Food tasty, the head waitress made us feel unwelcome from the moment we opened the door.

Amazing food, lovely servers and the atmosphere was cozy and such a positive place. Definitely be back here again :)

I was shocked with the restaurants response to serving us raw salmon. I ordered the Sunday deal - 2 courses for £35. My wife just a main - the Salmon. The starter I had was salt and chili squid. Lovely and spicy. My main the Roast Chicken was lovely too. But my wives salmon was raw. Pink and stodgy. We sent it back immediately. I took a very long time for the replacement salmon to arrive.By which time I was long finished, and then watched my wife eat her main. The waitress was ok, and asked was the replacement ok - which it was. But I expected some discount on the bill without asking. I mean who wants to pay £28 for a main, and £35 for the Sunday 2 course only to watch each other eat separate?? Asked for the bill, expecting maybe the manager to come over to offer something - no - the bill came - full price and full 10% "discretionary" charge on. Nothing offered - very disappointed - do you need to ask??

Booked for the Early Dinner Meal and left at 9pm - a sign we had such a good time. Meal choices are limited but that’s fine when they are of such quality. Ultimate steak sandwich and burgers (with chunky chips) were winners. The four of us all enjoyed the 3 courses, wine and the service.

Had the most lovely afternoon with family get food fine service

Came here with family. Chose the Christmas menu. Tasty food with big portions. Sticky toffee pudding enormous, enough for two. Limited wines by the glass. Staff good. We sat in a booth between the door and the service area, a bit chilly and felt a little bit on the periphery. The main restaurant seemed to have more atmosphere.

I'm vegetarian and find it hard to get a tasty meal at Christmas time. . I normally prefer something veggie along with my roasties, mash n veg like a Christmas feast rather than risotto, pasta , etc. It was delicious. the strudel was very nice and everything was well seasoned. Brussels were roasted with cranberry I think........will defo be back !!

This was my first time in the restaurant and it certainly won’t be my last . The service was excellent all staff were so friendly The Food was amazing super fresh and warm we had the Christmas dinner and our Daughter had her usual of the Kids Menu But something for everyone on all menus It was almost a packed house , with lots of happy Diners and staff buzzing around ensuring everyone is ok I must say a very clean and well kept place with a super atmosphere inside .

Visited here with our wider family for a birthday meal. There were 9 of us in total, lots of room, comfy chairs and food options for everyone. We went for mains and desserts only. Service was great, very attentive and friendly staff. Beautiful aesthetic, cosy lighting and very clean. Coats taken to give us more room at the table and put in their little coat storage behind the reception so nice wee touch. Our party included kids, a vegan and vegetarians and everyone was very happy with the options available. I had the brie cranberry and chestnut strudel and it was 5*! Every bite had a different flavour and I would have licked my plate if it wasn't such a nice place! Husband (the vegan) had the baked celeriac and also said it was 5*. Kids had mac and cheese which was nice but huge portion for something so samey so half was left, the other had the "mini" fish, which again was nothing mini about it but my son made short work of it! Other family had turkey and ham, chicken supreme, beef arancini and kids cheeseburger (again huge for kids portion). Everyone had sticky toffee pudding for dessert bar me, I went for strawberry and champagne sorbet which was so yummy and a nice little palette cleanser to end a lovely meal. Pricing wise we were very lucky to have a substantial gift voucher so we only had to add a few pounds, but if we had to pay I would have said it was maybe a little pricier than I would like, but for the atmosphere and standard of food was ok. I think the cheapest main we had was around £24. Kids meals were really good value at £9/£10. Drinks wise we had water for the table and then a few diet cokes (£3.90 each!but that's the same everywhere!). Would love to go back and try the non Christmas themed early bird menu as it's a good deal (2 courses for £26). We had booked an early time not realising this menu wasn't being offered and had been changed out for the Christmas menu, but all in all a really lovely meal.

This place is absolutely lovely. Food is gorgeous, service is very attentive and lovely friendly staff. My brother is in a wheelchair and they are always so accommodating. It is somewhere I often love to visit when I am in Belfast and I will be back.

Very mediocre We went here for Sunday lunch with a friend. We found it to be very over priced and the food very underwhelming. We all had the Sunday roast, the Yorkshire pudding was burnt, the gravy was a watery liquid on the plate. The food had not been seasoned, as I had to salt it twice. As for the service, it was non existent they took our order and served our food and that was the extent of the service. When we got the bill a service charge had been added on automatically, we paid in cash and there a little bit extra and the waitress did not return with our change. This was very presumptuous that we did not want our change back and therefore ended up leaving 2 tips for very poor service. The waitress seemed to disappear so we got fed up waiting and just left and decided we will not be back. Overall, a lack lustre over priced dining experience.

The food was lovely,however whenever you walk into the restaurant the whole space was quite smoky and our clothes and coats after our dinner were left with unpleasant smell. Dinner cost us 120£+so you’d expect a better ventilation system in place when you’re out for a special meal.

