A lovely Italian restaurant. Helpful friendly staff. They went through the menu, letting me know what was available Gluten free, which was most of the menu!! What a choice and the food was delicious!

We went here for a meal with 4 friends, the food was beautiful, nothing was too much trouble, service was fabulous, this is by far the best Italian in Altrincham, we will definitely be back. Thank you for a lovely evening.

Had a large gathering celebrating a family members special birthday on Saturday night. Everyone gave glowing accounts of their cuisine choices. The food quality throughout was simply excellent and the service was faultless. The restaurant chefs and serving staff provided a truly memorable and entertaining night. The manager Luigi attended to our every need. We can't thank him and his superb team enough!

Visiting friends for the weekend this was all our first visit to La Filia. On arrival we were met with a big smile and very friendly welcome before being shown to our table. It was an early Friday evening and we (2 x couples) appeared to be only the second table to sit but later in the restaurant became very busy. The restaurant itself had a cost intimate vibe. Table service from Luigi throughout the evening was excellent, quietly efficient and polite. Wine. Our friends had the House Red Primotivo and ourselves the House White Sauvignon, both very good. Food wise, with assistance from the friendly Luigi. I chose the Plaices (yes two of) topped with lemon creamy sauce and a serving of roasted new potatoes. All excellent! Other choices chosen were the calves livers, very generous portion, and Lasagne. Overall, all the food was served hot and tasted delicious. If I lived locally I would certainly regularly return.

A fantastic evening, spent in the company of friends which was made even more enjoyable by the staff, nothing was any bother and this restaurant is certainly a jewel, and one that I would certainly recommend, the food and service was of a very high standard, my sincere compliments to Luigi and his team

Amazing food and service. Our host Gigi was so welcoming and attentive. We had spaghetti with clams and coppo Fritto, the best I have ever jad in England! Highly raccomended! Will definitely coming back! Thank you La Filia!

Our first visit to La Filia yesterday for a family birthday. There were 12 of us and upon arrival was greeted by Luigi who took us to our table. On first impressions, the restaurant is lovely and cosy, nice décor and lighting and a lovely friendly greeting – We were welcomed and asked whether we’d been before, which we said, it was our first visit and my mother in law’s birthday. Luigi was super helpful in recommending dishes, going through specials with us. We all had a variety of food; starters King Prawns, which were amazing, ribs equally as amazing, Calamari, again really good. For mains, I had the Pappadella Toscana which was really good, other dishes calves liver which was a really good generous size, Risotto, Penne Salmone all really really good. As it was a birthday, Luigi very kindly brought out a cake and sparkler for my mother in law and sang happy birthday. Overall, I couldn’t fault the service or the food, I always love restaurant which feels personal, and it certainly did. We will most definitely be back soon and would highly recommend to others.

Had dinner here last week and it was fantastic. Came in with our two small children, and whilst they dont have a childrens menu, they were very accommodating with smaller portions for them. Food was incredible, really tasty, friendly and attentive staff and an atmosphere that resulted in me genuinely being surprised when we left and i was still in Altrincham. Certainly recommend visiting, and no doubt will be back when im up north again.

Had a lovely meal thanks to Luigi & the team! The Calabrese pizza was delicious and toppings were very generous. My mum really enjoyed her di Parma pizza on a gluten free base. Service super friendly and made us feel really special. Will definitely visit again next time we are in Altrincham :)

La Filia is the perfect Italian restaurant. The food is exceptional as is the service. Luigi is the perfect host. His recommendations are always justified whether it is from the specials board or ordering any side dishes which he considers may not be needed. I and my husband cannot recommend La Filia enough. Food, service atmosphere are perfect for any occasion.

As an Italian I must praise the restaurant team for their inspired and authentic cooking. The cooking of the beef on my crostini was spot on and the pasta delicious. I must also praise Luigi and Paola for their welcoming attitude. Very friendly and professional, they made me feel a little like back home! Grazie mille and see you soon!

