Estuve aquí dos veces el fin de semana el helado era encantador y recomendable. También había café a precios razonables agradables también.

The quality of the gelato is hard to beat but if you like chocolate then give it a miss as they seem to avoid serving it like the plague. The owners must not be fans.

Delicious selection, even the vegan gelato is smoothe, creamy and delectable! Friendly helpful staff and dog friendly!

Had run out of most of our favourite flavours on our most recent visit which wasn't ideal, but otherwise a favourite spot on any sunny day!

Went for my usual favourite coconut milkshake and got a shock when I saw the price increase. £5.75 now and cannot see how the hike in price is justified. Won't be going as much now.

I used to live this place , they were making proper crepes and you used to have a scoop of ice cream for free. This week I came to eat my favourite crepe and the prices has considerably increased, the filling on the crepe was non existent and it didn’t include a free scoop !!! They also gave me dirty cutleries !!! A daylight robbery !!!!

£2.75 for a single scoop tub is daylight robbery! Think I will stick to mauds across the road (1 scoop 2.05/3 scoops 2.95).

Popped in last week in passing to check it out. It was brilliant! Fabulous ice cream, excellent coffee reasonable prices and lovely staff. So we detoured past a couple of days later. First visit wasn’t a fluke. It’s brilliant every time!!

Gorgeous icecream with lots of gluten free choices which is excellent...The coffee is the nicest I gave tasted and all staff we have encountered have been friendly and pleasant. Will be going again soon.

Fantastic ice cream......take away or sit in. I only ever do take away but seats inside for family or friends. Few benches outside too if you want to bring your dog. Great service.

Quite how somewhere as cold and damp as Northern Ireland has so many brilliant ice cream options is beyond all logical comprehension but hey who cares about whether things make sense. Al Gelato are smashing it! Ice cream to die for. Go on, give yourself an ice cream head ache and enjoy every second. . . you deserve it!

Honestly litre tub 4 flavours 3 scoops now 4 flavours 2 scoops and weighed so nearly doubled in price it’s ice cream and x2/3 time more than the rest !!! Predict it not. Going to last ! Shame was a place went at least once or twice a week not any more !!! Greedy

Door wide open making it far too cold to sit inside. Otherwise clean, busy enough. The staff member who served us was friendly. Ice cream was gorgeous, although three super sundaes cost £16.50 so a little expensive! Will be a while before I’m back with the kids sadly

Need to mix up their flavours!! There's always 5 different types of chocolate (bueno, Nutella, milk blah blah). Where's lemon? Raspberry sorbet? Apple?

I have been attending here regularly over past few months and love their ice cream! Tonight however I was met by the most ignorant staff member. If he smiled his face would have cracked….when I asked the flavour of a particular ice cream he directed me to read same on front of cabinet….how rude! What if I was dyslexic or couldn’t read? Upon paying he failed to say thank you!!! Only the shop was packed I would have directly addressed his poor manners and unacceptable customer service! Rant over…hopefully management will see this and offer that guy necessary training.

A lovely little joint for your dessert fix. Had coconut cherry ice cream and Nutella waffle. Yummy and refreshing. Great service. The staffs are super friendly. I definitely recommend this place.

Wow. Loving Al Gelato Ormeau. Ice cream selections change all the time. Vegan and sorbet options also available and freshly made. U gotta try their Afogato if u haven't already....limited seating inside and few benches outside too, generally busy in all weathers.

What is there to say about Al gelato only why haven't u visited here already it has a wide range of flavours and has vegan flavours too

I ordered one scoop on a cone , the taste of the ice cream was good, but the scoop very small , didn't match the price.

Relaxing quiet Sunday afternoon. Dog friendly. The gelato were delicious and smooth served in crispy waffle cones. Plenty of seating areas.

Loved the Watermelon Sorbet and Vegan Dark Chocolate. Probably the best flavours I tried amongst all. Staff is lovely. Would certainly pop back again. Will be nice if they add more flavours/sorbets.

