Text: Staying in the area with friends who recommended it- otherwise wouldn’t have known a restaurant at a golf club was open to non members. Place was very quiet for a Saturday night but that meant we had the best service. Bariş was attentive and humorous. The young waiting staff were professional and polite. 4 portions of sea bass were ordered and cooked to perfection, as was the chicken and peppercorn sauce and the cauliflower tikka masala. ( which was the only vegetarian option- more needed). 2 deserts ordered and the diners were very happy.( Creme brûlée was amazing… but I only managed to pinch a couple of spoonfuls)Drinks and shots also good, and everyone’s choice available. The bill too was reasonable. Overall a very satisfactory meal and I’ve already recommended it to family who live not too far away.

Had one of my parents out a run and Friday and we decided to give this place a try. Glad we did. Got a table by the window which enabled us to enjoy the best view of the beach and sea. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Had a couple of different menus to choose from, there was a choice of a starter and main for £20, with a £5 supplement for the ribeye, which I thought was great value for money. There was also another main menu, my dad was tempted by the chowder on it but ended up getting the £20 deal. We both went for the spicy soup as a starter, had a nice wee kick to it and was just the job for a wet day, for main I got the ribeye and he got the chicken smash. There wasn't anything left on our plates which tells it's own story. We only got 1 dessert between us, it was the apple and cinnamon crumble, it took a while to arrive, but that's not a complaint, as the hold up was due to the fact that it had to be baked. Again delicious. Another massive plus for me was the massive smoking area located the entire length of the side of the building overlooking the sea, with a proper roof. No tin hut or bus stop type structure. Would recommend the place to anyone.

Second visit to this restaurant this summer, and will be back again, hopefully. First time I visited I had the Roast Hake which was as good a dish as any top restaurant I’ve been to…and way less expensive! My second visit tonight I had the Louisiana Chicken which was so good and again, the chef’s on top of his game. We were a table of six, and the staff were great, welcoming and the food came to the table all together. As a BYOB they need to charge a higher corkage. Meals are way too cheap, and a 10% increase in menu prices would not be out of line.

I come to castlerock several times through out the year for a weekend break. This takeaway is always our first meal. The service is fantastic and the food is gorgeous, portion size is just right. We have always recommended it to friends and family coming down. Keep up the good work and see you in September!

Food was lovely, coffee was very good, prices were reasonable the experience was different and the little baby peafowl were faboulous. Well worth the trip from Portrush to see despite the weather being dismal. You could have a lovely forest walk afterwards so bring your walking boots/wellies dogs and have a good day out before the kids go back to school.
