Not bad , waiter didn't listen and brought pork when I had ordered the cod! However in saying that all the food ordered was simply gorgeous. Waiting staff let it down a bit.

Lovely restaurant well positioned for the Village Theatre. Food is superb and restaurant has a great ambience. The set menu provides a good choice, and I would definitely recommend it.

Went to Arigos for friends birthday was a special day. Food was lovely atmosphere great until bill arrived. Over £150 then 10% added on for service charge. Fair enough. We paid cash as requested but were not given our £6 change. It is the principle. When we asked for the change the waiter was rude and him and his colleagues started laughing and talking about us. Very rude indeed. We always tip very well and are not mean. If there hadn't been a service charge we would probably have left more. It kind of spoiled our day. Won't be back.

Top drawer food. Very tasty and how I imagine Italian to taste as if I was sitting in Italy

Great Italian food in lovely place

Service was good, drinks and food were good, presentation of the food was a little lacking, which let the meal overall down a little. The place was nice and clean, and the staff listened to what we wanted which was good. I will revisit here the next time I’m in EK.

Wow, I went here with girls from work, and I loved it. There were four of us, we all had a starter, main course two had desserts one bottle of house white and one bottle of prosecco we were £50 each which included a well deserved tip of £20. The food was amazing and all cooked to perfection. The staff were great, so attentive, friendly, and professional and were the icing on the cake of a fabulous meal. Would highly recommend Arigo for a super Italian meal, I will certainly be back.

Great service, extremely tasty food in a nice environment. We came two days in a row during our business trip and we regret to leave Glasgow as we won’t have the chance to come a third time. In a rainy week, this was the bright side.

Another great meal at Arigo! Top service, excellent food and wine. I had the whole sea bass, it was cooked to perfection and served with potatoes and veg. Hubby had calamari followed by the seafood special. I tried the calamari, the batter was as light as a feather. Highly recommended!

Great wee place, busy and consistent, food really enjoyable and the service from the waiter was professional and friendly. We just found the seating a bit awkward and cramped, but will definitely recommend overall, brilliant!

Went as a family of 5 for Sunday dinner...not impressed. Canned drinks served at room temperature, albeit with a glass of ice, so you end up with a slightly cold flat drink (they do offer draft). The menu indicated a 2 course meal plus desert for £18, when the bill arrived we were told that we had been given the wrong menu (apparently the one we were given isn't valid on a Sunday) and were asked to pay £25 for the 2 course meal plus an additional £3 for each desert. I find that totally unacceptable and suspect trading standards would too. Food was OK, waiting staff were pleasant.

Amazing restaurant. Went there for father's day. It was a set menu but I was not disappointed with the lack of choice. They catered to my young child and the staff were great throughout. The food was absolutely delicious and the cannoli was to die for.

Friday night, decided to go out for dinner with a good friend, and was able to book a table here, which is quite local to me. I think we arrived around 7, the pace was busy and quite loud, but I think that was the pre-theatre crowd and the place thinned out around 30 minutes later. The waiters were good enough to move us from our table to a booth, and I could not fault the hospitality. Between the three of us we ordered: Pizza - no complaints, well cooked and tasty (I am told) - £16ish Rib Eye steak - pretty terrivble, tough as old boots and incredubly chewey. Not worth the £27 'Thick Cut' Pork chop - it certainly was thick, sadly only 1cm thick and absolutely robbery at £24! Tasted ok. I think we had 2 desserts (ice cream and profiteroles) and 1 coffee, and 2 cokes and 2 large red wines. The bill was £120, but the quality of the meal did not warrant that. I do not think I will be returning.

Real Italian food! True Italian food in East Kilbride

Booked for 8pm on a busy Saturday night. Ordered starters that arrived prompt and main meals arrived minutes after starter dishes removed. Felt rushed and left restaurant approx 1 hour after arriving. Food was ok but nothing special, really let down by drinks not being chilled and at £3.50 for a can of warm coke was a rip off.

We come to this restaurant regularly and to be honest have never been disappointed . Last night we booked for 530pm so decided to order from the pre-theatre menu. It was absolutely beautiful , couldn't fault it. Great choice and quality of food top notch.

Arrived in time to be offered pre theatre menu, on deciding to have the 3 course had the soup starter, upon ordering mains was told there was a special main which I opted for but was not notified that this would cancel out the pre theatre and not advised at any time of the cost of the main, then offered dessert menu, which were then charged at the full price. When given the bill was surprised that the whole meal was bill separately, upon questioning bill was told that we had picked off the pre theatre menu.not happy and won't be back. Please be careful when ordering if you decide to visit Arigo

I visited Arigo today for lunch with three of my friends. The two course lunch was delicious enjoying a bottle of Rose’ between us too, followed by coffee . This is the second time this year I have been there for lunch. Hospitality and service excellent as it was on our last visit. Well done to all of the staff. Thank you. Jeanette McDowell

Great food, service and staff. Reasonably priced.

