Belvedere Cafe|Restaurant in Belfast

I've been in the new place a few times since the reopening in the new location, and I can say the food was excellent every time both personally and with a couple of business lunches we had. The service was excellent, the staff never far away to grab their attention when needed and it seems to be a better atmosphere than previous visits (some staff seem missing). The staff are great craic and the owner is really nice which makes the experience even better. Keep doing what you're doing guy's, we'll be back more often now. Thank you

Very clever transition into a new space that was a very popular cafe already. Nice new decor. Regular customers kept happy with frys and toasties that are a bit less expensive than the main dishes. There are vegetarian options. The staff are very attentive and friendly. The cafe is wheelchair accessible and has a wheelchair accessible bathroom.

Just back from Belvedere for our regular Saturday afternoon treat. I cannot praise Belvedere enough. Great food so chef needs mentioned, really friendly staff and it's also pet friendly 😄. Could stay all day it's so cosy. Cannot fault it in any way. Storm makes the best flat white in town too! 😜 Well done everyone 😁

Great food and choice in east Belfast. Especially breakfast and coffee. Refurbed to a high standard by a lady owner with years of experience.

Service could be improved. Menu needs changed to cover alternative dietary requirements. Staff do not know the difference between a cappucino and a flat white. The only good thing i can say is...... THE YOUNGEST MEMBER OF STAFF MAKES THE EXPERIENCE WORTHWHILE SORRY I DO NOT KNOW HER NAME.

First time here and was really lovely experience , super friendly and helpful staff ! Extremely clean throughout and great menu options ! Only thing I would add is that when I went to pay - I had to pay for my entire group because they refused to allow us to pay half each and simply split the bill . There was 4 of us - two couples . Whilst I get the need to reduce business costs , it’s a huge inconvenience for customers esp when paying large bills . Would put me off going back

The fact that Belvedere is a dog friendly cafe is a WIN for me. Myself and my doodle Ralphie tried Belvedere for the first time on Saturday and honestly we can't wait to return. The staff were so friendly, they made sure our table was clean and even moved us to a more comfortable table when one became available. The food was delicious also, 10/10!!!!

Great cafe and lovely home cooked food. The staff are so friendly. Prices are spot on. Well worth a visit. Plus they welcome dogs inside and provide treats and water. Fantastic to see.

He disfrutado de la comida aquí un par de veces cuando quería un bocado rápido durante mi descanso para el almuerzo. Solo negativo, ensalada de acompañamiento tenía demasiado aderezo de vinagre para mi gusto. El personal era muy atento y muy rápido para limpiar las mesas tan pronto como los clientes se fueron. El menú tenía una buena gama de opciones y tenía un precio razonable. La decoración era luminosa y alegre. No he dado 5 estrellas porque en mi segunda visita un perro muy grande se le permitió sentarse en el encantador material cubierto asiento de banco - tal vez más sobre la actitud del cliente que el personal. Pero al pasar por la ventana una semana después, de nuevo un perro grande sentado en un sillón. ¿Por qué los propietarios piensan que esto es normal en un café público? Lo siento, pero no quiero sentarme donde los perros han estado sentados.

We just wandered up on this cafe in search of a place for dinner. They were offering a delicious Christmas menu with lots of options including gluten free and vegetarian. The food was delicious. Service was very attentive. Spotlessly clean. Fun little place. Bring your own wine :-) Highly recommend.

Had the Belfast Frenchie & a cup of tea. Certainly hit the spot, portion wasn't small but not too much either.

We visited the Belvedere for the first time this morning as it was listed as dog friendly and we are currently looking after our friend's dog. We couldn't have been made any more welcome by the very friendly staff. A bowl of water and some dog treats were provided instantly. Our food was great too. Loved it!

A gem. We just had a coffee but the service was excellent, the staff really friendly and attentive. Every table was instantly cleared and cleaned so no dirty dishes tobe seen.

Good food friendly staff, but unlike most places they won't split bills, not even 50-50. Gets v busy and parking can be tough but worth a visit

Hubby and I have been a few here a few times now, I've popped in for coffee and a scone and sat in a lovely comfy armchair watching the world go by outside. We've had brunch and lunch here and can't fault it. Had to wait for a table on our last visit but that just is expected when a place is popular and is busy on a Saturday morning. Food is lovely and there's something for everyone. Staff are very friendly and accommodating. Love the decor, very quirky and modern. Def worth a visit.

