Wonderful. Family of 5, stopped for lunch and were not disappointed. Great service, great vibe and tasty generous food! What’s not to like?!

Pet friendly 🐾 family friendly, vegan friendly 🌱 nice brunch or treat time either indoor and outdoor ☀️terrasse enjoyable during sunny days. Poched eggs, avocado salmon was a relish, One of the Best spots for chicken Caesar salad 🥗 goat cheese salads, savoury or sweet crepes 🇫🇷 if you love coconuty treats 🍦🥥 🌴 try the bounty bliss ice-cream or a smaller version at the top of a Nutella crepe (my fav) with some strawberries beside. Love it. Their hot cookie dough 🍪 is good aswell. Staff friendly and smiling

A lovely place to sit and relax and have some very tasty snacks and ice cream. Been several times and always found the staff friendly and helpful.

On 15/04/24, I went with my loved ones to Cafe Mauds in Ballyhackamore in East Belfast for a drink & a chat. I have never been here before, so for me, it was a great experience & some time to catch up on all the news from home. Staff were very friendly & helpful. Cafe Mauds is open daily is on The Uppper Newtownards Road in Ballyhackamore. Cafe Mauds is well worth a visit, if you are in the area on business, or just passing through and would like a snack & a cup of tea, coffee or just a nice soft drink. Stephen Acton.

Lovely fresh food, great value and quick service.

Went there this morning before 10.00 and ordered americanos and scones. Very pleasantly surprised, the best scones we’ve had in ages, great variety, delicious when slightly heated. Very clean restaurant/cafe, comfortable furnishings, nice facilities, very fair prices, friendly staff, welcoming atmosphere. Coffees were slightly bitter! Overall, must come here more often!

Calorie heaven! Toffee caramel mixin is the best Wonderful brunch menus as well.

Really nice Ice cream and brunch (had the Toffee heavin Sunday, it was beautiful) the staff are very polite and pleasant good place to stop and get a nice meal also have free WiFi

The wife & niece took me to Mauds for a cuppa, I got a latte, they got dirty great big waffles & ice cream & scones. I thought they were taking me, looks like that was just an excuse. 😆

Had a wonderful lunch with my wife and three children. Menu was great, food was delicious, staff were friendly and the prices were very reasonable. We will hopefully be back soon and we would definitely recommend!

Friendly staff and delicious food! Had to wait to get a seat but waiting area is comfortable so I didn't mind too much.

This is a quiet little cafe with friendly service good coffee and a small selection of food. Just a few tables but most welcome when you want a seat and a coffee.

We went to mauds after completing the pink run for Cancer Focus NI We all had the waffles with different toppings. Very friendly team, and they didn't mind us all covered in pink dust sitting in their restaurant 💕

Called into Maudes to check if they had a gluten free menu..They had GF sourdough so I ordered an open sandwich and my wife had corn fritters.We waited a while but the place was busy and it was worth the wait.The food was delicious and there was loads of it.Great value.The staff are lovely too..we will be back.

Nice breakfast but long wait on a Sunday morning

The place is always busy, which is always a good indicator as to how good it is. The ice cream/ foods / drinks, are lovely. The staff are also very friendly and helpful. Service is also very fast, especially considering how popular it is. Great options for lunch too, plenty of savoury dishes. 2 vegan ice cream flavours and vegan lunch options are handy for those with dietary requirements.

Vegan ice cream available. Great choice of food with lots of variety. Chilled atmosphere, great the bring the kids to.

Another example of a business out to rip off families. £2.20 for a small cone which was a minuscule amount of ice cream. Plus charged a full pound for a tiny dribble of chocolate sauce worth about 20p. Complete joke. Won’t be back.

Come here as many times as possible when visiting family in the area. My children love it. Staff are always great and get our very long orders right every time. Would love something like this where we live, although it's probably best for the waist line that there isn't!

Genuinely felt like I had broken into this place the way I was greeted. You couldn’t buy a smile from a worker in here. The staff were putting away ice cream tubs 45 minutes before closing and acting as if I had just asked for their first born child when I tried to get ice cream to take out. I don’t normally write reviews but the attitude and rudeness of the staff in here has driven me to a new passion. I tried to kill them with kindness to see if I could turn the mood in here but I would have had better luck getting blood from a stone. I’m not sure where or if there was a manger in this place but I’d love to know who put these grumpy teenagers in customer facing jobs. Go to Al Gelato down the road…. It’s much better anyway and the staff smile.

Visited mauds Ballyhackamore last evening and what a disaster. Staff didn't seem to have a clue and the waiting time was awful. The lady in charge was doing her best but had been left, in my opinion by the management, with a bunch of after school kids who hadn't enough on the job training. I won't be back.

This place is great. I visited a few weeks ago and got their chicken ceaser salad which was lovely. Tasted very fresh and I got loads of chicken in it. Really worth the money. The place is very modern. Staff are friendly.

Love this place even for late evening snack selection that good it's hard to pick if you have a sweet tooth.

I love it here. it's so well run and the food is so good. The staff are friendly it's very clean. It is a great place for a cheeky ice cream, but try the food, you won't be disappointed.

Staff were very friendly and accommodating. Lovely atmosphere. Clean and spacious seated area. Mixin choice wasn't on the menu but staff more than happy to make same. Will definitely be returning.

Cafe Mauds just has the best ice creams in Belfast and surrounding areas. I love going there for an ice coupe and a tea ☺️

Lovely ice cream, but we'll never sit in again. Ridiculously slow service and disinterested staff.

I thought I'd give this place another go but really wish I didn't. Burger was dry and tasteless. Roast potatoes greasy and inedible. Even the coffee tasted poor quality.

