Lovely fresh food, a nice menu with plenty of plant based options. I can highly recommend the strawberry and banana shake and the cheesy beanos! Delicious

Went today as part of our quest to try out all the dog friendly cafes in the West End. We ordered the black pudding and egg sandwich and a club sandwich. Both sandwiches were excellent (especially the black pudding and egg), but what impressed us most was the effort they put into the side salads. 2 sandwiches and 2 drinks came to £25 which was decent value considering the quality. Service was also very friendly. We'll definitely be back.

Very inviting place with a casual and comfortable, down to Earth(😏) atmosphere. There are lots of options on the menu; happening options that are better than the typical stuff that you'll find in most other places. I would like to give a higher score for the food, but I was unable to try any of the main options due to allergies. The staff were kind and welcoming; especially when accommodating my awkward medical/allergy needs (I felt bad for being a bother, but they were very nice about it). The waiter (Kevin?) was a one person army taking care of the steady flow of business, the kitchen staff were also working away hard (none of the kitchen staff were wearing hats which I thought was required in professional kitchens). Kitchen staff were competent and pleasant; seemed to really know their stuff👍 Coffee seemed a little weak (guess I'm just used to deeper flavours). I felt great after being here; the smoothie I had along with the staff's welcoming attitude must have done me good😊

Been eating at down to earth since 2019. Definitely my favourite place to eat. Food is always amazing and the staff have always been great with us. We are usually served by Billy and he's so lovely and always looks after us. I always reccomend this place to all of my pals! We bring our dog in from time to time too and he is well looked after too. If you've not been, you need to go!!

Lovely wee cafe that is dog friendly. The portion sizes are great(we got Buddha bowls). Nice coffee and plenty drink options. Came across this place for the first time today. My friend and I had soup and main courses, everything we chose was vegan and delicious. The coffee with oat milk was one of the best I've had. Portion sizes were very generous and prices fair. Service was excellent, we had a great visit all round, highly recommend.

New Sunday Roast was delicious, and loved the oreo cheesecake too :)

Service was terrible, front of house was rude and unwelcoming even though the café was almost empty. Got the order wrong but was audacious enough to blame it on me. I normally wouldn't have left a review just for bad service, but I was sick after eating there. Never again.

Phoned up before coming to check we could still order as it was 4:30 and they were more than accommodating. The açai bowl and pulled beef bowl was amazing. Can’t wait to come back

We stopped here for brunch today and were positively delighted by the atmosphere, the service, and the food. The woman serving us was friendly and warm, and made our wee dugs welcome. The food was delicious and we're excited to go back and try more things. One note: make sure to go when you have time for a leisurely meal. The pace is relaxed. Also, I'll be sitting on one of the chairs rather than a bench next time. The bench seating is cute, but the back cushion pushes one forward a bit, so it feel like you're sitting at an angle. I'm quite small, so I imagine this would be even more uncomfortable for a regular-sized human. All in all, very highly recommend!

The food tasted really good. It's just that the bread got really soggy. But the sausage and beans was absolutely delicious. We felt like a bit rushed to get out towards the end. Otherwise it's a great place for brunch. And the staff are friendly.

Have walked past Down to Earth for some years, but, regretfully, only popped in for first time today. Exceptionally friendly lady serving us and delicious food. *Very* gluten friendly which was fantastic for me. Can’t wait to return!

Really disappointing. We ordered two sandwiches and they never arrived. We waited over 45 minutes. Staff kept telling us 5 minutes for it to never arrive. Ended up going somewhere else. Don’t bother if you want to actually eat.

Just popped in today for a coffee but seen Carrot & Orange soup on the menu so I indulged and boy it was so good I took some home for my supper A wee coffee with lemon & raspberry vegan cake was the cherry on top . Always a delight to chat with the lassie that’s usually there working 😀.