Best Italian in East K. No question. I often go there for lunch when I have time to myself and 3 courses for £15 is an absolute STEAL. They also make STRONG Long island ice teas which is always nice. Staff are friendly and give great service. Food is always delicious and they change the lunch menu every month to keep it fresh. Definitely recommend them for a light lunch if you have a day off. Cons: Sometimes the chef leaves at 2pm meaning you can get turned away at the door with no food. :( A la carte menu can be a bit pricey for what you get. Ravioli of the day is ALWAYS either beef or spinach & ricotta. Neither of which typically appeal to me. I can recall ONE time it was swordfish ravioli and I genuinely thought the entire universe was unravelling. I remember joking with the waitress about it. Fun times.

First time visit to Arigo. A great luncheon, good food, great service and a feeling I was in a real Italian restaurant. Will be back.

Smashing! I ordered 3 oysters, the langoustine special for starters, the gamberoni spinach as my main and the Mille foglie for dessert. Every single thing was delicious! Well cooker, well presented, well seasoned. The food was so good I could’ve kissed Ari the head chef. Our servers were Erin and Laura who were both excellent. The service was top notch! And I didn’t even mention that I had a limoncello spritz which was also delicious. It was incredible, start to finish! If you haven’t eaten here, you need to!

Disappointing visit – overpriced for what you get. The food was very average; £15 for a bowl of creamy pasta that was supposed to have chicken and broccoli. There were only two bits of chicken, which we questioned. The service wasn't the best; the waiter (an Italian guy with glasses) got the order wrong, even after I had double-checked with him. He then had a poor attitude thereafter and was just rude! Really would not rate this place at all unfortunately.

Great food attentive staff .Great value for money and I can recommend the house red. Find it difficult to criticise the place. The team ensured or visit was comfortable and we were never rushed not like some other restaurants in East Kilbride.

Really liked the choices on the menu. Good sized servings. There is a nice vibe when you walk in and the staff are friendly. Will use again.

Xmas lunch with my TT club. I am so impressed by the quality of my Xmas lunch. Proper restaurant and service.

Chicken was dry and overcooked. Service was slow and only one other table had customers. Towards the end of the meal a large very loud group came in and I could not even hear myself think. Will not be going back.

Very nice little restaurant in East Kilbride village. Staff is very friendly. Food first class and a nice wine list. Would recommend it for a romantic night out, whatever your age or a get together with family or good friends

Not the first time here. Keep coming back as you get a lovely warm welcome! Food is always tasty and piping hot., well done to the chefs. The waitress was fab giving advice on what gins were available. The waiter has excellent people skills, making you feel welcome while the banter flows! Makes for a most enjoyable visit! Definitely worth a visit!

Great welcome from staff, good menu choices. Excellent service, staff so friendly and helpful. Would highly recommend and intend going back. Ss someone with mobility issues, this venue is ideal. Kerbside access, no stairs or ramps.

Came for lunch with my mum & my baby and we're greeted by friendly helpful staff. Food arrived promptly and was very delicious. Profiteroles were immense. Even with a large Christmas party in it wasn't too noisy and you didn't feel ignored by staff. Would come again.

Claire and I have been quite a few times before, but it's worth updating our review. This wee gem is always great to come back to. The food is just brilliant and the service to match. It's a lovely setting, very welcoming and Gio and the guys always make you feel at home. The pasta dishes are some of the best we've ever had. Washed down with a cracking cocktail or two. Fantastico.

Having eaten at the local and deeply disappointing Torrance Hotel restaurant 3 nights earlier, our expectations of the Arigo Italian restaurant were somewhat blunted. We could NOT have been more wrong! Arigo was in a 5-star class of its own! Warm, friendly, welcoming staff in a great, cosy atmosphere. Check with your waiter/waitress for the 'Specials Of The Day'. Our waiter mentioned 'mussels'. Both big fans of seafood, that was our first treat! Served in a red wine and tomato sauce for my guest. White wine sauce for me. They were plump, delicious, beautifully seasoned and freshly cooked. On to the mains. On the waiter's recommendation, we both opted for fillet steaks. My guest's medium. Mine 'blue', a minute on each side tops. Both arrived promptly, cooked to perfection. Absolutely mouth-watering, soft to the knife and served with delicious roast potatoes! A very acceptable house wine and a very weak shandy for me, the driver. The final bill was LESS than I'd paid for a very mediocre meal in the Torrance Hotel 3 nights earlier. This restaurant is so popular amongst the locals that we couldn't get a booking between 17:00 and 20:00 even days in advance! The waiters - and waitress! - never stopped from the moment we arrived until we left. Such energy mixed with friendliness. Italian is my favourite cuisine and Arigo certainly did NOT disappoint! We'll be back!

I actually can't fault Arigo , consistently good food , friendly , efficient staff, lovely relaxed atmosphere and absolutely amazing value for money.

I unfortunately didnt have a great experience when I was in. If your invited as a guest and your not a fish fan then deffo avoid. I thought that this place would have a selection of different Italian dishes but there was mostly fish dishes. My starter was overcooked and my main (Pizza) was undercooked. Wouldnt be rushing back unfortunately.

