My local. Not a bad 'spoons and the breakfasts are always good. They seem to have lost the ultra-angry cook, who would get audibly annoyed if you made any special requests with the food, which was always hilarious.

Great pub and staff. Great prices. Would recommend.

Staff are not the happiest people

If you spill a drink through no fault of your own they will call you drunk. Hahah after my first drink I request too more walked to my table went to drink it slipped on the wet floor drop it stood back up. ( thought to myself wow close call I am ok good). Later went for another drink too I was too drunk after 2 ciders wow, just because I dropped and fell on your wet floor it’s my fault. No not at all clear your own floors and futher more make sure if someone accidentally drops a drink it’s not the end of the world wow get a grip.

Very clean, bright and friendly.

Usual Wetherspoon pub with the usual Wetherspoon fayre. Food was nice ( Full Scottish Breakfast). Spacious inside. You know what to expect with Wetherspoon pubs, I like them. The bar person was really nice and helped us with advice on the local area 👍

I liked it. It's on the end of a long row of retail units, and the whole of the right hand side is a series of glass walls, so it gets plenty of light. The staff were very pleasant, (Spoons staff usually are), and I was able to have coffee and wake up. I considered breakfast, but wasn't hungry at the time. Beyond the lovely long window, it had the usual Spoons features, carpet, interesting features on the walls depicting local historical features.

Good Wetherspoon in Rutherglen. Cheap and cheerful. Was busy.

My friend had all day brunch which she said was OK but nothing special I had scampi chips n mushy peas however think the mushy peas just came straight from tin or tub as they weren't heated which is odd why would you serve the rest of the food hot and not the peas

This Wetherspoons is a little more upmarket.A long restaurant with very pleasant decor.Two full breakfasts of good quality came in at under £12.The chain is most certainly always good value for money. This deal included toast and tea or coffee with refills.Only complaint is the usual much joked about toilet arrangements. I unfortunately suffer from osteoarthritis in both knees. Stairs have become the enemy Like all other wetherspoons this one is no different.A large flight of stairs is involved.God help the aged and like me, infirm. 😱😡 Its no joke. Back for a convenient visit after nearby museum trip. This time decided to have a change and plumped for. Steak and Kidney Pudding with Mash,peas and gravy.Very tasty.😊17/3/24.Two big breakfasts were the order of the day. Excellent value. 25/8/24. An unchanging environment.The formula works so why change it. Haddock and chips was great quality and very enjoyable. Unfortunately, the cheaper prices attract undesirables of which there were a few tonight. Not to disastrous proportions,just noisily annoying.😡 Still best value for breakfasts.

Went for breakfast and the service was atrocious. The fruit was missing from the pancakes and we had to wait 15mins for it to arrive. This was a good place at one time, but has went down hill the past few times I’ve visited. I think there was not enough staff on the morning we visited. Would not recommend the breakfast.

First time in this place , only had coffees the staff were really friendly and couldn't do enough, which was really good 👍

Food was out quickly. Too quickly. Got the classic beef burger. The patty was ridiculously thin and I’m not convinced it was actually beef. The salad on the burger was clearly off too. Usual rubbish chips. Thankfully my pint was good. But don’t eat here is what I would advise.

Great Pub. It's a pity that this network does not exist in Poland. I highly recommend it to every traveler. It's nice to relax sometimes with a beer and good food.

Decent food, most of the staff are friendly and helpful. Only mega downside is the smell of the disabled toilets which you've to walk by to the back seats/outdoor area. Its also next to where staff take food and cutlery from

Not quite as good as the one in Cambuslang but decent nonetheless. Service was quick, and food was presented well. Nice range of real ales. Had to move table due to children not being allowed to sit in a particular area, but this wasn't clearly marked. Moved to an area where the language used wasn't the best. Security on the door. Usual quality items that you would expect in spoons. Although one of the chairs at table number 13 is due to retire shortly.