Probably the best ice cream bar going to Italy

Since before lockdown, ie for over two years now, every time I have visited Al Gelato I have asked for fruit based flavours. I went from being a regular once a week visitor, to once a month, and now rarely - maybe every few months. And every time, I ask for fruit based flavours. And every time, I am told: oh, we had strawberry on last week! And yet, every time I seem to have just missed it! So every time, I make do with raspberry ripple (the raspberry flavour is barely discernible) But no more! I am not going to spend my money on products I do not want! So today, I left the shop empty handed. Look, Al Gelato, if you cannot make flavours a customer wants - after 2 years of asking (it is also over 2 years since I last saw Lemon sorbet) then you simply lose a customer. We are not all millennials who want salted caramel and vegan chocolate - but If that is the market you are going for, then good luck. Those of us who like strawberry, raspberry, lemon, fruit of the forest, blueberry etc can go elsewhere. Bye

Best vegan ice cream in Belfast and maybe even the cosmos. Only complaint is I want more, my desire for the dairy free dream cream is insatiable.

I love the sorbet they sell and there's always some great ice cream there too.

They are only doing a small number of flavors but the dark chocolate and water melon sorbet are superb. Well worth a try 👍

We visited the Lisburn rd branch.If you like ice cream then you must visit. Lots of different flavours sauce and toppings! Yum!

Their ice cream is awesome. A bit pricey, but totally worth it.

The vegan options in here are outstanding. Won't even think about trying another gelato place. This has it all.

Not visited since COVID started, just been for a main course up the street, popped in for dessert, still as fabulous, five flavours between us, just divine, keep up the great work!!!

Totally lived up to the hype. Great range of flavours. The gelato is absolutely delicious, even the "plain" milk one.

Initially i wasn't enthused about vegan ice cream- but after being kindly offered a sample of the chocolate- i am hooked! it is so delicious! the only one for me. I've eaten ice cream in many, many places- and this is the best. Why would you want to go to Italy or Switzerland when you can get chocolateice cream of this quality here!!???

The ice cream itself is quite nice, but this company are terrible when it comes to events bookings. They lead me to believe that I had them booked but never contacted me again depsite multiple attempts on my part.

A nice option for ice cream lovers in Belfast, but definitely not the best I tried. Some flavors like the "vegan oreo" doesn't make too much sense to me.

Myself & wife have tried five different flavours. And frankly speaking, we couldn’t distinguish one from another… Very mediocre ice cream, but that is sadly the case for entire country… Sugar with sugar, more sugar and topped with sugar. Perhaps sorbets would be better, but we haven’t tried it. If you call something “gelato”, make sure it tastes like one, please. Because as of now, you offend us, Southern Europeans. Service was very nice and quick though, bunch of kind young people, bravo! Gorgio & Monica

Great ice cream with brilliant prices

A year I didnt go to Al Gelato...a year! I missed it so much! Got some today and it tasted as if I didn't go a day without it! It is my favourite ice cream place hands down! I am lactose intolerant and now there's more options than ever! My favourites definitely still being the sorbets!! The staff is always so so lovely and it's a pleasure going in. Considering covid, the store feels very safe and staff are wearing masks and not allowing more than 2 people in at a time. Can't wait to go back, definitely won't go another year without it 🤤🤤

Yummy Ice cream place , variety of flavours . They introduce new flavours . My favourite is vegan dark Chocolate and Reese peanut butter flavour. Try out the Milkshakes as well !!!! Allowed for takeaways lockdown

The nicest ice cream parlour I have ever been to. The ice cream is to DIE for! They even provide vegan options which is a great bonus for a dairy intolerant individual like myself. It is so hard to find ice cream places which offer this option! I have chosen here before any other well known ice cream places, it is now my new favourite! Staff are so nice and accommodating as well to all the requirements. Couldn't recommend this place any more :)

Great gelato with plenty of variety including vegan options. Sorbets are fabulous especially the pineapple. Stsff are friendly and set up for restrictions is first class

Lots of people have tried this product and many like it. I for one am not one of them... it’s supposed to be Italian ice cream... ??? Was in Ballyhackamore last night and decided to try it... sorry but its 2 stars out of five.. Honeycomb and Strawberry... not sure where the flavour got lost but I would not be back to any Gelato place over here and I run my own ice cream shop and it’s the only one place in Northern Ireland at present where it’s available.. It really is that good...

Delicious ice cream! We got a few cones before walking around Ormeau Park. The honeycomb in particular was fantastic!

Great ice cream. Friendly service. Nice have to have some (really tasty) vegan options as well for those who are lactose intolerant or cutting down on animal produce. Haven't seen that anywhere else yet. The vegan Oreo is a favourite of mine.

Al Gelato is a very welcome addition to the eateries in Ballyhackamore, who would have thought there was room for more? The gelatos are amazing and the coffee first class. The staff are helpful and friendly, what more can I say? Oh yes, I can bring my dog inside. Perfect 😁
