Food was really good, in particular the arancini, best I have tried around Manchester.

What a fabulous place. Went to Bar Etna last night with a group of friends. The owners and staff were so welcoming and friendly. I have coeliac disease and the owner was knowledgeable about gluten free diet and cross contamination and was very accommodating. The food was delicious and service excellent. If you want to go somewhere to relax and eat good food and be transported to a little bit of Sicily this is the place. Highly recommend.

My partner and I visited Bar Etna this evening for the first time and we will definitely be returning! The food was very fresh and tasted beautiful. The hospitality was fantastic and it is apparent that the owners are passionate about the food they serve. Not only is this restaurant ideal for couples, families and groups of friends but the value for money is second to none compared to other establishments in the area. If you are ever in or around Altrincham , I absolutely recommend eating here.

Stumbled on this lovely family run Italian cafe. Coffee excellent and the cannelloni was fantastic. And the price was great!

Amazing way to start off the week. We were passing by and we stopped here for lunch. Amazing food and best coffee we ever had in the UK. Staff is very friendly. It’s like we took a quick trip to Sicily and back! Definitely worth a visit!

Lovely food based around the staples. Not fancy but homely. Paired with some of their good wines I couldn't ask for more.

Honestly, this place is a gem. Great pasta dishes at really affordable prices. Special mention to the pistachio trofie, it's just so good! They also have arancini fried on the spot and other great starters along with legit paste di mandorla which goes great with coffee. Plus the owners are lovely. Really good for a good quick bite or a relaxed lunch with a glass of wine.

What a wonderful evening! I felt as if I had been transported to Sicily, the atmosphere was lovely only beaten by the amazing service. Our waitress Lauren was amazing I would highly recommend to anyone visiting Altrincham to get a true taste of Sicily!

Siamo andati a visitare Manchester un paio di giorni fa , girando pure i villaggi vicini con il tram scendiamo ad Altrincham. Facendo pochi passi dalla fermata abbiamo letto Bar Etna, essendo di Catania come non provare .Ecco Chiara e Carmelo , proprietari troppo simpatici e cortesi ,era come se fossimo a Catania. Le Lasagne erano come quelle che mi faceva mia nonna .per non parlare dell'arancino, e della cipollina SBALORDITIVO.Dipendenti molto educati e attenti sia Loren che Nino . Una vera cucina siciliana . Ottimo

With a friend over from Australia I took a punt on a recommendation from a mate. Booked for four of us on Thursday evening. Basically, the food was great. Starters were spot on, mains were spot on, my lad had a doughnut with white chocolate (there were five flavours) for dessert, which needless to say was spot on. The husband and wife running the show and the waitress were all very nice. We’ll be back as I want to try something else on the menu!

My wife has been a number of times and brought food back home. But this was my first visit. Bought some wine, cake and some other food for takeaway. Great Italian food combined with good Italian service. The man who served us knew his products well. If you fancy a treat and you're in Altrincham pop in and give it a try, you won't be disappointed!

Genuinely felt like we were back in southern Italy. Had Aranchini, croissant and coffee, all excellent. Great service and authentic Italian atmosphere.

Atmosphere is wonderful. Nice little shop in Altrincham. Brilliant food; brilliant service. Feels like I made a mini trip to Sicilia. The place is now on my bucket list. Food is top notch 🌟

Came here for lunch, had the special (ravioli with king prawns and scallops), the Caprese salad and an Americano. Everything was delicious. People are very friendly and obviously Sicilian. I guess the only thing that they could improve on is more options for pescetarians on the menu. But they do have lots of nice options if you love meat! They also have a kids play area so it would be a perfect option if you go with little ones.

Fantastic cafe serving really delicious, authentic food. The parmigiana and torta della nonna were particularly good. Lovely atmosphere and warm welcome from the team there and great for kids (they have a play area too).

A unique experience from the service to the food. Nothing more authentic than a Sicilian Arancino is something out of this world when is freshly made by order. A piece of Catania here in Altrincham.

Delicious food, great prices, lovely family business. Visited with 3 small kids, the pizza was very well received. The adult mains were so good we had to try dessert too! There's something for everyone, we will definitely be back.

Probably the quitest lunch ever we had with our daughter, thanks to the play area just behind our table. The food was great and the service too. We felt at home, in Sicily even if in Manchester! Thanks guys

Humble but absolutely delicious. We had the mixed platter as a starter and it was divine, generous and varied! The sicilian wines were delicious and the pasta course was phenomenal. Can't wait to go back. Ps they also have a kids play area inside too occupy the little ones while the magic is happening.

The best pasta I have ever had in England. The tiramisu is really nice, not as sweet as others, very delicious. Definitely worth visiting!

If you want an authentic taste of Sicily, this place, Bar Etna , is an absolute must. Absolutely divine. I almost cried when I tasted the arancino as it too me right back to my honeymoon. The family who run it are so welcoming and generous and the level of thought they’ve put into getting the food right makes me want to go back tomorrow. Amazing!

Great food from start to finish had 10 dishes between 4 of us. The lasagna was amazing. Learnt some some Italian along the way from Nino. Great service and really good value! Will definitely go back! Thanks

Italian style cafe with really tasty Sicilian food and ice-creams. They serve Sicilian breakfast which is brioche filled with ice cream and I really suggest it for starting your day with happiness! I raccomend to order it with pistacchio flavour which is out of this world. I went for lunch and ordered their homemade focaccia which was really good and rich. The place is also quite family friendly with a corner of the shop transformed in a small play area for babies and toddlers. Staff very welcoming and helpful. Will come back for sure.

I went there for a date. It was brilliant. Food is so delicious. We had home made pasta with pistachio and focaccia with stracciatella, mortadella and pistachio as you can see at the pictures. It was superb, so tasty, well done guys!! Grazie mille

Wife is Sicilian, in her words the closest thing to home she has had in the UK. A Sicilian restaurant in the true sense. Excellent food, great people. The Cannoli was amazing.

Spotted this new cafe and thought we'd give it a try. We weren't disappointed! Owners were really welcoming. Very tasty cannoli, beautifully presented and very reasonably priced. Would definitely recommend.

This is a great place!!Low key and relaxed, and really welcoming to kids/families, with a small play area. The food was excellent..between 5 kids and the adults we ate half the menu and it was all great- hard to pick out favourite dish...kids meal v good value, great ice-cream and tiramisu... The wine was delicious too. A lovely welcome from the owners and their team. Thoroughly recommend.

Great place for families. The aubergine parmigiana was delicious and our children loved the play area and the kids menu. The biscuits and limoncello for available for sale are wonderful, too.

Called in for a coffee and cake. Really enjoyed the authentic atmosphere of the place. Very friendly people and great quality food and drinks. Nice selection of groceries for sale too. Bought some pasta to take home. Hope to return for a meal soon.
