Lovely restaurant, great jazz music with live jazz band. Would highly recommend. Lovely staff. Lovely ambiance also.

A real find. Superb service from the Maitre’d and the young waiter. Food was well cooked and served. The jazz guitarist was amazing. I would go to hear him anytime.

My husband and I had lunch on Sunday. Belated birthday present from our grandson and girlfriend. Food was great as was the service by Lochlan. Throughly enjoyed it, will be back.

Love it here. This was the second time as a birthday celebration and everything was great. The food is wonderful, particularly the baked Alaska dessert - AMAZING!

Best meal we had during our stay in Belfast. Food was excellent, service was fantastic, and a great atmosphere. I would highly recommend the beef bourguignon (made like a fillet of pulled beef rather than a stew). Cocktails were great too.

If you're an old soul like me, this is a must visit. Between the live jazz music, the lighting, the decorations, and the waiters clad in suit and tie, they perfectly capture the ambience of a 1920s jazz club/speakeasy. We had two frozen Irish coffees which were delectable while taking in some wonderful, relaxing jazz. A little pricey, but well worth it.

Lovely place. We had a slightl issue with length of time to get our drinks that was superbly addressed by the manager - extremely well run place. Loved it.

Service was attentive although slow. Food was tasty but not as hot as it could have been i think it may have been sitting on the pass longer than necessary. Nice atmosphere although we were expecting more from the jazz, this may have been because we visited on a Tuesday evening.

You're losing 1 point as the music was just slightly too loud. Made it hard to talk without needing to shout. Apart from that it was great. Steak was superb.

Had a lovely date night here enjoying decadent food and live jazz. Service was very slow in the start but picked up later on. The cocktails were really good, special mention to the doctor's choice which was our favourite. Make sure to book so you won't be disappointed!

Have been to this restaurant on a number of occasions and it simply never fails to impress. Food, service & cocktails are second to none - my favourite being the Dot Parker.

Great for a wee treat, had a bottle of wine and a few nibbles. Food reasonably priced and delicious! Wine a bit pricey but as I say, nice for a wee treat.

Atmosphere so amazing, the service we had at the bar was fantastic. If your not drinking you can ask the bar to make it virgin and my cocktail was £6! So good!

Had a lovely evening here staying later for the live music. Super attentive service, lovely food and a great atmosphere. With a bottle of wine and £10 each for the entertainment expect to pay £180 for a couple so if you're on a budget maybe it's not for you. Worth the experience. Have booked another night.

We went here for the day after valentines for dinner and drinks and was such a treat! The camembert was delicious and the charcuterie board too. We were tempted by dessert and the crème brûle was good and the baked Alaska too. The wine was on the pricey side for a glass but the whole atmosphere and decor added to the experience. Glad we went and would reccomend for a special occasion. Romantic.

10/10 every time! We have been here lots of times and all experiences have been 10/10. We visited again recently for my Fiancé’s birthday, all 5 of us (including our friends from Kent over visiting) were blown away by the meal and cocktails! The staff are excellent too

Booked a sit down meal for a party of 15 spent over a thousand pound in total and the time it took to get the food was horrendous I left after 2hrs 30m after only receiving 2 of the 3 courses ordered I I couldn't be bothered waiting any longer and went home I wouldn't ever return and I would definitely advise anyone against going.

Myself and my husband were here at the weekend.the atmosphere/music/staff were lovely. The cocktails are delightful. Had a beautiful relaxing evening Will definitely be back again.

Amazing!! Just Go!! You won't regret it, loved the steak, so good and soft. The Staff were so kind, my husband has an onion allergy and they were so kind and ensured the food did not contain onions, we really appreciated that. Such a lovely experience, thanks again.

Bert’s jazz bar is located at the gorgeous Merchant Hotel in the centre of Belfast. The hotel recommended Bert’s. It did not disappoint, we only went here for drinks.We were given a table right near the front and service was as good. So we’re the cocktails. Friendly staff. From what I could see of the food being served it looked nice. The ambience was chilled. Bert’s has live jazz through the week and it was a Sunday night visit which was busy and had fabulous music so we went again Monday and Tuesday, Great jazz singers! It was an intimate, cosy and casually sophisticated setting.Perfect for us to relax after our celebratory 25th anniversary meal.Highly recommend!

We called into Bert’s Jazz bar, sat at the bar, chatted and consumed a good few glasses of red - so relaxed. We took a table for dinner, the food was top class, very good, excellent in parts. The jazz started, piano & trumpet - what a marvellous evening, memorable in fact. This was a Monday night, totally fabulous so makes me wonder what a busy night would be like!! This for us is a special place

We had a spectacular night here. The jazz quartet with vocalist were fantastic, the drinks and food selection were perfect for the setting. Service - impeccable. No hesitations in highly recommending this awesome jazz venue!

I can’t vouch for the 1930’s, but I can vouch for New York jazz club experiences, and this definitely fit the bill. There was a fantastic flugelhorn and keyboard duo playing and singing the evening we were there. We heard a few standards, including some Brazilian and Cuban songs. Great wine, great environment, all in Belfast. Who knew?

I liked it so much and staff in there were nice and lovely…Food in there is delicious I got the steak👌🏼which was yummy but the liver duck I didn’t really like 🫠sweet was good I would say if they but more cake it would be better

Took my wife here for our first date it was amazing and now we are married and we have been back a couple of times.

