First time to this lively little restaurant, nice atmosphere, excellent service, we tried the house red wine - which we thought was ok, our main course we’re beautifully presented and food was delicious- highly recommend

This reasonably priced Michelin starred restaurant was outstanding. Our best meal in Belfast. The staff were very friendly & explained the dishes & the system of Tapas style small dishes that are brought to your table when they are ready. The flavours were exceptional. Can highly recommend.

We went here for brunch to kick-start a friends reunion weekend and it got us off to a great start. With excellent food and amazing service in a warm friendly atmosphere we couldn't fail to enjoy. Fabulous big pots of tea helped wash the delicious food down - soup & sandwiches, avocado & sourdough, soda bread breakfast, club sandwich - all cooked and served perfectly. Our waitress, Chelsea, was very friendly and helpful, knew her menu and is a great ambassador for the cafe. Overall a great eating experience and that's coming from a group of friends from a cross Ireland and England who met through our own hospitality working experiences.

This restaurant was spectacular the staff and service was brilliant. The food was so delicious the steak was the best I have had in forever. We had a side of caesar salad and this was the freshest and most delicious salad. The wine was so delicious and the cocktails very unique and so tasty.

Very mediocre We went here for Sunday lunch with a friend. We found it to be very over priced and the food very underwhelming. We all had the Sunday roast, the Yorkshire pudding was burnt, the gravy was a watery liquid on the plate. The food had not been seasoned, as I had to salt it twice. As for the service, it was non existent they took our order and served our food and that was the extent of the service. When we got the bill a service charge had been added on automatically, we paid in cash and there a little bit extra and the waitress did not return with our change. This was very presumptuous that we did not want our change back and therefore ended up leaving 2 tips for very poor service. The waitress seemed to disappear so we got fed up waiting and just left and decided we will not be back. Overall, a lack lustre over priced dining experience.

Unbelievable food and very accommodating staff, very pleasant and helpful. Loved every bite of the food too. Would recommend in a heartbeat and I will be back.

Had a great meal and lovely friendly staff. One of our party has a prawn allergy and the chef changed the dish to suit her.Excellent service and beautiful meal. We will definitely return.

My order was a delivery, so I have no opinion about the service or atmosphere, I'm sure they're fine. Possibly some of the worst Chinese food I’ve had. I had high hopes because it was relatively well rated on Google. But it was completely flavorless. I ordered spring rolls, fried rice, and sweet and sour chicken. The spring rolls were wrapped in filo pastry which is the wrong wrapper for egg rolls let alone spring rolls, and then they were not fried all the way, so they wound up being soggy and literally dripping with oil and also didn’t come with any sauce. The fried rice I knew was gonna be bad the second I saw it because it had no color. It had at most a splash of soy sauce. I actually wound up throwing it in a skillet with sesame oil, an egg, and soy and oyster sauce. Then it wasn’t bad. The sweet and sour chicken was the only thing that had any flavor, but even that was mediocre at best. All of this for the price of 30+ pounds is insane. Will not be ordering again.

Good food just one minor thing it’s always been good but I ordered the same thing 3 times and it’s always been prepared different

Went here on a weeknight, advised it would be 15 mins for take away, took over 50 minutes. Popped in the following Friday, again advised 15 minutes, took over 40 minutes. Very poor and will find it hard to go back. Shame as pizza is really good.

I reviewed this restaurant a few years ago after my first visit. Since then I have visited it every time I am back home in Belfast and the quality has never wavered from excellent. We went there again last night and had another exceptional evening. We arrived a little early for our reservation and asked if we could sit and have a cocktail before ordering. We were told that we had the table for the entire evening and there was no need for us to rush. Many other restaurants are keen to feed you and get you out quickly so they can turn more covers but not this one. The good was fantastic as always. Looking forward to our next Norm Iron trip next year when we will be sure to return to Bistro Este.