Found this wee place after walking home from gym. Some much needing boost of protein from the vegan cheesy Beano 👊. I started off with the vegan Brioche stack which had sweet potatoe hash , avocado , vegan cheese , red pinion chutney garnished with flavoured seeet potatoe flakes I found the girl who served me very friendly and could definitely tell that the food was cooked fresh .Cant believe I’ve passed in the car and not noticed it before I’ll definitely be back twice a week after my gym .They do protien shakes too . It’s a winner for my training days twice a week in Partick Im totally stuffed from the huge portions Great wee find this morning 👌😀 Thanks to the staff and for making my day

Came for lunch today and it was great! Had the manhattan and risk it for a brisket sandwiches and the Korean beef and they were all really delicious. Cute cafe and friendly staff.

Excellent sandwich with lovely bread and filling

Small but absolutely fabulous. From decor to service to food I was more than pleasantly surprised. The decor is kitschy, vibrant and intimate all at the same time. The food was delicious. I had a Buddha bowl, a kind of salad that is really a mix of lots of small portions of foods all in one bowl eg beetroot, houmous, pickles, rice,etc.... I had mine topped with poached eggs which I was unsure of. The combo sounded hit and miss but I love poached eggs and had a craving for them so, needs must. It tasted divine. The tastes were very complimentary and delicious, individually and together. All washed down with a lovely cold cider. My only negative point would be the music that played in the background. I found it a bit too noisy and poppy/dancy - didn't suit the ambience for my kind of Sunday lunch. But it's reasonably priced and yummy.

Popped in here earlier today. We'd been before with a friend who wanted their vegan options. They have a range that suits all tastes, vegetarian, vegan and meat options. The Katsu burger with fries were recommended so I went with that and a tub of fries. It was delicious, as was the salad and the fries were honest, with their skins still on. My wife had the ham and egg salad sandwich. This, was also delicious. Service was with a smile, the staff were super friendly, the music and atmosphere were spot on. We'll definitely be visiting again!

Had a very tasty sandwich here. Fun punny sandwich names and properly filled with imaginative and tasty fillings. Good vegan, vegi and meat options available. Good value and would suit coming in a small group or as a solo traveler with a nice selection of books freely available to read.

Food was brilliant I'm gluten free and vegetarian so awkward but the options available were really good

Pros 1. Got seated quickly without a reservation. 2. Ordered fairly quickly. 3. Been here 3 years ago and loved the food and service to which I left a £10 tip as I also stayed for an hour chatting after food. 4. Food seems fresh Cons 1. An estimated 40+ min waiting on the Pina Colada shake (non alcoholic). It felt very long, and another table of 2 did walk out as they were receiving drinks, although they didn't see the waitering staff come with them, I'm guessing because of the wait. 2. The waiter accidentally sprayed disinfectant onto my leg when wiping the table next to ours. He did apologise but didn't seem happy that I asked for a napkin to wipe my leg. I hate chemicals on my skin. 3. My food came shortly after the drink came out, about 5+ mins. But my wife's took another 5 mins. 4. I asked for an additional pumpkin katsu, onto my chicken katsu, but given a sweet potato. N we did make sure to ask if it's going to be "pumpkin". 5. My chicken katsu dish was not bad, not much curry sauce to go far. The chips were over salted for sure. 6. My wife had the Korean Beef Brisket, however, it really did taste like Mexican! And aside from that, it was EXTREMELY salty. One mouth was even very strong, including how sour it was. I tell my wife to let me know these things earlier but she doesn't like confrontation and didn't say. 7. After our meal, the female waitering staff, who seemed like the manager, cleaned the table next to me and again I got sprayed by the disinfectant!! She had the cheek to say, "I don't know how I sprayed you." You sprayed me because your bottle sucks and you are spraying in my direction carelessly!!!!!! 8. And there are many flies flying around. 9. My seat padding did not seat me level too. 10. Paid GBP 35 for this experience. 11. And my chicken was overcooked too.

The food was amazing and large. I really enjoyed the soup of the day.

Have not been there. And i will never, The owner ran over a ciclist with his jeep and left him to die in ibiza. You should think about that before you go there.

What a great place! It’s definitely worth stopping in if you have a gluten intolerance, and you want great food. I felt excited for once about gluten free options on a menu. There’s something for everyone here. It’s also the best coffee I’ve had in ages. The gentleman who took care of us was exceptional as well. I just can’t say enough wonderful things about our experience today.