I had a meal in here last night and it was amazing. The front of house staff Giovanni, Lauren and Roisin were brilliant. I hope I’ve got all your names right 🫣. They all worked so hard and couldn’t do enough for us, it was really appreciated. The food was amazing so big shout out the the chef/chefs and kitchen staff as well. I will definetly be back soon. Really excellent Italian food. Between the four of us we had pasta, pizza, lamb, veal, scallops and several homemade desserts. All brilliantly prepared and really tasty. The waiters were also very friendly and made it a great night for us. Thank you.

Pre- Theatre Dinner . The set pre- theatre menu was quite limited for choices and any specials were not included in the pre- theatre menu. The fish coujons were okay,but not much fish in them, chips were okay not much flavour, not worth £14.00. We had a couple of drink’s but found them expensive compared to other restaurants that we have visited. Do not think we will be rushing back.

Can be a hit or a miss here. Sometimes good Sometimes not so good. Liked the look of the early evening choices set meal. Asked for a table at 18.30 Have you reserved? No ! Because you Guys are walkins we can only give you the conservatory! Okay that's fine. Presented with the A la carte menu. Asked for the set menu ! You see cos You guys are walkins we only give you the main menu. Guess what. Us Guys walked out ! No issues at dolce vita round the corner.

This is East Kilbride best and most authentic Italian. The food is exceptional (you have to try the fish platter special). The service is great.

Food was ready bang on time and piping hot. Pizza and pasta both delicious.

Food was beyond good. We got the special that day which was a seafood platter. It was SWIMMING in this delicious butter which was perfect for the bread they put on the table. The seafood was so fresh tasting, and cooked really well. I accidentally spilled a drink and they came and cleaned it up right away and got me a fresh one. Honestly lovely people working there, and although it was quiet when we went I just got good vibes from the place.

Lauren was amazing. Served us our 3 course meal. Food was amazing and service was on point. Can't wait to come back.

Pre theatre option was 3 course for £18.00 and it was first class. I struggled to finish eating it. Lovely venue in the middle of the Village in East Kilbride. This is my second time in 6 months. Good atmosphere and the service is excellent....

We visited last night for the first time for my sons 40th. The food was amazing. The staff were fantastic especially Giovanni. Nothing was too much trouble. We were a large party and the staff managed the service perfectly. I would highly recommend a visit.

This is the third time I have been to the restaurant and just love the food. We had the three course meal for £23 which includes a glass of prosecco and a canapé. I had the bruschetta, the chicken which is served with little roast potatoes and vegetables. I then had the rum baba. It was delicious. Well presented and hot. The bottle of house procecco is approx £24. The waiters/waitresses are friendly and very attentive. The decor and atmosphere is great. Well worth the money and will definitely be back

Highley recommended. I've been here quite few times over the last couple of years . Service is great, and the menu lacks nothing. Specials are always worth looking at. We've had some excellent meals here. Price is less than GLW city centre as you'd expect.

We visited on a Saturday afternoon. We had booked on the basis of an extremely successful first visit a few weeks prior. Everything about our experience was positive. Two members of our party of three had the chateaubriand and they were overwhelmed by the quality...

Very average food. Order was missing a portion of potatoes and vegetables. We live 25 mins away so wasn’t worth going back to get the missing food.

Without doubt the best Italian in EK, the service is brilliant ,the staff are friendly but not over intrusive. The food is excellent and freshly made. We ate on a quiet Wednesday night and the place still had a good atmosphere. The waiter easily handled all the tables and spoke with all the diners. This is now our go too Italian in EK ....👌🇮🇹

Found this restaurant a couple of years ago through a friend and have been using it quite frequently and recommended it to others because it does a few dishes that most Italians don't do as most of them stick to pizza or pasta. Italian food...

Went in this afternoon to purchase two gift vouchers as we very much enjoy eating at Arigo. The waiter, who was putting glasses on tables, saw me and after collecting more glasses and putting them on other tables eventually came over. I asked for two £50 gift cards. He then stopped to take away plates from another table then, appeared with food for another table. Having been ignored for long enough I left. He then appeared in the street outside and became abusive and started shouting at me. I tried to explain that I had left because I was being ignored and he continued shouting. I left and a couple of passers by asked if everything was ok. I have eaten at Arigo a few times and the food and service have always been fantastic. I don't know what happened today, however I won't be back.

I was very disappointed. I ordered a pizza from the Christmas menu , which was soggy and thick based .I like my pizzas thin and crispy. The pizzas I buy at Liddl' s taste better. I had reserved a table for 8. When we arrived the table was not ready .Unfortunately 2 of my guests had Covid and could not manage.The waiter quickly set the table for 6 .However I still had to pay their £20 deposit . I didn't think it was good value for money, as the bill was about £210 (including a child )for 6 people and 4 adults didn't even have a dessert. I haven't recommended the restaurant to my East Kilbride friends and will not go back.

My boyfriend and I walked in and had a lovely meal. The lobster ravioli was gorgeous!!! Well curated wine list. Will definitely return when we’re next in town.
