The best restaurants in Scotland

Visited on Sunday! Food was delicious and the menu has lots of unique options to choose from. The team were friendly and welcoming. Thanks guys :)

Toasties. and soup. Perfect combanation every day. Doc ferrys is perfect in the ferry. for poping in and grabbing a Tosstie. sandwich soup or a coffee. Great service great people a warm welcome And a warm atmosphere. The. Beer. is the perfect pint and All the staff are top notch too so when in Broughty ferry. its got to be a visit to Doc ferry's

Such a lovely stay at The Golden Larches, Andrea and Tim looked after us so well and we loved their beautiful B&B and cafe and the only problem was it was just one night but will definitely be back again, even if it's just to have more of Andrea's amazing scones.

Went for food ... staff were more than good , had steak , was really nice all aspects of visit good and you can park in big car park directly outside the building

Can’t get more central in Melrose than the Townhouse. Convenient to all of the independent shops and starting point for walks. Parking is good both on-street and hotel carpark. A family owned hotel run with obvious pride. Smartly dressed staff, friendly and helpful. Superb breakfast (we’ll return for dinner.) Our room was spacious and stylish with a great view over the square and to the Eildon hills. Everywhere was immaculate. Can’t recommend enough.

Not really the best meal. The scallop and pork belly starter was disappointing and cold. Scallops weren’t really cooked well and pork belly was cold. Pumpkin puree and other sauce didn’t really work. I ordered the venison and it was hands down the worst I have ever had. Extremely chewy. The waiter appeared new and when I asked if there was a Pinot nois on the wine menu he simply replied ‘I don’t know’ and walked away. I wouldn’t go back.

Arigo was our Go Go Local when we lived in EK. What a friendly atmosphere and really good food. Always listen to the specials. ☺️

Lovely meal again. This restaurant never disappoints. Great food at very reasonable prices - served promptly by lovely staff. Good sized portions, lots of choices. In particular the Bistro Stir Fry with chicken & prawns was amazing! Also enjoyed was the homemade Lasagne, Chicken & Mushroom Stroganoff & massive battered haddock! Sublime Sticky toffee with lots of lovely sauce. Well worth a visit- highly recommend.

This pub is truly a cornerstone of any visit to St. Andrews. You can not beat its location, especially the small patio, and the atmosphere is so golfer-friendly I can't imagine a more golf-centric pub anywhere in the world. A good selection of beers and OK, but not the best, service. Sadly, the food was terrible. My first order, the mac and cheese, was so bad I had to return it. I then asked for the chicken baguette. It was terrible too. Sadly, the menu does not have much traditional Scottish pub fare, which is what one might expect when you are 100 yards from the Old Course.

Stayed for one night and had a very enjoyable time. The bedroom was comfortable, the bathroom looked very new with an excellent shower. Had a couple of pints and dinner in the bar area which was great. Food was really very good. Had breakfast in the restaurant area overlooking the loch. The porridge was great. Overall very friendly staff. Would be happy to stay there again.

I loved my stay here recently. The rooms were spacious and comfortable, the conservatory is fabulous for relaxing and having dinner, and the garden is pretty and peaceful. Staff were a pleasure to speak with. Thanks for a great stay.

Been coming here for a few years when passing by ... Never disappoints nice for a breakfast snack and excellent coffee too!
