We booked our evening meal in the bar for five nights, 10th -14th February 2025. The meals were chosen from a great menu, even our dog had her tea from the doggy menu. Our meals were delicious, different meal every night, with great service from the Dave and his welcoming bar staff, sitting by the open fire.
There was a special Valentines menu on offer on Valentines night. We would definitely recommend anyone staying in Whitehills or Banff area to go and have a meal or even a relaxing drink at the Seafield Arms.
Noah nuestro servidor era increíble! Él no podría haber hecho más por nosotros. La comida era genial y con el descuento de la tarjeta de fidelidad era muy razonable. Definitivamente volveré. ¡Otro grito a Noé!
Had come highly recommended by friends but was a little disappointing, some of us ordered soup with bread and the rest of us ordered soup with half sandwich, seemed expensive for what we had when paid bill including the teas and coffees and the cake from display. A shame wasn't a bit cheaper as otherwise would consider going back when next up. The only small thing is it was quite cold and noticed quite a number of people still wearing their coats in the cafe.
The chorizo breakfast would have been good except the chorizo was burnt and the dressing from the chimichurri soaked into the toast making it soggy. On the plus side, the scrambled egg was very good and the breakfast brioche had good cheese and bacon but one didn't notice the sage. The coffee and tea were good, the latter in a proper pot.Social distancing was enforced properly.
When I’m visiting up north I always book for lunch and it never disappoints . Really good portions and a fair price with excellent service. Never been disappointed
This place is a good bit out of the way in the Royal Deeside area, but it’s well worth seeking out for a tasty breakfast or lunch.
We stopped off on a Sunday lunchtime. As usual, it was busy. But thankfully, having been here several times, we knew to book. Saw some disappointed looking people who hadn’t.
The food here is consistently great. The firm favourite for us, is there soup and panini combo. A true bargain for just under a tenner. What’s so great about it, is that the soups of the day frequently change. On this day, I had the carrot and coconut, my wife had the tomato and basil. Both were fabulous. Bursting with flavour, as we have come to expect.
My panini with tomato, pesto, and mozzarella, was delicious. My wife’s roasted vegetable and hummus one, just as tasty.
The service here is excellent. The ideal balance of friendly, efficient and knowledgeable.
It’s a fairly compact place, with space on the ground and balcony levels, as well as decent sized outdoors area, for summer days, and people with dogs.
This is a firm favourite for people in the know. But be sure to book in advance.
Ordered only at 1632 and food was not ready to collect until 1730 despite being told it would be 30mins when ordering. I was marked as order number 2 on my receipt but takeaway orders left before I got my order (which included pizza boxes) so it looks as if they prioritise takeaway over those waiting. The first order was also a lady waiting that had quite a wait as well.
Waiting area is cool temperature and there is no background music or TV to help pass the time. No staff manning the counter either for you to ask what’s taking so long for the food to come. They did apologise for the delay but nearly an hour wait is very excessive these days, especially at this time on a Tuesday.
The food we ordered was nice. However, with the kids meal they advertise that the kids get a juice (we selected apple) and a free cookie. We received neither of these with our order. We did receive a free cheesy-chips.
Parking is very limited on street although there is a council carpark around a 7min walk away.
Stayed the night cheap in price but nothing cheap about the room.Lovely smell as soon as you walked into the room.Nice clean comfortable bedding.only down was the bathroom, only a shower with a big step into and out.Good car park with barrier to get in.
Wonderful authentic restaurant
Great service and atmosphere.
Excellent menu choices. Nice wine.
Fantastic home made soup, hot and very flavourful and superb steak pizza, with proper light, perfectly cooked dough, great flavours, with fresh tomatoes and rocket and the steak was beautifully cooked fresh. I highly recommend this restaurant.
My wife and some friends went to dinner here and had a lovely relaxing time. It’s bring your own wine. It was very quiet in the restaurant on a Friday night (Peak summer season) so had little atmosphere but the place was chill and the staff were nice and friendly. Maybe some louder background music to fill the room a bit more would’ve been nicer. I think it’s quiet because of the restaurant location, but the window views looking onto the water are stunning. Decor is cute because it’s all lighthouse themed. The meal itself was delicious and had lots of options available on the chalk board menu. Our group all had empty plates and the desserts afterwards were to die for. Seriously unreal, the banoffee pie had tonnes of caramel on it and the creme brûlée was perfect!! Will definitely return.
Direct view of Necropolis! Great location, but you have to find a good parking space yourself. It takes about 10 minutes to walk directly to the center.
The rooms were nice and tastefully decorated. Beds very comfortable.
Breakfast is served in the room (yoghurt, fruit, granola, cheese, butter, fresh bread from the on-site restaurant). However, three half slices of bread for two adults was a bit small.
Highly recommended accommodation for a great few nights in Glasgow!
