It is a historic place, very beautiful and well located. The decor is very tasteful and it is a pet friendly hotel and the details in the hotel remind us of this. The staff is respectful and friendly. Wonderful breakfast and the restaurant is very good. My only reservation is the lack of accessibility to some spaces, especially the rooms on the upper floors, whose only access is via stairs. Despite that, it was an incredible experience! I recommend!

7 of us really enjoyed this "reimagined" indian dishes with fine scottish produce. So expect scallops roe deer lamb shanks wood pigeon etc. Vegetarian also very well catered for. Wine was good n a new bombay bicycle beer! Generous portions

Friendly efficient staff served us all up a hot tasty meal, which everyone enjoyed. This restaurant is in the centre of town, but is a hidden gem. I didn't even know it was there. Choice on the menu exceeded expectations and several different dishes were ordered. Lots of Cinese Families were eating which is always a good sign. Thoroughly enjoyed the meal. There was one sting in the tail. One of our party couldn't eat all her meal and asked for a doggy bag. Her meal was put into two plastic containers for her to take home. When we got the bill, we saw that we had been charged 30p each for the containers and 10p for the carrier bag. First time ever have I been charged for a doggy bag. Be aware......

Location and dinning rooms are all good, it has a couple of segregated areas which can accommodate small groups for more privacy. The food was generally good, although the dishes varied, but this could be down to taste rather than much else? Reasonable price for the quality, good parking, and great views over the mid west coast.

On arrival we were informed by the Manager that, “we were late”. We arrived 7 mins after the reservation time due to traffic. Not really that late… An unfriendly welcome by anyone’s standards. Had to ask for drinks a number of times during our time there, not what we expected from a restaurant of this standard. Seemed to have only a couple of staff front of house Food was ok, nothing to rave about. Place wasn’t busy. Overall, an underwhelming experience. Not on our “must do again list”.

Visited to celebrate a friend’s birthday. The setting on the shore of Loch Fyne overlooking the ruin of Castle Lachlan is stunning and we were able to enjoy a bottle of fizz outside our shepherds huts where we would be spending the night. After a late afternoon stroll to the castle ruins we were ready for our dinner. The tasting menu served in the evening is locally sourced and is probably the best I have ever tasted. We chose the wine pairing which was excellent and presented beautifully. After a great nights sleep breakfast is delivered to your accommodation and this is another delight. Cannot fault this place

After a day of touring the lochs west of the A9, we stopped at the Dallmore Inn for dinnner on the way back to our B&B. We took the fish and chips and the loin of tuna. The batter was light and not greasy at all and the tuna was perfectly cooked. The portions were hearty enough that we didn’t have any place left for derssert. Good service and correct prices.