Mediocre to say the least. Fry advertised at £8.75 outside £9.50 inside. Fry essentially microwaved, poached egg hard. Spicy beans far too spicy, had no right being there. Sausage was deep fried and worse for wear. Yesterday's? Cheesy soda? Different but let's have a fry not Narnias version of one.

Didn't eat just had ice cream which was delicious!!!

Fabulous lunch today , we had chicken and ham pie superb ! Beetroot and hummus open sandwich delicious ! The garlic potatoes excellent and amazing coleslaw ! Lovely friendly staff... comfy and relaxing ...Yum !!!!

Friendly helpful staff and food not bad but the place really needs to be bigger,we got in at an ok time and only waited about 20 minutes but there was people waiting for nearly an hour when we were leaving

Breakfast pancakes were amazing and freshly cooked with syrup with bacon. Super delicious. Staff members were attentive with a brilliant attitude. A++

Love going to mauds as I love honeycomb ice cream. It's the only honeycomb ice cream I will actually eat as the shop bought ones don't taste as good. Plenty to offer for everyone including hot food, hot and cold drinks and of course the amazing ice cream.

Visited here today after several visits with family Ordered a flat white slice of apple pie to have outside and a cookie to take home There was a slice of pie that looked like a double portion but I got a quarter of it and half a cup of coffee The waitress apologised when she charged me £12.15 which seemed exorbitant and she told me she refunded my card by £2 something When I got home checked my account guess what no refund I was coming from Newtownards after mot on my motorcycle Very expensive Big mistake won’t be back

Went for Breakfast and they both had to be sent back twice for being cold and coffee had to be set back because milk was off and curdled. First time it was because they were seved on cold plates, no big deal but Hollandaise sauce sauce was cold to the touch and like water so was politely sent back. Served second time, cold plates so exactly the same, served third time you guessed it, cold plates and cold sauce. All this took a hour with a restless two year old and having to rush because we had been made late. Do yourself a favour and cross the road to Neills Hill.

Go hungry, you'll want to order a bit of everything and the foods great

We had placed an order that came to £33.99, order was late and missing an item when rang the phone was repeatedly put down and finally got through spoke to a young man who was rude and told me that it wasn’t cafe mauds fault. Further told me that he wasn’t able to help me,I said that we had an item that was missing and all he did was give me excuses that it was down to just eat. I made it clear to him that it was cafe mauds responsibility to make sure everything is prepped and ready for the driver to bring to the customer and they failed to do that. I also asked when the item was missing it must still be in their establishment and he was like no it isn’t. Unbelievable I am astounded at There customer service approach it is disgusting and they need to train their staff on how to speak to customers when they have a viable complaint. Unbelievable service from cafe mauds will never order from there again. I will be informing family and friends of the dealing of this issue. Shameful cafe mauds shameful. Huge massive complaint not something to be proud of!!!!! If I could I wouldn’t even score one star. You all should be embarrassed

Yum yum. Friendly welcome and clean atmosphere. The manager that was during our visit was very impressive while multi multi tasking. The food was epic and the coffee spot on.

I've only tried the ice cream desserts menu so far, but I'll be expanding my choices. Their mix up ices are gorgeous, the one I had was strawberry and coconut ice cream with fresh strawberries, shortcake and chocolate sauce. Yum yum.

Tonight my daughter (15) was using a gift voucher I bought her - unfortunately the crepe she ordered was very disappointing and missing a vital ingredient. When she was brave enough to return to the counter and point it out, the response she got was poor. Not the usual standard in my opinion.

Friendly staff which makes a difference to your eating enjoyment. Desserts great selection Lasagne with salad delicious many hot dishes to choose from.

My wife and I come here all the time for breakfast. Great food at reasonable prices with complimentary coffee refills. Very well run by Patrick and his team. Always friendly, welcoming and helpful.

Unpleasant experience. Worst BLT I’ve ever had. No effort made at all. Staff just said sorry about that.

Great selection of Mauds ice cream all the main flavours available as well as a wide range of other sundaes. All great for sit in or take away. This restaurant is also great for a family breakfast, kids really enjoyed it.

It's a place which sells food. I was uninjured after eating here.

Love this place, the food is always awesome, for sweet or savoury. Staff are nice too, always friendly and helpful. Only thing is , if you don't have kids and just want a nice lunch don't go at 3, gets kinda loud with schools just getting out. Nothing to do with the food or anything just not for me then.

I like rocket but not a full bowl of it. Not another leaf mixed through the salad little chopped tomato and loads of red onion which I don't eat anyway. The dressing on the "salad was tasteless" Won't be going back again.

My first time at that Mauds. .. disappointing to say the least. I bought 2 milk shakes... a strawberry one and a vanilla one.. both were tasteless and warm. The assistant put the icecream in the blender and then put far to much milk in.. hense the flavour was then diluted.. he filled the plastic cup and he then discarded the rest (what a waste) and then made the second one the same way... both milkshakes were really thin, warm and tasteless... the assistant needs showing the correct way to make a milkshake... put a brake on the warm milk! I won't be using that Mauds again

I usually love Maud's however really disappointed last night when I ordered a mix-in. I ordered a build your own and I hate nuts but there was nuts in mine fortunately for Maud's not allergic but I didn't enjoy it and threw in the bin what A waste of money. My son ordered a no 7 miX- in his had nuts too. Very very poor service felt rushed at TA counter could hardly hear the server.should improve before I go back will go to gelato next time Haven't seen my son for weeks due to lock down and this was supposed to be s treat. Would like a response please.