Had dinner on a Tuesday night. Told our options weren't able to be served?? Chose something else, chips were dry and cold. Wouldn't return

We visited the Rutherglen branch of this JD Wetherspoon owned restaurant and were pleasantly surprised to see quite a few vegetarian dishes. The Burrito bowl was divine - packed with tons of veggies, beans, greens. The five bean chili & rice was pretty interesting too. Definitely a big thumbs up for this restaurant !

I've moved to Hamilton and this is still where I go as my "Local"

Be sure to hold onto your pints when they get low and you have a few mouthfuls left because the staff will take them away without asking

Been going to wetherspoons since day one but got a gourmet sirloin steak not very tender ate half 3 strips left and a blob of half chewed left on the plate my jaws were aching went especially for the tues steak night, asked for a replacement steak couldn't get a replacement steak told its the same cut of meat it will be the same as the one l got does that mean every steak will be unedible, l said what if l got a medium wine or a £1.99 beer in its place..was offered chicken stripes or a sweet had a glass of wine especially along with my steak .had a duff steak before at wetherspoons in oban a few years ago waitress seen me having trouble cutting and chewing a steak everything OK she says; ma steaks a bit chuch, no problem got a new one the chef was hanging out the serving hatch asking if it was OK gave him the Thumbs up spent 5 days eating and drinking there when on holiday xlent a thought that would happen in this case so kept half ma wine to go with ma steak, expecting sorry about that sir we'll make you a new one, to get that response scunnered us, went to tesco bottle of merlot home to some mince l made earlier 1st time l had been out for nearly 5 weeks due to a chest infection that's going around fry my own next time.

Love the 3 small plates, love the January sale on it as well 😂 Those wee pizzas are great. Four drinks (2 of them doubles), 3 shots, 2 pizzas, 1 bowl of chips - £32. It was a great stop off on our pub crawl.

Disappointed that it's not possible to book a table for a family meal at a weekend. Was unable to reserve a table for a Sunday.

I think the bar is often understaffed so service can suffer .

Went in and ordered 2 gourmet Caledonian burgers, which should include 2 patties on each burger, unfortunately ours only came with 1 patty on each burger, which would explain how pathetic in size the "gourmet" burgers looked. The buns were also practically cremated, once we confronted the staff member about the burger deficiency , he clearly knew they only had 1 burger and offered to get us 2 cooked pattys to put on our already half eaten childrens meals, needless to say we weren't happy, so one of the managers suggested we can have 2 free deserts, but unfortunately we did not have time and confidence that the chef could muster up 2 puddings sufficiently. Was the worst experience i have ever had in a Wetherspoons pub. No refund was offered on basis we have half eaten the meals. WONT BE BACK.

I really enjoyed the fish and chips. The burrito salad bowl was lovely too.

Food was ok I guess, could have been better. Tables by the window seemed to be occupied by older men drinking pints, no food on their tables for over an hour so they must have been using the place just as a bar. I had to use the disabled toilet and it was disgusting to say the least! It's meant to be controlled with a Radar key but it was kept open so everyone was using it, probably couldn't be bothered climbing the stairs to go to the toilet!It was dirty from the walls, doors and floors, the smell was stomach churning, there was questionable fluid all over the floor and as well as me being disabled, it wasn't easy transferring myself from my chair to the toilet all the while trying not to let my trouser bottom touch the floor. The toilet cleaning chart was the cleanest thing in there, it hadn't been touched, no times, no signatures, nothing and we visited at around 5pm so it should have been half complete by then.

Food is extremely bland. If they had less on the menu, maybe they could concentrate on quality.

Cheap and Cheerful food and Drink. Food is nothing special but decent pub fare and their lager is cheaper than any I've found in Glasgow. Non drinking partner paid £1 for a filter coffee, they give you the cup and you help yourself to refills...super value.

