Ortica deserves its 5 star rating, I eat meat but this place serves up tasty delicious food. The owners are friendly and knowledgeable. A lovely place to eat and drink

Exceptional culinary delights accompanied by warm and welcoming service. The price-to-quality ratio was exceptional.

It was our groups first time visiting the restaurant. We were all impressed! Lovely relaxed atmosphere, friendly and helpful staff. Most of our group opted for the excellent lasagna. Fresh and tasty. Finished off with an indulgent chocolate brownie. Our only suggestion would be for a selection of sides with the main meal and cream or ice cream with the brownie. We’ll definitely return!

Me and my partner went to Ortica for a date night and we were both absolutely blown away by the quality of the food. The lasagne was incredible and so full of flavour as was the Patete & Friarielli - just insane! Great atmosphere and lovely, friendly staff. We will definitely be returning!

The lasagna especially was gorgeous . I went when they first opened and my only complaint would be they need a selection of side orders for veg, salad or maybe even chips! You can get a main course but nothing to go with it , which veggie or not, is a bit odd! This hasn't evolved and would stop.me going back we had to order a main course course salad @ £11.95 to share which didn't have any tomatoes or cucumber in it. Maybe change this?

We had a fab lunch. Lovely, friendly service. Delicious aubergine parmigiana and gnocchi, finished off with an amazing Tiramisu. They do a mean Negroni too!

My daughter and I came here for a Mother’s Day treat- and it was amazing! I’m not vegan so was a little unsure what to order but the staff were so helpful, guiding us through the menu and giving us samples of wine before choosing one. The food was amazing as were the cocktails! Staff were so friendly and helpful - we had a lovely afternoon! Thank you so much - amazing place and fab team!

Great food that is authentic Italian with a plant based twist. Best vegan cheese I have ever had. Staff so accommodating and knowledgeable. Give it a try - you won’t regret it. So lucky to have this little piece of Italy in Urmston

Lovely evening out with a friend to local cosy vegan restaurant. Fantastic staff who listened attentively to our likes and dislikes and offered great advice, helping us to choose from the menu. Wow. We had such an incredible meal at Ortica for valentine's day. The food, drinks and service was incredible. We especially loved the meatballs! We purchased some pasta and sauce to enjoy at home and they were delicious too. We can't wait to come back.

We can only echo the positive comments made by other reviewers; gorgeous food, lovely friendly welcoming staff and service, great decor, very reasonable prices, especially given the challenges for small independent restaurants at the present time, good integration of restaurant and deli aspects - and purchase opportunities! We would definitely recommend and look forward to returning- wishing this restaurant and family every success :)

To celebrate my daughters birthday she took me to her favourite restaurant. It turned out to be my first ever Vegan outing and it was an incredible experience (as well as a massive surprise). Started with an amazing cocktail, Nettle infused Prosecco called an Ortica (apologise if I have the terminology wrong), following by fresh olives (daughter says the best ever!) and some superb bread and 3 dips. I had the lasagne mains (excellent), my daughter, Pesto Gnocchi and a friend a huge pizza. The puds were equally impressive: affogato, tiramisu and the cake of the day. We also sampled the white wine and I loved the red, which was so good I bought a bottle to take home (see the pic). A great team cooking and hosting. A great way to celebrate!