Steak night Wednesdays. 2 starters. 2 mains. Bottle wine.£60 for 2. Good value. Need better choice of house wine though. Also very warm in restaurant. Staff friendly and efficient. Now up to £70! Food and service still great. Don't think many people could afford this mid week. Very quiet tonight

Visiting from Barbados, dined with our friends who are regulars at The Shed … absolutely top class food, closest restaurant home to compare this too would be The Cliff, Barbados (one of the top restaurants in the world). Truly wonderful experience dining here, presentation of food was amazing, service was first class. Next visit to the UK will 100% include a trip to Belfast to dine at The Shed Bistro (and see our friends 🤪)

Absolutely fantastic, superb staff who were happy to accommodate a large group ordering a variety of starters, snacks and mains Tapas style before Belsonic. So good popped back in and was accommodated without a reservation for desserts and coffee.

I was hungry and forgot to take a picture... I ordered chicken. It was absolutely delicious. My husband ordered lamb and he liked it a lot too. The staff are very attentive and friendly. Just a complaint. They don't have Guinness... What a terrible thing.

Horrible experience, AC was off and it was very warm. Waited ages to get our starters. Served a low quality cheap sirloin steak that was prepared well done despite asking for medium rare. Will never go there again and won’t recommend that place to anyone. They just ruined our date night.

Delicious food, lovely staff with deaf-awareness, great dining spot etc. Only one thing is that they need to build up the kitchen wall or get a better and stronger air ventilation because of the smoke/steam coming out of the kitchen, affecting our sore eyes.

An overall very disappointing night after travelling here after hearing great things. Multiple steaks came overcooked The chateaubriand pails in comparison to the likes of Deane's Meatlocker and is extortionately priced at £75 for 500g. There is a £3 per person "cakeage fee" for staff to cut up a cake that you have brought to the restaurant with you and serve a chunk of ice cream that had clearly been refrozen repeatedly. First time I've ever been to a place in Belfast that enforces such an outrageous policy. The cakeage fee was also immediately announced the second that they seen the homemade cake which completely deflated the experience. At the end we tipped and one of the staff members forgot to charge one of us so WE went back and got them to pay. After we got our coats and incredibly rude manager accused us of not paying despite the amount remaining on the bill being exactly what we just paid for after they had forgotten one customer. After being accused several times of not paying the manager finally realised their mistake. Did she apologize? Absolutely not. In fairness another member of staff came to check on us afterwards to find out what happened and apologised. Atmosphere is generally good although the restaurant is quite smokey although this is to be expected. Such a shame as all the other staff members were lovely apart from the one woman.

From the moment we walked in we were looked after extremely well. My Coeliac wife had multiple strictly gluten free options available from the menu. The Shed also has a separate fryer for skinny chips and coupled with their rump steak we had a wonderful meal. All the Shed’s staff were totally clued into allergy requirements and at no time were we concerned. This was five star food, five star service and a five star experience. We will return very soon!

First time in "Shed" great buzz for a friday in Feb. Staff are so attentive and friendly, food and atmoshere superb. Especially the rump steak. Estrelle beer a bit special aswel. Wil definitely b spreading tthe work⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

We have eaten here before the early dinner menu is very good.Went on Saturday night no early dinner menu we ordered the steak sandwich. The bread was burnt and the stake was tough and £8.50 for a glass of wine come on this is the Ormeau Road.

I went to Shed Bistro on 3/12/23 with my friends for dinner. The food was amazing & staff were very friendly & helpful. They showed us to our table & we were seen to as soon as we arrived. Shed Bistro is on The Ormeau Road here in Belfast & is well worth a visit. Stephen Acton.

Really enjoyable lunch at Shed. We hadn't booked a table but staff were very accomodating. Excellent service and food was delicious. Good menu choices and didn't take long to arrive.

Met here with some old school mates. Was treated to 3 excellent course's. Hummus starter, filllet steak main, pavlova finish. Mammy makes my standard of pavlova,but this was next level sorry Mum. Hints of lemon and vanilla soo darn good. 👍

Marathon relay team met here for dinner on the Sunday of the busy bank holiday weekend. Food was fantastic, a nice spacious table was provided at the front window, staff were absolutely brilliant, and would very much recommend for Sunday lunch, or probably any meal for that matter.

The stakes were perfect, medium rare was really medium rare. Can recommend this steak restaurant to everybody

A recommendation when visiting on business, just wow! Unable to find fault with anything. I just wish the Shed Bistro was closer to home. A real hidden gem. Go visit.

Great experience tonight. The food is amazing. I had the chicken with dauphinoise and green beans. Omg it was delicious. My friend had the Lamb, served pink and to perfection. We had the apple tart, just devine. The front of house staff are lovely, accepting my out of date voucher, without question. The waiting staff are wonderful, I think we had 4, they were all great. Thanks for a great experience Shed.

Great steak night offer, very tasty and value for money

My first visit for lunch, mid week so plenty of space but still a good atmosphere and a good choices on the menu.

The food and atmosphere were great, but I found the prices a little steep. Nevertheless, this is a great spot for a relaxed lunch with good service.

Had a good food experience here,really well prepared and presented meal ,great wine pairing with food that was recommended by knowledgeable staff. Highly recommend going here for any occasion. Worth every penny .

