Lovely cafe with plenty of choice. The food is always good quality and freshly made. Nice friendly welcome too from the staff. You might need to wait for a table but it is worth the wait.

We travel quite a distance to enjoy (usually) this cafe. Sadly today was a disappointment. We order the special … stovies, beetroot and oatcakes. Well they arrived and looked really fine but were served luke warm. Yes we could have mentioned to the server but they were ever so busy. Would we rush back probably not

Great stop for a coffee/ tea. Options for tea and scones or cakes, brunch and lunch. The food is of high quality and most of it freshly made. The menu changes its soup and quiche choices very frequently. They are always very good. There is a “special” lunch every day. The staff are attentive and friendly. The cafe is large and two sides of it are windows - so it’s light. It is situated in a large popular communal church but quite separate from the functional part of it. It is located on the western edge of Westhill and satnav useful for your first visit. Lots of parking spaces. Not to be missed if you’re in the area.

Went with a friend for lunch today. It was busy but did not have to wait too long for a table. The staff are friendly & nice. All food is made as far as I know on made on premises so fresh. Daily specials which can be quite different. Enjoyed soup & a lovely BBQ chicken spinach & chutney on a toasted sourdough bread. Afterwards tea with as they say in Aberdeen a fine piece. Relaxed atmosphere very family friendly, easy access for disabled people. Good parking facilities.

Stopped for a coffee and snack on a Friday morning. I enjoyed my bacon roll with tasty thick bacon & my husband was delighted with 2 thick slices of tasty black pudding. Both were served in fresh soft baps. Our son loved his fluffy pancake which was bigger than we expected. The coffee was strong & tasty. The toys & books to keep our son amused was an added bonus. We will certainly be back :)

I came here on Saturday at around 11:30. The cafe was fully booked as there was a lot of cyclists in having their brunch. I had a black pudding roll and a soup, and both were out-of-this-world tasty. Hat's off to the chef for making such fresh, piping hot, and tasty food. The service was also really good, with the young staff members doing their best to find us a seat when it was busy. Our bill came to around £15 for two people which was good value for money. There is a large car park outside, including two benches for outside seating with great views over to Clachnaben. Overall we had a lovely experience and we will definitely come back again soon.

I came here today for the first time... it was so good I’m planning to come back every weekend. The service was absolutely flawless. The food was delicious. We had the soup + sandwich and it was delicious. There is plenty of free parking and nice views out towards Clachnaben. The bill came to £16 which was quite pricey but probably comparable with other places nearby. The only minor issue was that we upgraded our regular sandwich to include the soup for an extra £3, but it turns out you lose the slaw/crisps with this option which was disappointing... it would be nice if you could still get the slaw/crisps even when paying to upgrade with the soup (as it looked yummy when we saw it on other people’s plates). Overall we had a great experience and we will definitely be coming back again soon.

A friend and I found this spot on the way back to Alford from Glasgow. We stopped in expecting the normal cafe style food. Boy were we wrong! We both had the unpretentious sounding ham, egg and tatties. What we got was perfectly cooked pork belly. Crispy and creamy pomme anna, a stunning apple and radish roumalade and the most delicious hollandaise foam. It was amazing. Everything on the plate married beautifully together and left us replete with forest flavours chasing around our mouths. The staff are just lovely. Welcoming and warm. And the cafe itself is a great place to kick back and relax. We can’t recommend this enough. PS. I bought my husband here two days later and he was equally impressed.

This is a beautiful pub/hotel. We had had a horrible experience the night before in a hotel down in Carlisle so to arrive in beautiful Scotland and to this absolute gem was most welcome. Our room was lovely, cosy, clean and warm. It really felt like a home from home. The owner and the staff were all so welcoming and the food tastes fabulous. We had the most generous breakfast each day and the price is such great value. Great drinks and a lovely atmosphere. We enjoyed every moment here. Highly recommended and we will absolutely come back. Thank you to you all.