The menu didn't mention most egg dishes would be covered in sesame. Which is a very common allergy. Upon hearing this the waiter and manager attempted to blame the customers. Eventually re made the food. Didn't expect the waiters to get snappy.

Terrible service. Staff were extremely rude to us. No allergen advice on the menus. When this was brought up staff were extremely annoyed.

Really good simple but really nice tasting food. I love that they split a dish and I really recommend the pasta Milanese. I loved it. Shakes are also good. I think there could be a bit more variety but overall really tasty and secretly healthy. I’m definitely going back :)

Just the best place for gluten free loveliness in the West End. Coeliacs can have almost the entire menu and when does THAT ever happen! Everything they do is divine and I've never been disappointed. Thank you.x

The restaurant is good but is currently experiencing hardships. In the last couple of days, they’ve almost halved the amount of rice provided with their curry meals. The curry is a whopping one third of what it used to be. I mean to the point they’ve even removed cucumbers and salads from sandwiches and added more tuna to compensate. The list goes on, they’ve reduced salad in half from main meals and even the dressing is non existent anymore. It’s sad to see them go out like this, we hope they can overcome present difficulties!

We were just passing through Glasgow on a roadtrip and stopped to stretch our legs and have some lunch and we saw great reviews for Down to Earth so we decided to try it out. The first impression is that this place is SMALL. There are not a lot of seating options, but thankfully we were able to get a table. Their were only two waitstaff, which was more than enough for this little place, but they were both very attentive, welcoming, and helpful. We tried their shakes, and all had different meal orders. There were plenty of options for visitors on all kinds of diets. None of us were disappointed. Everything was delicious. The atmosphere was fun, well decorated, and quirky. This place definitely has it's own flair. We were very pleased with our visit! We even received directions to a nearby Ice Cream shop after our meal and were super happy for the recommendation as well!

Absolutely love the really diverse menu! Suits me as a vegan but also my friends love the various choices for meat and dairy Great prices for the west end . Certainly good to know your eating the very best in quality produce .Donna from front of house is a joy to catch up with and runs a very tight ship in quality of service , also her front of house staff are all very friendly too . First time visiting Down To Earth and I'll definitely be going back. The food was amazing, as was the atmosphere and service.

Down To Earth is a fantastic place to eat for vegans, vegetarians or meat eaters. There’s a good amount of options on the menu with about a third suitable for vegetarians and vegans. We ordered a Mushroom Toast, Penne Arrabiata, Poached Egg Buddha Bowl and a side of fries. I really enjoyed my Mushroom Toast. The toast was nicely toast, but well enough that it could still soak up some of the cream sauce. The chestnut mushrooms, combined with the truffle oil gave every bite a lovely earthy aroma. Everyone else thought their dishes were good. Overall, the service is good and there’s an inventive and varied range of dishes for veggies and meat eaters to keep coming back.

We went on a sunny day. The food, ambience and the vibe was great. The music was a bit loud. The buddha bowl is a must try, if you like to add a lot of veggies to your meal. It's definitely worth visiting multiple times.

Gorgeous little cafe for food especially if you are vegetarian. So many options to pick from I felt spoiled for choice! Great music playing made me want to stay longer, due the chilled atmosphere created by it.

Have been here before and enjoyed the atmosphere and decor and overall vibe However, staff this time were rude and difficult about the payment which was a shame Food looked very impressive and colourful but soup was extremely salty and sweetcorn was very overcooked so i was disappointed considering the price

Really lovely place I've been for lunch a few times. I am gluten intolerant and they have loads of lovely options for gluten free as well as vegan and vegetarian. The Buddha bowls are absolutely yummy and filling. It's not a very big place and can be quite packed so you might need to reserve a table.

This is the best gluten free food in the West End by a MILE. The toasties and soup are incredible and I think of the Roastie Toastie and the green soup every couple of hours most days because it`s just divine! Nearly the whole menu can be adapted to gf which is incredible and I`d be in there every day if I could. The staff are lovely too! One of those West End gems that just quietly gets on with producing amazing food at a reasonable price. Well done guys!

Really varied menu. Excellent value for money. Friendly atmosphere and happy staff. Great place to stop for brunch or lunch. Especially liked the very big pots of tea! Near the underground station for Partick so easy to get to. Will be visiting again.

