The best restaurants in Scotland

Had mushroom taco with squashed avocado. There was no avocado... and no taco. Served in a soft wrap tortilla so not sure why they called it a taco.

Lovely bustling cafe by the harbour, which always has a good selection of simple fish dishes for brunch and lunch. Burgers and steaks are also available. The food is very good and the service superb. We always come for lunch when we're in Lossiemouth.

Best of the best 👌🏼 food is delicious, price is good. Fantastic ☺️

Top restaurant! Very nice atmosphere, very good service and the food is also top! In my opinion it is one of the absolute top restaurants in Ayr!!!!

This was a great find. One of the best Burgers and fries I’ve had in years. Great atmosphere and the service was fantastic. I’ll definitely be coming back.

Nos alojamos en Glasgow por unos días y nos habían recomendado este lugar, reservado hace varias semanas para un espacio de 10 am. No había comido el desayuno y llegó a tiempo para encontrar nuestra reserva se había movido a 10 . 45 am? Afortunadamente fuimos a Scran en su lugar. Este lugar parece estar en transición de propietario y claramente puede permitirse perder clientes.

Nice restaurant and nice atmosphere. My oysters didn’t seem right I ordered Whole lobster thermidor at £68. Very disappointed. It wasn’t whole. This lobster had no claws. It was dry and served on it own on a plate with a side tin of fries. No garnish to dress it up or make it look special. I didn’t complain because it would ruin the evening Wouldn’t return and wouldn’t recommend The bottle of Rioja was nice. My wife’s dish looked lovely.

Outside was packed and hot; as this great ball of fire was in the sky. We sat inside in one of the cozy booths. The staff were friendly and the food delicious. Very welcoming and chilled atmosphere. Parking is in either parking lot on either side of the buildings.

Foods excellent, really enjoyed it. I ordered the penne meatballs, the sauce was beautiful, meatballs were incredible. My partner ordered the soup and sandwich deal, thought £15 was steep, however the size and quality of the sandwich and soup showed why its worth the price, well worth it. Soup was 10/10. Service, hit and miss, were attentive, got us seated quickly, then after that it was radio silence. Probably an off day or short staffed. Highly recommend. Lastly, the lady with the lovely accent behind the deli counter was really friendly and definitely upsold us on the ice creams and brownies, definitely not complaining lol.

Go here now and again and food is always amazing and service is great and with a smile.

Be careful, the room is small and so is the lot. Otherwise good value for money

We live within walking distance of the restaurant which makes it a good option as no one needs to drive. We had family visiting from England so booked an evening meal here and had a range of items - the pasta options were excellent and our visitors loved the quality, We also had a few drinks and desserts as well as coffees. The service here is good - enough to mean there is no waiting - but not too much. The food is always served hot, well prepared and across a range of visits we have had a bad meal so it’s an excellent local option without having to go into the city or out to a Retail Park.

Amazing food as always, friendly service, owner is always welcoming and as usual out speaking to his customers. Would definitely recommend, good wee spot for lunch, reasonably priced with lunch time menu too. Definitely be back! Well done Jaffa and his team! Keep up the good work!
