Railway Diner in Coleraine

I come to castlerock several times through out the year for a weekend break. This takeaway is always our first meal. The service is fantastic and the food is gorgeous, portion size is just right. We have always recommended it to friends and family coming down. Keep up the good work and see you in September!

myself and my partner had a takeaway from here, on our way to our caravan. Both meals were the worst we have had in years. My special fried rice was bone dry, came with no sauce at all, virtually no meat but filled with carrots!! The tiny fraction of meat was hard and dry. The rice was horrible. My partner meal, chicken chow mein had almost no chicken, no onions, nothing but big gooey noddles Terrible.Both meals were binned.Would not recommend at all

We made the mistake of ordering a chicken chow mein and a special fried rice as main courses. Asked for curry sauce and gravy extra as we know these can be dry. Worst chow mein ever. Consisted of 95% fat dry noodles, about 6 pieces of chicken, no vegetables at all except for a couple of sliced carrots! Dry as a desert, no sauce. Special fried rice was similar, no vegetables and next to no meat. Exceptionally dry. The order came with no curry sauce or gravy. Would definitely not go again. Chips were OK.

We were staying at a local caravan park and decided to give The Railway Diner a try. Wow! Absolutely beautiful freshly prepared food. Great selection on the menu with all the usual Chinese dishes as well as a number of extras. The staff were very friendly, the cost was fair and the quality was excellent. We will be back!

Had two takeaways this week from here whilst we were staying in Castlerock.Must say the food didn't disappoint on either occasion, excellent food & great service, definitely recommend.Hopfully will get another takeaway from here when we are next in the area.

Lovely chinese in Castlerock .. the beef in black bean sauce was my favourite but if ordering ring in first as a long wait time we waited for 50mins which was okay as a pub just down the street

Possibly the best Char Sui Chow Mein I’ve ever had from a takeaway. You look straight into the kitchen in this small takeaway and it’s immaculately clean. The food was really tasty and well prepared. We ate on a windy seafront down at the beach but the food was hearty and warming. It’s right by Castlerock train station so well worth a little visit and bimble down to the beach.

took so long i literally could of walked to the woods, found a chicken, killed it and cooked it and ate it in time for the food in this restaurant to be ready. wouldn’t recommend and can’t say how good it is as i’m still waiting !!!!! starving !!

Five of us chose four meals with rice/chips plus spring rolls and ribs for under £35. There was an elegant sufficiency with some left over for another day. They also have a card machine. A good experience.

Food was ready at collection time and the staff were very friendly. The food was tasty and a great price! Next time we are back in the area we will definitely return!

Llegamos tarde a nuestro lugar de camping y estamos en necesidad de algo de comer. Llevábamos alrededor de dos veces y eran unos castlerock a dar cuando vimos el lugar el tren que habíamos descartado como siendo un pub. Qué encontrar. La comida era fantástica, nada como la comida del mar que esperábamos. El precio fue una gran sorpresa, podían haber cobrado mucho más y habría estado bien. El servicio era genial, muy amable y atento.

Soy un poco particular sobre comida para llevar. . Mi plato favorito, la sal y el chili de calamar, no es común. . . Pero estos chicos hacen, y lo hacen tan bien! El lugar está limpio, el propietario y el personal es amable, y la comida es deliciosa - muy recomendable!

Thought we would try take away and as we love Chinese we tried here. I got the S+S chicken balls with chips. The chicken was nice but the sauce tasted strange and chips weren't great

Vamos habitualmente a comer fuera cuando en castlerock holiday park, pero pensamos que tendríamos una llevar esta noche y fue muy agradable. Mi pareja y yo compartimos un pollo al curry y los niños tenían una hamburguesa y una tenía pollo chow mein. Teníamos 4 placas limpias después que es muy raro para nosotros así que sí nos volveremos tan lejos como china tome siempre voy me dan el ferrocarril diner 4 de 5.

Compramos cinco comidas para compartir con amigos en una noche de miércoles. El servicio era agradable y servicial y la comida deliciosa. Ocho de nosotros tuvimos mucho para comer con los cinco comidas y una porción extra de patatas fritas de camote. Costaba menos de 35 libras, que es gran valor para la zona, altamente recomendado.

He estado yendo allí durante muchos años para el ocasional comida para llevar. Situado más o menos céntrico en Castlerock es muy convenientemente ubicado a unos minutos a pie de o'neils sitio caravana. El menú también ofrece algunos platos europeos como pizza y hamburguesas de pollo que ofrece una buena variedad. En general, la comida está por encima de la media y con buena relación calidad-precio. Recomendado.

poco decepcionados cuando nunca habían oído hablar de un filete de cerdo! Tenía un plato de huevos y no reconoce como huevos! Era tan extraño, era como un cruce entre y goma espuma! Los langostinos que estaban bien ... pero no una cena estupenda!

Ring in your order and collect 10-15 minutes. Excellent range of choices at good prices. Have not been disappointed.

Pedí algo de comida fin de semana pasado para encontrar que la tostada de gambas era muy grasosa y no estaba acabado por mí o en pareja. Corte los carecía de chicos, realmente ayuda la presentación. También el arroz frito parecía ser pre-cocinados, ya que estaba seco y no muy sabroso. Las costillas estaban bien, igual que el plato principal.

La comida tiene un montón de verduras frescas que me encanta y el arroz cocinado a la perfección. He comido aquí un par de veces y no me defraudó.

Worth a try. There is a good selection of food on the menu. The chef is Chinese so you're best to go for a Chinese dish. The sweet and sour is a reliable old favorite.

Tried this chineese take out last weekend whilst staying in Castlerock. What it does like most take always, kill the hunger, however the food, both portions we ordered came with loads of chicken. The taste/flavour itself was nothing to write home about and if the truth be told I wouldn't be in a rush back. Service was really slow as we order two dishes and it took over 30 mins and there was only 3 other customers on the take out, I think it was down to the lack of chefs!My advise, travel a little further into Coleraine and get a decent meal in the Sun Do or Water Margin!!
