Edo in Belfast

Super friendly but the food alone is worth it. Excellent tapas. We had six dishes and the prawns and the braised beef cheek were particularly delicious. Busy on a regular Tuesday evening in March says a lot.

Always love visiting Edo. Despite it always being really busy you are made to feel like you are at home from the minute you walk through the door. Special shout out to our fabulous waiter Jonny D who took great care of us and to the other Jonny in the kitchen cooking up delicious food. If you are in Belfast, this is totally a must visit if you are looking for fantastic food and service!

First time to Belfast and first time to Edo. Food was fresh and delicious….wonderful service and atmosphere. Johnny looked after us very well and we found out at the end it was his first day there! Nice one Johnny!! Certainly recommend this venue for its diverse range of tapas and relaxed ambiance.

Took a 2nd trip back recently. Seated promptly and a gain atmosphere was lively. Drinks sorted and meal ordered again promptly by the excellent staff. Food appeared in less than 5 mins which didn't really give us a chance to settle in....all seemed a bit rushed tbh. Food this time was fine, not as good as our 1st visit but fine. Meal over all to quickly, I would say half an hr so we ordered a cocktail from their list. As the 1st time we visited it tasted of marzipan!!! Called over the staff member who said that the cocktail base was bulk made and had almond syrup in them....God only knows why. Asked for them to be made freshly which they were...no after taste...in fact was told they were new and improved. Spoiled our evening a bit so we left shortly afterwards.

Good food. Table booked at 6:00. At 7:30 we were reminded that we had the table to 8:00. At 7:40 we were told our time was up- I counted 2 tables of 4, 1 table of 6 and 1 table of 2 free. 2 people only were waiting to be seated. We got up and left despite giving £200 for our food and drink. Disappointed to be treated like that.

Some dishes were lovely and the cocktails were great 👍 Such a pity that the staff particularly one waitress were grumpy. Said waitress forgot parts of our order and said that they were still being prepared however it was very obvious that this was a lie as she proceeded to ask the chef for the order.Later another waitress apologised. When the late dishes came out the duck was tough and the side was not seasoned. Bit of a let down after spending over £120 for lunch.

Wow and Wow again! What an absolutely amazing food experience we had last night. We were not long seated before our server Cath came over to our table and full marks for her very nice way and patience with us as she took her time going through the menue with us. I have a written note of what we enjoyed eating, so that when we come the next time, and hopefully soon, we will wanting to try some of the other Tapas from the menue. The best meal we have had eating out for ages.

We went for dinner. Fairly classic tapas menu. Execution on the food was a little uneven--nothing was exceptional, a few things were good. The paella was bad--it just lacked flavor and was a little skimpy on the proteins. (As if often the case with tapas), we left feeling like we'd paid a good bit for not much food--one bite of this, another bite of that--and were pretty hungry. Cocktails were good! Service was decent, but had a "going through the motions" quality to it. The meal was done very quickly--food came out fast. Atmosphere felt modern and was pleasant enough. Not a bad meal--not an exceptional one, either.

Came for an anniversary dinner, Really lovely welcoming staff and the meal was delicious with plenty of pescatarian options and presentation was brilliant would highly recommend

This was a fantastic night...a birthday celebration...not easy with one member a severe coeliac ..and another lactose intolerant. The staff were incredibly attentive and knowledgeable. They even made sure there was no cross contamination by bringing out gluten free food separately from the other food . The food was of an exceptional quality and the flavours amazing. I cannot speak highly enough of this restaurant and the staff . Highly recommended 👌

Another trip to my sons favourite restaurant when he is home in Belfast. We where greeted by Eve, who was so professional and pleasant in her manner at dealing with us wanting to eat a little earlier than we had booked. Each dish we had was perfect, with a nice bottle of white wine. A really nice place to eat, especially at the chefs service area, which is where we always sit, so we can admire each dish as it goes to pass. Highly recommend you try it .

Great food and service definitely will be back and would highly recommend. I did think the wine is a bit overpriced but otherwise really great value.