As a regular visitor to this fabulous little gem, I cannot find fault in anyway. Menu - lots of tasty choices, good price Staff - attentive, friendly, professional Location - quirky, well decorated, vibrant One of the very few places in the city that’s properly dog friendly as opposed to “dog tolerant” If you haven’t tried here yet then I’d suggest getting some and giving it a go, but if you turn up at a busy time you may have a short wait ahead - but this is a good thing, would you rather go to a place with nobody in it - the place speaks for itself. Highly recommended

Great "brunch" 👍 service impeccable and no rush for leaving table , also "dog-friendly" bowls provided. Must say on a Sunday, get in early for seating as they take pre-ordered seating, the Brunches- a must , second to none , four star 🌟 rating , and I'm a "bit-of-a-foodie that apparently "LOVES-HIS-GRUB" give it a call -will be surprised 😮.

Bonito café dentro. Parece que hay un miembro del personal sentando a la gente tomando pedidos de bebidas. Pero esperé un poco por esto. Todo lo que quería era brindar, pero él no podía hacer eso. Definitivamente detecté una actitud. Sólo bebidas. Me senté a esperar otra vez. No vino personal, le pregunté a una chica encantadora que estaba dando vueltas si podía aceptar la orden, pero de nuevo no. Eventualmente después de que me senté y vi al personal charlando vinieron. Para entonces había perdido el apetito, así que bebí mi café pagado y me fui. Por cierto que tenía unos 3 clientes. Ahora le di dos estrellas porque el café era precioso. Mi marido que entra con frecuencia dice que mi experiencia no es habitual. Ha tenido experiencias maravillosas. De hecho dice que están muy atentos. Tal vez el tipo estaba teniendo un mal día, pero desafortunadamente su actitud ha manchado mi experiencia.

First time trying this cafe and loved it, beautifully decorated and staff were very friendly. Between us we had pancakes, French toast and a scone with jam and cream and it was delicious will definitely visit again.

Semi regular customer here, on their old place, and although their new place looks nice it’s a shame they have kept same dull menu they’ve had for the last number of years (since they opened I think. Most restaurants / cafes change their menus frequently but here is the same old, same old!! With the exception of some “daily specials” which again are normally same old specials. No originality / creativity. If they put half as much effort into the food instead of the useless murals it would have served them better. It’s pity they didn’t take the opportunity to revive the menu when they reopened, they missed an opportunity. I’ve heard from other people who’ve went at maybe 1.30pm / 2.00pm and been turned away as “the kitchen is closing early” this is no way to run a business, you advertise open hours and you should adhere to these (unless of an emergency), but it looks they don’t want to work half the time or can’t be bothered. The lady owner is very unprofessional can be heard shouting and swearing at staff in the kitchen from the restaurant and doesn’t appear to care whether customers can hear or not. Makes for an unpleasant atmosphere They also have a high turn over of staff (wonder why?). Some of the staff are lovely, some are too loud and too fond of their own voices! Also appears to have a lot of young people working with no clue of service and petrified of the owner. I’ve been a couple times since they reopened but don’t think I’d return as there are more exciting food venues with on trend food delights and better service and ambience.

Popped in today with my mum for lunch. Warm welcome and great service. Food was delicious and reasonably priced. Lovely atmosphere & comfortable surroundings. We will be back !!

Absolutely delighted that this wee gem is up and running again in their new location. The most delicious veggie fry with choice of egg and a wee spot of courgette and peppers make it so unique! Great service, lovely staff, delicious food. Can't wait to go back and maybe try some of the yummy traybakes!

4 of us came for lunch and the food was lovely. Our server was also very pleasant. Us 4 will be returning next week. Definitely a firm favourite now with us.

Belvedere Cafe Restaurant is my favourite brunch spot on the weekend. It is located at 69 Cregagh Rd, near the Bush Fuels & Motor Factors on 3 Main St. Lovely breakfasts, super fast and friendly service and really great prices attract me very much! I 've sampled most of the brunches here and they 're all top notch. The staff are great, and make the experience just perfect.