* updated review from original visit , been back loads of times, the food is great. This time had a muffin with avocado, bacon and hot sauce with some eggs and a side of Peri Peri fries. It was all amazing, I like poached eggs almost raw but that's a personal preference so for most people they would be bang on. Only issue is it's a bit cold inside which I totally get, I'd rather have it as somewhere to go than y'all having a stupid heating bill right now. Still keeping 5 stars for me Definitely a go to in partick, the Buddha bowls are outstanding but everything is good. Awesome new find, going back if I can get a table (original review 2 years ago)

We visited late morning for breakfast while in the area. This place is gorgeous! Decor is fabulous and welcoming, the staff are so so lovely!! I got the cheesey beanos and my wife got the big breakfast brioche, the food was incredible. Really relaxed atmosphere with a great playlist on. We will definitely be back! Thank you

Must go in Glasgow! Nicki and Donna are a delight! The menu has so many options. The food is delicious and the service is even better. I had the chicken peri peri bowl, it’s a nice portion and the flavors were amazing! My friend and I shared the brisket fries, these are delight. Brisket is very flavorful. For my vegetarian- we also tried roastie toast it was delightful onion jam treat! I can’t wait to come back and try the rest of the menu. This is a must if your in this neighborhood!

My coffee was served in a dirty cup 2 times, I have nicely requested to change the coffee, but still again they served my coffee in a dirty cup for the second time. I will never come back here again. The worst experience ever

Normally love the food here but recently placed an order for delivery and after being pushed back for 2hrs it was then cancelled. No explanation given and wouldn’t answer the phone. Gave two stars as I actually rate the food…if you can get it that is.

First time in as it's always been too busy before but won't be our last. My husband and I both ordered sandwiches. I had brisket, my husband falafel. Both were served on thick sliced toasted bread and full of delicious, tasty filling. With a bowl of Cajun fries to share and 2 Cokes, the bill came to £20. Fantastic value and all super tasty and friendly staff. Only one small niggle, the menu on the window is too high for the vertically challenged !

This is probably my favourite restaurant now and it is entirely not the type of place I expected to find in Partick. The staff are friendly and willing to engage in chat. The service is excellent. The food is great too. There are A LOT of Vegan options. As well Gluten-Free and Dairy-Free options. The portions are a good size, the food is reasonably priced and everything on the menu has caught my eye. It's one of those rare places that I intend to work through every item on the menu. I've been trying to get some of my friends to agree to a Once-A-Week visit to this place, so that I can work through it all. It also serves alcohol too. And, while the music they play is dependant on which staff are on, it's always been enjoyable music for me.

This is my favourite place now. A real "Diamond in the Rough (of Partick)". Friendly staff, tasty food with an abundance of vegan, gluten-free and dairy-free options. Also, all the staff seem to have really great taste in music, as there's been nothing but really great songs playing at a volume loud enough to hear but not too loud that you can't chat. They also sell alcohol. I intend to work through every item on the menu, as it all sounds delicious.

Loved, loved, loved this place! What a surprise to find this absolute gem in Partick. Was fabulous. The interior is funky, the music brilliant, the staff very friendly and the food is to die for!! Finally a vegan friendly restaurant that doesn’t focus on beyond burgers and toxic processed foods, but instead they do everything themselves and make it with passion for health and wellbeing. Loved the quality of food, the place itself is very cozy and they even serve amazing alcoholic cocktails. 10/10

Just fell upon this cafe and instantly felt the friendly atmosphere. Great music and decor. We only had coffees and went back a few days later but was fully booked. I think credit goes to the young man who does so well welcoming customers and has an excellent manner

My daughter and I, both vegan, visited this spot yesterday after a recommendation from a friend. It was delightful! I have a sesame allergy, which makes my life hell when ordering vegan friendly food but there were loads of choice. The staff were smiley and lovely. The food was interesting and flavoursome. We had a fantastic meal at Down to Earth. We went for their Sunday Roast pop up with Gravy Glasgow and the food was fantastic. Amazing quality food and cocktails which were very good value for money. The staff were friendly and the atmosphere was great. We will definitely be going back to try other food on their menu as it all looked and sounded great.