Visited this bar/restaurant for a works colleagues retirement get together,if you have been in a wetherspoons establishment then you will know what to expect from your visit. On arrival we saw that the decor and seating area were clean and relaxing to look at,we chose a seat at the far end of the pub next to doors that led out to the beer garden/smoking area.this was pleasant as due to the time of year it was warm,sitting here during winter I'm not so sure as when people are going out for a quick cigarette it could become chilly. The atmosphere was very relaxing throughout,it has no music being played,so is ideal for family or friends to sit,chat and have a few refreshments. Also plenty of staff behind bar so no long wait to be served.staff were nice and friendly. This place also served food from chosen menu,we saw some couples and families having lunch,and all looked like satisfied eaters. Food and Beveridge prices were good(actually very cheap)considering todays costs. 1 observation and by all means not a complaint,was that the toilets were situated up 2 flights of stairs,something to think about if you are going to over indulge in a few chardonnays.i would happily recommend coming here,nice environment for family,friends and in our case workmates. We all left with Joe hobbling off happily into the sunset.👍👍👍🙂🙂

Just nipped in for a pint and it was great

Rudest, most aggressive and confrontational manageress ever. Visit An Ruadh-Ghleann almost every Saturday for breakfast with our son, my wife and I are 63 and 65 respectively. Son always asks for a roll instead of toast with Scottish breakfast, this morning manageress told him he'd have to pay extra. When he said that he always had this free, manageress dismissed him, then told cook through the pass that he'd been trying to tell her how to do her job. When our son returned to table and told us, and I looked over at her, she shouted at me from behind the bar "do you have a problem"! When I said I'd like to discuss what happened at our table, she again shouted from behind the bar "come over here if you have a problem"! Very aggressive, very rude, very confrontational, escalated what wasn't even a problem as our son had said it's okay, he'd just stick with the toast. I know you're short of staff but this was appalling behaviour. When my wife asked for her name, she told her she wasn't getting it! Hopefully the in-house CCTV & audio boasted of will reveal what truly happened. Manageress's should know that customers too have the right to be served without being verbally abused.

Come here qyite a lot but after getting our order wrong on numerous occasions we dont come in much! We came at the weekend and ordered steak really well done and when it came it was dripping with blood so I asked for thrm to put it back on to cool but they made me a fresh one. As the waitress brought over my steak she made a rude remark it had to be me didnt it!! How unprofessional can someone be working in customer service, I just ignored her! We gave it 1 last chance amd came back today and ordered a 3oz American cheeseburger and added on maple cured bacon which came to my table without cheese and the bacon was cold out the fridge they dont even heat it up a bit like the weaterspoons in town do! I took it back and the cool just took it off me and threw on some Kraft cheese slices I asked him could he heat up the bacon a bit I was told no and told the Kraft cheese slices was american cheese so I wont be coming back anytime soon! Go to picture house across the roas or dr gormans around the corner.

Quick service, decent pub grub at decent prices. Ideal place to have a bite and a pint before walking down to Hampden to see the mighty Scots win.

Wouldn’t even give a 1 star... service tonight was shocking. One little miss lady with pink eye shadow started abusing me and my friends about who was and who was not sitting... reported to the manager with the name lee something, useless. Spoke to another manager who had more idea of the restaurant and what was going on. We got cheeky faces off the person we complained about, thinking she was top notch and actually wasn’t. We even sat saying how good the bar staff were to the managers to then get refused drinks at the bar. Managers are useless and are pretty thick. I’m very annoyed about the service we’ve received and will be going further with the situation

Quiet in morning, can have a peaceful breakfast for either £2 or £3 and can have limitless refills of hot drinks for a £1 for a cup at the counter. Friendly staff, service is great...food is brought to your table.

Where to begin... customer service is dead should get a staff discount since you need to walk half the restraunt to get condiments as that's not the staff that gets paids job, egg shells in my eggs, more fat on my gammon than actual gammon my mashed potoes were hard with a skin. They advertise rump steak with their mixed grill when in actual fact its frying steak so that's false advertisement. Overall you couldn't pay me to eat there again. That's not to mention all the screaming kids when ye just want a quiet Sunday lunch. Will never eat there again! Couldn't even pay me to eat there worst experience of my life!

Really good pub cheap pints N bottles of beer aswell as food N coffee or tea . A was just in for a few pints after a funeral.

In for few drinks then decided to have food Bbq chicken pizza delicious staff friendly will be back.
