Introduced my brother in law and his wife who were visiting from Essex, to the Black Agnes.
Both were blown away with the quality of the food, and the price, so much to say he would happily come back to Scotland for the Black Agnes food.
Stayed here for one night, our standard double room was a good size, with all the amenities you would expect. Nice room actually, with a lovely big bay window, very clean and tasteful decor. Breakfast has to be preordered the night before which really wasn’t an issue for us. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom facilities were roomy and spotless. Lovely big shower head in the bathroom which blasted off the cobwebs from a night of overdoing the whisky consumption! The breakfast was fantastic! In fact, my wife said it was the best she’d ever experienced in a hotel or b&b and that is saying something. Really well run hotel, highly recommended.
Very welcoming and friendly staff, great service and amazing food. We ate in the restaurant, which was nicely decorated. There was steady flow of take away customers, many of which seemed to be local, regular customers.
My wife and I when we visit the Aberfoyle area have stopped for breakfast and lunch many times at the restaurant Macmillan's Kitchen which is attached to the well stocked garden centre, the restaurant food has always been excellent friendly pleasant staff with a great selection and variety of food when you are In this area the restaurant and Garden centre is always worth a visit.
I've just had an outstanding Vegetable Biryani. Jam packed full of veg, rice, and it was bursting with flavour. Considering I sat down at 5.30pm, on a Sunday night, the place got progressively busier, and a constant flow of take away traffic. I think Dingwall has got a gem of an Indian restaurant!
Delicious meal of steak-frites and a Saint-Émilion red wine available. Prompt and tailored service, food arrived quickly and steak was perfectly cooked.
Cash only fish and chips - got scampi, haddock and battered sausage - the chips were great! And everything else was super tasty only rating down because of cash only really nice staff
