Great wee find on a West End of Glasgow saunter with a friend on a sunny afternoon. Nice welcome and a lovely array of cakes and fancies behind the counter. I opted for the cinnamon roll and a cappuccino. My friend had a fruit pastry and an iced coffee. I don't normally eat or finish a cake, but I devoured my cinnamon roll. The coffee had a bit of artistry on the top. My friend also really enjoyed her order. Tunes in the background were very much to my liking. There were so many other things that I want to try on future trips there. Spacious inside, even for my powerchair. Outside seating also. Great wee find.
Absolutely great. Staff down to earth, called on the off chance they had a table for food. They squeezed us in when there was a couch party there. The food was great and plenty of it. Left full and happy. Would recommend, but call and book first. Will definitely be back if in the area.
Glenmoriston Town House Hotel, 20 Ness Bank, Inverness IV2 4SF, United Kingdom, Scotland
Such a comfortable bar with leather tub chairs. Very bright and cheerful bar and views over the nearby river Ness which haa a seal.
With over 250 whisky brands, 50 gin brands and lots of local beers you should find something to try. Big decision then is a repeat or try a different one !
Only had drinks but the food looked appertaining and reasonably priced.
Attentive and frienly staff.
Unfortunately their piano sessions are only on of a weehend but can appreciate that would be another reason to stay a little lonher.
We celebrated my wife's birthday here, and it was a fantastic experience. The food was absolutely delicious - the steak was the best I've had in ages. The restaurant is beautifully decorated, and the cocktails were excellent. We’d happily return and might even consider staying at the hotel next time!

My friend and I have been to Tai Bento around 7 times best food in the Briggs, i can't see by the drunken noodles, really friendly staff and too cheap for Bishy.

Read about this shop before coming on holiday. What can I say; we were not disappointed. We bought 2 Currys (mutton bhuna and chicken jalfresi) and some bhajis which we cooked from frozen and they were all very tasty.

Unfortunately this place place sadly closed. What a loss.used to go regularly Was Fantastic authentic quality , great service Pizza, starting from the base - it is was delicious and clearly made from quality flour, rustically wood fired, sauce is worthy addition and the toppings make the pizza within top 3 (basta & baffo) in glasgow. Sorry to see you go guys and wish you every success in next chapter.
We had a tipsy afternoon tea at Christmas time which was amazing, so we returned shortly after for another afternoon tea which was also delicious.
We have one of our group requiring 'gluten free' and one is 'dairy free' which were produced with no issues, we were never led to believe it was any trouble.
The staff are friendly and helpful, the food was delicious and the newly refurbished bar area is lovely.
Highly recommend 👌
12th January was my wife's birthday, so I searched out somewhere I thought might be "special", using Tripadvisor reviews. Cairn Lodge seemed the place, but turned out to be something different from all the glowing reviews. But let me be fair. There were some good points.
The ambience of the Garden Restaurant was very pleasant, and the staff were very attentive. But the food has a serious problem.
We decided on 2 courses and 3 of us chose the belly pork. We all knew that belly potk is usually slow roasted and comes with crisp crackling and soft, tender, melt in your mouth meat. We were sadly disappointed. My wife had one mouthful and left the rest of the pork. Instead of meeting our expectations, the belly pork servings more closely answered the descriptions of Scotland's number 1 catering wholesaler, Brakes, who in their online belly pork advert to the trade, say, "Once reheated by either boiling or microwaving in the bag from frozen, remove and finish under the grill to brown the top as desired and serve..." The pork showed no sign of being roasted and then sliced on site. All the pieces were identical, suggesting factory production. All were equally tough.
The pieces of carrot and parsnip , and the roast potatoes, were tasty enough, but the near incinerated Yorkshire puddings needed to have been "reheated" for several minutes less. Presumably they came from the same stable as the pork. Around the dining room, everyone seemed to have the same bought-in offerings, all treated in the same way.
I have several observations. We are all used to this sort of food in the cheap fast-food places attached to Travelodges and the like, but Cairn Lodge presents itself as some special. Instead, you offer second-rate food at inflated prices. The meal for 4, with no wine, cost just under £160. I feel there is a certain dishonesty in what you are offering. Over-priced and second rate.
Secondly, I am very disappointed that you have apparently weaned your clientele on to this standard of food, and they actually believe it is a good standard.. I come from a background as a writer for one of the major travel companies, and I can tell you that your food is not of the quality customers are led to believe. It is second-rate, and does not belong to an hotel which promotes itself as giving quality.
Clearly we will not be back.