As a solo diner, I had a wonderful time, I felt welcomed and looked after, enjoyed beautifully made drinks and generous helping of smoked almonds before a delicious meal of a fantastic soup of the day, then a huge bowl of mussels, all whilst enjoying the sounds of the fantastic jazz band. Book ahead, it was busy and easy to see why!

Friends of ours invited us to this place for a dinner and live jazz music. Group of 5+2. It was very beautiful experience i have to say. Music was very nice companion with our dinner. Food was absolutely delicious (highly recommended) we had chateaubriand for 2 and steak was done to perfection! Staff is very friendly and attentive. They were really taking care of us. Actually, this place let us experience something different. Spoilt rotten in every sense. Highly recommended for special occasions. I hope we will be able to come back for more :)

Very relaxing and perfect service with the right amount of interaction and attention to detail. Food is delicious and good value for what it is, albeit it's not cheap, that's because it's a class above. Music is a great accompaniment to the meal and not off-putting or too loud. Great for special occasions or anniversaries.

He was very attentive and polite. All the staff were excellent. Also a special mention to how my partners onion allergy was accommodated by the staff and chef. She was totally delighted because she is aware it can be very awkward. Thanks again. A definite 5 stars.

Absolutely fantastic food and the staff were excellent. So attentive and regularly at our table to top up water etc. The arancini was incredible to start with and the chicken was so tender and fresh. Can't wait to come back!!

Started off with great service tonight at the 6 pm setting ,,then ithe service comleptely evaporated. Asked for the desert menu, waited 30 minutes and gave up and left.We got a bottle of wine to share and they stopped pouring it.The reviews are operated that we read. Don't bother with this restaurant. NO ATMOSPHERE.

What a place!!! I Lo❤️e Jazz 🎸🎶, Love a great atmosphere and live music, who doesn’t? We came across this venue by accident and thought we’d try it. We weren’t dressed up though and felt we’d get rejected initially. Well, we got the warmest welcome, ushered to our seats, provided with Beautiful cold water without even asking and then provided a top star service for drinks. I requested a cocktail that wasn’t on the menu. The waitress, bless her, did nothing but get the ingredients offline and created my cocktail for me, and boy did she do a grand job! All the staff we interacted with were fantastic! Super friendly, Professional, smart, warm, welcoming and made Berts even more attractive. We had some drinks and enjoyed the live Jazz music from the musicians. Just loved this evening to finish off our stay in Belfast. If you’re after a fantastic vibe, a date night, live music, professional friendly service with reasonably priced drinks, then look no further, in fact, put Bert’s at the top of your list and you won’t go anywhere else, I promise you. Thank you ‘Berts’ for a great evening. Have a try if ‘Madeline’ cocktail. It’s a bonus!! 💫

We had a fabulous time at Berts! The Tuesday night Jazz session with Rose , Laura, and Mateus was so enjoyable! Lots of jazz standards including Summertime, Fly me to the moon, and Route 66! Fantastic vocals and great accompaniment! I would strongly recommend this place. Plus the staff were extremely pleasant and efficient.

Out of this world. Staff, atmosphere & food fantastic. Thoroughly recommend!

Went for brunch. Precooked a table for a special event. Ordered breakfast bap. Bap hard, burnt bacon couldn't eat it and 1 small pork sausage e.g. Dennys small thin sausage. I opted for no egg.. had a dessert of rhubarb crumble and ice cream, it was lovely but a rip off at 8.95. Bap plus re fried fries was 1495. If i had have served this where i used to work people would have refused to pay for it. Nice place inside and decor but definitely not worth the money. Wouldn't go back. I was so looking forward to the experience very disappointing.

First visit after many years abroad. Great food, music, and service. Did not disappoint.

This place is nice but not somewhere to go if you are on a budget or looking a for a a good atmosphere. That's not to say we didn't have a good experience as we did, but if you are looking for a dance this isnt the place. We got some cocktails and they were lovely but expensive (£18 each) The jazz music was in full flow, & our waiter was lovely and accomodating. Its a nice place.

Step out of Belfast and into a 1920's jazz bar. Professional and friendly staff, relaxed atmosphere, good cocktails and live music. I wish I had one near me.

We had a really great time here on a Saturday night sitting in one of the booths. The service and music were excellent, the food was awesome and the cocktails are really well made! Would definitely recommend if you’re in Belfast, definitely book first as it was rammed.

Had a delicious meal here to celebrate my husband's birthday. The food was beautifully presented and very tasty from starters including mains & right through to desserts. Staff were very attentive & helpful and experienced. Overall an enjoyable experience. I would thoroughly recommend. Live jazz music starts around 8.30pm.

Really liked the cocktails here. The staff were very friendly, which goes a long way. I'd recommend the frozen Irish coffee. Bit of love jazz with Linley Hamilton added to the elegant atmosphere.

This is going to be a short review - my wife and I love this place. It's not a loud and rowdy bar, like many more in this area of Belfast. It's just my sort of place - a cool comfortable place where you can relax, have great cocktails and just ease away any stress with great live music. Probably one of my favourite bars - anywhere.

Exceptional meal to begin with in an ambient atmosphere. The starter of crab thermadore in a squid ink risotto was delicious. We then shared a chateaubriand cooked perfectly and off high quality with truffle fries and two sauces. And a baked sticky toffee baked alaska for dessert. All while a international jazz artist performed a three hour set that made the evening. Staff were quite attentive and allowed us to order of the menu including a range of delicious but expensive cocktails. Would recommend and We will definitely be back again when visiting Belfast.

A really good place to eat in Belfast with great decor and a fabulous atmosphere. Food is too notch too which is a definite bonus! Very much recommended.
