a good takeaway

Amazing service... they were just closing but made room for us ... the burgers were just brilliant and service above and beyond.. my little old banger decided to play up.. the lovely lads push started us .. true gentleman!! Thank you both...be back very soon thank you

I do not normally write reviews for food places, but I am compelled to write one for Dirty Dogs American Smokehouse as the experience was so memorable. We stopped by on the way back to Devon to investigate, as I had seen it several times before and was curious to see an American Smokehouse in this part of Scotland. Wow, am I glad I did! We met the friendly owner / chef and his assistant, and had a good chat with them while he prepared our food in between answering a steady stream of telephone orders. There's a great selection of American classics to be had on the menu, with premium dogs, steak and chicken burgers, burritos and lots of others. All food was prepared fresh in front of us, and the portions were huge. I had the Dirty Yank burger, which comes with loads of BBQ pulled pork on top of a thick, juicy Aberdeen Angus steak burger. It also contained the usual staples such as cheese, bacon and salad as well as House Sauce (tastes a bit like Subway's South West sauce - very nice!) and BBQ sauce. A 'meal deal' which adds large portion of chips and a 500ml bottle to drink for an extra £2 was an unexpected bonus. I cannot accurately describe the amazing taste of my burger, so I will simply use and agree wholeheartedly with the words my wife spoke after finishing hers (she also had a Yank burger) - 'This is the best burger I have ever tasted in my life'. My son would also agree. I am gutted that I live so far away from Dirty Dogs - but then again, perhaps that's best for my waistline as I'd be there whenever they were open!

Massive portions, best ingredients, full on flavour. Highly recommended. Burritos are our go to satisfying take away.

This is a small carry out which looks totally missable from the outside but don't be fooled. The burgers are freshly cooked and are seriously good. The staff are friendly and there's obviously tons of repeat business, which is well deserved.

Oh my their burritos. Wife and I shared one burrito. So big, we were stuffed. Delicious and affordable. The best range of ‘slow food fast’ for miles around.

I first went here after loads of recommendations. The burgers are amazing. I don't go too often as I don't imagine it can be too healthy but for an occasional takeaway treat, there is nowhere better. Not tried any of the breakfast menu yet as I am never passing at the right time but I will make a special trip up one morning. If the breakfast is as good as the burgers, I will be delighted.

Popped in here for some lunch. It's a takeaway, and a tight squeeze! Doesn't look like much, but the burgers we got were some of the best we've had. Prepared fresh in front of you on the grill. Lots of choice. Guys that own the place were super friendly. Chatted away to them while making our food. Great prices. The burgers were superb. Enjoyed every last bite! Will deffo be going again.

I spotted this place on the way back from a meeting in Livingston & decided to grab a burger on the way home. Doesn't look much from the outside, but they have an interesting menu & they have a real passion to produce quality burgers, dogs & the like. My burger was juicy, freshly cooked, with the cheese & onions cooked on the grill, like you would see in the States. Really enjoyable lunch & will definitely return if I am in the area.

I am very lucky to live close by to this gem of fast food. Incredibly extensive menu and fresh, fresh, fresh tasty food. Very flexible in creating what you want. Always busy but no queues as staff are very FAST but quality is NEVER comprised. Whatever your heart desires can be had here. Very clean and great food...burgers, dogs, filled rolls, chips, salad, sausages etc etc....all cooked to your requirements. Amazing pancake enormous breakfast with REAL maple syrup, eggs,bacon drinks, ice cream, and sweet treats. This is takeaway at it's best, bench seating for waiting. It is a small establishment, however, I am sure wheelchair users will be accommodated. You can't miss it, the aroma MAKES you stop! Yum yum!!!!

I don't normally like burgers but one visit here has convinced me it's because everything else I have tasted is rubbish! The burgers in Dirty Dogs are what burgers should taste like and I am now very much a burger convert and plan to make this place a regular stop. Also grabbed a hot dog and the chilli and macaroni topping was brilliant. Added to this the chap that served us was friendly and knew his stuff - talked us through previous menu items and what the place is all about. Absolutely recommended!

I've been to DDs a few times now and been blown away every time! The 2 chaps that run it (father & son I think) always remember me when I come in and make me feel welcome. In the past I've had their fantastic chicken burgers, but today I chose the pulled pork dog. They really do take their time to produce amazing food. The bun was perfectly soft, the hotdog charred on the outside for maximum flavour and the pulled pork was bang on!! All in all, it was hot, succulent, meaty and extremely tasty!! Don't drive past this place and make sure you're hungry when you go. It's top notch!

Fantastic buy. We had far too many side dishes, chips, jalapeños & mozzarella stick. For three. Great food and great service. Will be back! More franchises required.

Oído un montón de cosas buenas sobre perros sucios, y siendo un poco entendido burger sólo tenía que probarlo. Elegí la grasa Yank y no me decepcionó, esta hamburguesa puede estar hombro con hombro con la mejor del Norte y producir, he probado un montón del estanque. Sinceramente, no puedo esperar a probar más de su menú, pero qué escoger? Otra hamburguesa? Un burrito? O incluso el desayuno? ¿Quién sabe? Pero sea lo que sea, estoy bastante seguro de que va a ser fantástico.

Absolutely love this place, best burgers and pulled pork. I love the spicy chips! Would go here every day if my waistline would allow!

Whether you go here for breakfast or go at night for dinner you won't be disappointed the burgers are amazing and they have equis ice cream as well,it doesn't look like much from the outside but it's well worth a visit

Top notch 100% beef 6oz burgers. Added bonus of Equis ice-cream, the best about. Loads of toppings available(pulled pork, cheese, bacon, jalapeños etc) For a takeaway in such a small place there's always somebody in ordering food, which says a lot.

Located actually in Rigside about 20 minutes drive from Lanark. This cafe serves good food fast. On the roadside if passing

Pulled pork burrito (with extra jalapenos) and a superb milkshake. Been quite a few times and I'm never disappointed. Worth the trip every time :-)