I've followed their page on Instagram some time back and always wanted to visit as their food looked delicious. We got the chance last week and it was well worth the wait and tasted as good as it looks in their posts. I will definitely make a point of visiting again when we are next in Belfast

First visit here for a family function. Very impressed that we were able to book to have the venue to ourselves. Lovely selection of foods and no problem bringing your own alcoholic drinks.

I don’t get to visit here enough because I don’t live in Belfast anymore, but for quality food in a relaxed casual setting, I just love The Belvedere. The menu is varied for a small establishment and the service is always fantastic. I took my hard-of-hearing elderly Dad awhile ago, and the owner/manager couldn’t have been more helpful and he really enjoyed her assistance and chat. And my husband used to bring his Mum every Saturday because she suffered from Alzheimer’s and he said the staff were always so sensitive and caring. He wouldn’t have gone anywhere else. But mostly the food speaks for itself; it’s great. Everything I’ve ever gotten is really tasty and is elevated from normal cafe fayre. Highly recommend!

Second time to visit this restaurant. Went today 16th July. Young lady who served us - her first day taking table orders was lovely. So attentive and pleasant. The young man - Manager maybe? was also lovely. We had toasties and garlic fries/potatoes, great portions could not finish! We were asked a few times if everything was ok so really good sevice. Best pot of tea I have had in a long time. Would highly recommend and will definitely return.

Popped in as the place looked inviting and had a lovely wee quick lunch. Had the goats cheese salad which was delicious, the staff were lovely and had a welcoming atmosphere. Would definitely go there if I was over that new dog town.

The best lunch on the Cregagh Road. We have been going for years and it consistently serves up tasty food. There are great vegetarian options and daily specials which means there is always something for everyone. The staff are helpful and friendly, always on hand to help.

Excellent little cafe. Staff were very welcoming and friendly upon arrival. Great selection on the breakfast menu where I had a lovely 3 egg omelette and a cuppa. It was also one of the very few places open around the New Year holidays, so that’s a bonus. Great value and a lovely little place to eat.

I've been many times with my parents and the food has always been spot on. The price to quality is unbeatable in the area. Excellent service is just the icing on the cake.

Called in to enquire about two breakfasts to take away and the guy serving explained they were very busy and it would be a while. He politely gave me a time it would be ready if I wanted to call back. Only had to wait 25 mins so had a coffee while I waited. Healthy fry and eggs benedict were perfect, which isn't the easiest from a takeaway container. Highly recommend.

My son and I visited for some breakfast. The food was burned. The waitresses were great but there was an older woman working at the counter when I went to pay, and she was not friendly. She was cheeky to one of the waitresses in front of me. Very embarrassing.

First time coming here and I wasn’t disappointed. The blonde lady and the tall male server were super friendly and accommodating. The place is clean, well presented and fast service. I got the veggie fry and it really delicious and not greasy. Dog friendly and we gifted a frozen yoghurt for my dog Farrah - definitely coming back! Great to have somewhere like this local :)

Have been to the Belvedere on a few occasions for breakfast, lunch and dinner...the 3 course meal on the Eat out to help out was particularly good! I was lucky enough to win a Facebook competition for lunch for 4 so we took our besties with us to enjoy. Great choices on the menu and Ann Marie..the owner..surprised us by also offering dessert...the Terry’s chocolate cheesecake and white chocolate and raspberry cheesecake were both delicious! Have to mention the service which was impeccable and to be able to be able to byo bottle of Prosecco made our lunch even better🙂 Coffee and tray bakes are so good too...all in all a great little cafe at any time of the day!

Didn’t enjoy my meal with friends and family, starters were alright but main courses were v heavy lots of batter fish, scampi, chicken etc couldn’t face a dessert afterwards. Service was good and staff nice but won’t rush back.

Really good service and food standards. Had the big 4 breakfast meal which was well made and not covered in fat. Cannot comment on the rest of the food but the cafe itself is lovely and clean.

Stumbled upon this place on our way to rugby. Great food, excellent portions, well priced and friendly service. Highly recommend the key lime pie!
