Entrée 3 poissons excellente, soupe du jour également. Fish and chips battered sublime croustillant, saumon roti un peu sec. Bière blonde brassée pour ce bar excellente et Sauvignon idem. Pas de dessert car le repas à duré plus de deux heures.. service sympa mais interminable...
Excellent location and very well presented. Staff were great. We were placed at a table at the window with lovely view of Edinburgh. Unfortunately the room was so cold it ruined the whole experience. There also seemed to be a discrepancy between the menu we got and the one on the web site e.g. Butternut squash risotto
We had a great experience at TGI Friday’s Glasgow Fort. We were served by Alasdair and he really provided amazing service. It was our first time out for a meal since having our daughter 3 weeks ago, and we were a bit anxious but he made sure he provided a suitable area for us to sit and it was such a positive experience. We had ordered the unlimited sesame chicken and refill drinks, we never had to ask once for a top up or refill, he was consistently checking and making sure we had everything we required - I don’t think I have ever had such a positive experience in any other restaurant - a credit to TGIs! Thank you so much Alasdair.
Normally have a very good meal here.
Chicken liver parfait,
Halibut and side of boiled potatoes.
Biscuits and cheese to finish.
All tasted fine and well presented.
However later that night very bad gastric upset.
Alright I should have reported it on checking out but at 0410 I had other things on my mind such as getting to Edinburgh Airport to catch a flight at 0720
Stopped in here initially for just a quick drink (visiting Peebles from Edinburgh) then saw the menu and decided to stay for food! What a gorgeous place. The cod and chorizo stew was delicious, fresh fish and quality ingredients evident. My partner loved the burger and loaded fries too. We ended up taking away some of the deli goods, and returned for breakfast before heading home the following day.
Lovely friendly staff, comfortable seating area with the ambience of a stove and views across the river (depending where seated!) Would highly recommend and will visit again when in Peebles 😊
The food was lovely, couldn’t fault it!
The waiting staff really let the restaurant down, they are not interested in customer service. We had one drink all evening, staff not around to offer more drinks.
A smile on any one of them wouldn’t hurt.
We have been tonight to celebrate our mums 50th birthday. There was nothing that was too much for Donna, she made us feel like old friends. The service and food was 10/10. Thank you, again xo
Just when we thought Arran couldn’t possibly give us any more delights we came across this restaurant. Absolutely delicious food with a real flavour of Scotland, incredible value and a charming host. The perfect end to our trip.

I visited this restaurant during lunch (served from 12:00 PM to 2:30 PM) but it also open during the evening (5:00 PM to 10:30 PM). The atmosphere inside is warm and inviting, with a strong family-oriented feel. The walls, painted white with a cave-like aesthetic, give off an old-world Italian charm, which adds to the unique ambiance. There are many photos on display, which I assume are of the owners or people involved in the restaurant’s journey—a nice personal touch.
The restaurant is quite lively and bustling, making it clear that it’s a popular spot despite being slightly hidden. Given how busy it gets, I highly recommend booking a table in advance to avoid disappointment.
Now, onto the food—it was outstanding! The lunch pricing is fantastic for the portion sizes, with two courses for ≈£13 and three for ≈£15. The starters were just the right size—not too filling but a perfect prelude to the main course. My carbonara was absolutely delicious, possibly the best I’ve had in Aberdeen. The tiramisu was on the smaller side, but considering how satisfying the starter and main were, it still felt like a great way to finish the meal.
The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, regularly checking in with guests to make sure they were happy with their food. Their warm and welcoming approach really added to the overall experience.
A couple of small areas for improvement: while the restaurant is generally clean, attention to detail in hidden spots could make it even better. For instance, the radiators had noticeable dust inside, and some table covers showed slight wear and tear. However, the tables themselves were clean, and the menus were in good condition. The ladies’ restroom was modern and well-maintained, which was great to see.
Overall, I really enjoyed my visit and will definitely be returning. The atmosphere, food, and service make this a fantastic dining spot!