Absolutely fabulous! From entering Shed Bistro to leaving was a wonderful experience. Host was fabulous & knew a friend's taste, and needs (very fussy). Restaurant is spotless with a well curated wine & cocktail list. Also, they have cocktails for drivers which is brilliant! Looking forward to visiting again. The dishes we ordered was executed to a very high standard. Well done Shed Bistro!

Shed Bistro never fails to provide excellent food. The food is literally out of this world - we have been many times and have never been disappointed. The service is exceptional and they treat their customers like royalty - nothing is a bother. If you haven't been to this gem of a place - you're missing out big style. Good atmosphere, great staff, but food a little pricey (IMHO).

We went on a steak night, only rump was on offer but it was cooked and rested perfectly, it was absolutely packed out, so very noisy and possibly they could do with someone looking at their extraction fans because it was almost choking.

Had such a nice time. We were able to order on the patio, no questions asked (not always the case in Belfast) and they even offered us blankets. The food (steak frittes and fish and chips) was excellent. They brought out a bottle of filtered water. Craft beer option was delicious. Overall, all the service was exceptional. If you're COVID conscious and want to eat out on a patio, this is a great option.

Service, food, drinks and atmosphere here was exceptional. Staff where wonderful. We went for Sunday lunch and will definitely be back to try the other menus and make our way through the cocktail menu.

Top quality food and staff. I always roll out of here like a bowling ball. Their sister restaurant Blank is also outstanding.

I couldn’t have found a better place to cure my past night’s debauchery. Ordered the braised beef cheeks with seasonal vege and a grainy mustard mash. Was an orgasm to my taste buds. Got the cheapest Argentinian bottle as hair of the dog. This was pleasantly crisp and refreshing and went down well. Staff were absolutely brilliant, cute and attentive. P. S: loved the looked of the chefs through the window. Especially the lady with the side cute and bling top hair. Thank you ever so much for the brilliant service. 💚

Me and my wife went to the streak night last night, we had been before lockdown and it was outstanding but I had other people telling me recently it’s not as nice and the streak was Chevy, so went last night for the streak night and it’s went down hill the chips where not nice teased like they where reheated and the streaks where Chevy not be back as don’t know what happened but it use to be better and Wednesdays use to be busy it was not busy which people aren’t going back which says it all.

We've eaten a few times and the food has consistently been delicious, with a good range of dishes. Service is also great, the waiter was so helpful and lots of fun. Recommended.

I live in New York City and have been coming to Belfast for several years. After eating here tonight, I don't know why the Shed Bistro is not listed among the best restaurants in all of the Belfast tourist guides. This place was simply outstanding. Great wine list. Superb food. Extremely professional and hospitable staff. Perfection. One of the best meals I've ever have in the nearly 7 or so years I've been coming to Belfast. If you're an American traveling to Belfast, do not leave the city without eating here!

Shed has a beautiful aesthetic. It feels classy when you walk in. Staff were helpful and showed us to our seats as soon as we arrived. Comfortable seats and it had a cosy atmosphere which was appreciated. There are so many restaurants that think they're a nightclub. The background music of other diners conversation was preferable. The food was delicious, we had bread with an olive tapenade and a sweet salsa verde which was lovely. Rabbit loin for main was tender and packed full of flavour especially when paired with the black pudding and contrasted with the risotto. A fantastic meal, the only thing that knocks it off a five star is they kind of forgot about us once we had finished but they were busy and maybe another bit of rabbit in the main.

Four adults and two children had a very very nice meal in the Bistro yesterday evening. Each adult ordered a different meal from the others and the comments from all were " excellent ". I would thoroughly recommend the Shed Bistro for an eating out experience. The menu was varied and as well as some standards there was also some more interesting options. I hope to revisit soon.

A great place with fantastic food.

My friend and I walked up the entire Ormeau road looking for a coffee on Thursday evening. Every place was closed and or closing, including Shed Bistro. But unlike the others, these guys very kindly gave us a table and served us coffee. You really cannot be bad to that .

We met up with a friend at Shed Bistro and had a great evening. The venue was lovely, the staff were very friendly, the and the food was fantastic. Highly recommended.

Excellent food, excellent service. Somewhere you could go for a big celebration or take your parents for Sunday lunch, and know that everyone will be happy. Really relaxed atmosphere. Would highly recommend.

I was there last Friday night with my two friends and we had a wonderful time. The Romanian waiter (sorry I forgot to ask your name!) looked very well after us and made our night a really fun one. The food was delicious and so was the mocktail they especially made for me. Thank you so much, we'll be back!

The food was very tasty however I caught Covid here due to the tables being ridiculously close and management letting someone cough all night without saying anything hence the 1 star.

Prawn linguine here was really good.

A lovely meal as always in Shed and waitress staff courteous and professional. Restaurant was busy and the noise of conversation from other diners took away slightly from the dining experience .

I really like Shed and have been back many times. Enjoyed an absolutely beautiful meal there this evening and thought the new menu was great. The Celeriac Wellington seemed like a bit of a risky option but it was exceptional!
