We were there for New Years Eve. Led into dinner by the piper set the scene. Dinner was delicious. Everyone was very sociable. The team looked after us really well. Great music and dancing up to abbd after the bells. Thank you for another memorable Hogmanay!
Precioso restaurante!
In fact, we come to his place from East Renfrewshire primarily for the Kashkaval Muhammara. The taste is divine for spicy food lovers. His pastries are cooked over a wood-fired grill. I honestly recommend trying them.

To be known as a "Howffer" is a badge of honour in these parts.
This is a great pub, staff and Howffwers alike.
When it was the Market Bar, the live stocksmen men would enter by the back steps from the cattle market, and enjoy the ales of the day.
When you are enjoying your drink, imagine the live stocksmen emerging from where the gents toilet is now, drift off and think of the history, and that The Wee Howff has survived, while many pubs have gone, and many remain on life support.
Out of this world good food! The fish and chips were the nicest ever tasted, honestly never had such incredible batter!
We had a wonderful meal here this evening and thanks for the intro to Isle of Harris gin which is now a firm favourite 🍸❤️🏴🚐🙌🏽
An absolute gem, just gutted we were too late to book food for Hogmanay!

As usual Mat & girls are always so welcoming at troon. We have said before it is our favourite Costa nothing is ever a bother to them. The coffee shop is always spotless clean
We loved this campsite - the best one we stayed at on The NC500 ! The facilities were excellent & everything looked so new , spotlessly clean & warm . Beautiful pitches with stunning views all round- weather perfect & very relaxing location so could have easily stayed there for longer than one night ! Enjoyed our evening meal in The Hallandale Inn on site - clean , cosy & very welcoming . Excellent food too - had pre-booked a table as the restaurant is so popular.
This is the perfect place to sit for a coffee and a cake while waiting for family browsing the bookshops of Wigtown - or for a pit stop if you are on a bookshop marathon yourself.
The staff are friendly and helpful. The chairs and sofas are comfy. The coffee is spot on and the cakes…Oh. My. Word! I had the apple and cinnamon and my husband had the lemon and ginger. Both were so light and utterly delicious - I was told the owner bakes them all herself, and my goodness she is good at it!
