The best restaurants in Scotland

We were ravenous after a boat trip, and visited the cafe. Tha cafe was spotlessly clean, the staff friendly and helpful. The menu was pretty basic, but the food was excellent. I can recommend the panini and the soup, and the other half was very happy with his bacon butty and slice of Bakewell. Good veggie options.

Ordered our food through the Jeet app, once the order was in Jeet called me and said I would have to give the driver £3.50 in cash for delivery. 1. I really use cash, so I had to scrabble about the house to find some 2. The price is the price on your app; don't go taking on 10% of our order afterwards. Thats some really shady work there. Food was okay, wasn't fantastic, wasn't horrible, just meh.

I went for dinner with a friend and was really looking forward to the meal (the reviews seemed great and so did the website and menu). We booked a slot for a la carte menu without realising that if we would like go for the “sharing experience” we should have booked a different time slot (perhaps if this could be better clarified in the website it would have been useful). We were immediately told that changing the slot was not possible as we didn’t have time. We felt rushed during our meal, and although we were finished our main courses within our 1h30 slot, we were not asked for desserts and we were just asked to finish our drinks in the hall because the table was booked for other people…so we felt rushed to pay…Unfortunately I didn’t enjoy the food as I hoped, as I was stressed with the time pressure…

Such a great little café! I had a latte and the pea, cucumber, and dill soup, light, fresh, and flavorful. My partner’s brisket toastie was also fantastic. Bonus: the café has a cute little shop inside. A highlight lunch spot on the island!

We love coming here for breakfast, lunch or just a coffee. The breakfast bowl is delicious and I think they do the best coffee in Kelso. The owners couldn't be nicer. You need to book for lunch as it's very popular.

Super dog friendly, excellent food, lovely staff. Will definitely be back to this place. Also has great cake selection. Well done Owners 👏

We had a really enjoyable breakfast here. The staff were really friendly and very accommodating of our baby and buggy. The food was delicious- glad we found this little spot.

Incredible quality of ice cream, friendly, great Italian vibe. The staff were really nice to us, they have so many unique ice cream flavours, I tried Christmas pudding and Apple and cinnamon crumble. The coffee was also good and they sell some really nice products from Italy. Will definitely be back!

Great service. The steak was great, but feijoada with steak is different. In Brazil, we have a pork dish like ribs and it was missing the vinaigrette. I think the dish would have been cheaper for the restaurant, or a Brazilian sausage would have been more faithful to the dish and better value for money for the restaurant, because steak ends up being expensive, but it was still delicious.

The ice cream was simply amazing, tasted great and had a perfect consistency. The service was also great: friendly, fast and attentive. I'd love to come back!

Small hotel but great people running it. Very friendly and welcoming. Breakfast was fantastic!

Really nice place away from the main road-quiet-. Sat outside and had the best homemade fluffy pancakes ever! Coffe is good too, staff really nice.
