Lovely venue and lovely food served with a smile! I went for brunch with a friend and was served by the lovely owner Danielle with a smile as soon as I entered we ate off the breakfast menu and thoroughly enjoyed our food and experience from start to finish. Definitely worth a visit and look forward to coming again for an evening meal.
Fabulous find! I was hankering for a traditional Cornish scone! And wasn’t disappointed! Freshly made and light - with gorgeous latte too - lovely owners and their little dog! So friendly and cosy - will be back for lunch too!

Town Green Garden Cafe is an absolute gem that has quickly become my go-to spot for both the perfect cup of coffee and a truly delightful experience. The coffee is nothing short of exceptional – rich, flavourful, and brewed to perfection every single time. Whether you're a fan of a bold espresso or a smooth latte, they have mastered the art of crafting the perfect beverage. But it's not just the coffee that keeps me coming back – the food is equally outstanding. Their menu offers a fresh, creative range of options, from delicious pastries to hearty sandwiches, all made with top-quality ingredients and a real passion for flavour.
What really sets Town Green apart, though, is the staff. They are simply the best! Engaging, attentive, and always ready with a smile, they make you feel welcome from the moment you step through the door. What I love most is their sense of humour – they are genuinely funny, quick with a joke or a witty remark that adds an extra layer of enjoyment to your visit. It's clear they love what they do, and that energy is infectious. It's rare to find a place that not only serves incredible coffee and food but also creates such a warm and joyful atmosphere. Town Green Cafe is a true treasure – I can't recommend it highly enough!

Went here based on the tripadvisor reviews - and the food pictures! Food looked pretty good. And it WAS good. Great food and fantastic staff, 10/10 would go again without hesitation.
This cafe is so much better than anywhere in the walls and is only a few mins away from the minster! I live round the corner and feel lucky to have such an amazing place to pop into.
I’ve sampled brunch, lunch, coffee, cake and the hot chocs which are incredible!
More than anything though I love this place for being welcoming without judgement, whether I’m passing for take away after a walk/run, popping in with friends or hiding in the corner solo.
The team are friendly and nothing is too much trouble. The prices are low for the quality and they have a great pay it forward scheme.
Thank you for brightening up the Groves x
Had the most amazing roast at The Stumble Inn. Went for the medium size, had the Turkey, couldn't have been cooked better, food was hot and the taste was amazing, Yorkshire were fantastic 😋 Will definitely be returning.
Our family live in various parts of the country and arranged to meet here at the Berwick Tea Rooms in memory of our late Mum. We weren't disappointed, we had the most delicious afternoon tea. The lovely Georgie made us very welcome and catered for all the family dietary requirements. We also had the canine division of the family with us -lovely Luna and adorable Diesel both were well behaved and were also catered for. The food was delicious. I can't select one particular favourite as everything was brilliant. Thankyou for such a delicious spread x
Fantastic Sunday lunch, well cooked and presented. Lovely fresh veg. Roaring fire and nice friendly atmosphere. Reasonable price. Definitely recommended.