We had a great meal tonight; the food was excellent and the staff could not have been more helpful and friendly. We had eaten here before and felt the same way but normally wouldn’t have seen it as particularly noteworthy. Perhaps we should have. Why? Well the restaurant wasn’t busy and that surprised us. Turns out that several people had booked (the manager showed us his list of bookings) but not shown up. Worse, it seems some just want to criticise for the hell of it. One review claims the manager was rude and aggressive. Well, having been a few times I simply don’t think the manager could be rude and aggressive if he tried. The food is great, the staff are great and the challenge for this restaurant is that we customers don’t know how lucky we are. Give it bad reviews and/or don’t show up at your peril - and lose another good eatery.

I’d never heard of this restaurant before and booked on the strength of the reviews. We loved it. Food was delicious and service was excellent. Will definitely eat here again. Not just a bog standard Italian restaurant, seems that a lot of thought has gone into the menu which is really varied.

Presents itself as a classy restaurant, but food is very unexceptional. It was quite empty (on a Friday evening) but the waiter kept telling us it was normally busier. Felt dingey inside and lacking in atmosphere

I have visited La Filia several times, but as I had a friend visiting from East Sussex I took her along to see what she thought. She enjoyed it so much has asked me to leave another review about her own experience. She loved the stylish simple decor, the ambience was perfect and her prawn cocktail and lobster ravioli were superb. My sardines and Sea bass were equally delicious all accompanied by lovely bottle of red wine with coffee and cognac to finish. Together with the friendly and welcoming hosting from the Manager and his young lady assistant, my friend felt it was one of her best dining experiences for a long time.

This is a great spot for authentic Italian food. We thoroughly enjoyed every dish! We were warmly welcomed by all the staff and the service was excellent! I’m definitely coming again

Appalling behaviour witnessed of the manager during our family meal directed towards another customer on the table behind us. He was verbally very aggressive and very confrontational towards a customer who wasn’t happy about the portion size of his meal, which to be fair none of us were happy about our pasta portions either. It was absolutely shocking and unprofessional behaviour. He repeatedly kept returning to the table being really nasty and raising his voice and then standing in the raised area to glare aggressively at the customer. We weren’t happy about the quality of our food and one of our drinks, but were left unable to raise this as a concern due to the very likely aggressive nature of the manager towards our table. Looking through the reviews this aggressive behaviour by the manager has been a concern by other customers too. AVOID!

The food is delectable, the service is attentive and warm and the atmosphere is conversation friendly, in that the music is at the right level to be enjoyed and not deafened also to allow for a normal pevel of speech so my throat isn't sore from having to shout to my companion. All in all will be recommending and frequenting this lovely place ✨️

Visited for our first time food is lovely I asked for a change in the dish which was accommodated and was beautiful it was a little Quite for early doors but apart from that the staff a really nice and La Fila is A little Gem

This restaurant is amazing. Really authentic Italian cuisine served by delightful staff. I noticed a previous review said that the garlic bread is the best they’d ever eaten & i absolutely agree. We both had Lasagne for our main course & it was absolutely fabulous. The restaurant offers a really sensibly priced menu & I can’t wait to go back.

Everything we hoped for in an Italian restaurant - great food, service and ambience. We were well looked after by Luigi, Mirko and the rest of the team. Despite being extremely busy on a Saturday night, this did not detract from the experience. Will we return? 100% yes

So ok, the spelling of the name has been Anglicised, but other than that we can’t fault it. First visit tonight and the food was superb. Great staff, good wine and all on the doorstep. There were 4 of us last night dining at La Figlia for the first time. What an overwhelmingly pleasant experience. The young lady who greeted was lovely. We opted to share the pizza style garlic bread to start. Utterly delicious enough for us to vote it the best we have ever eaten which I know sounds a bit over the top but it was! Eyeing up the specials board 3 of us chose the halibut steak served on a pea purée base with roast potatoes and vegetables. Again an outstanding dish. Really top notch. Luigi the charming manager said the halibut was fresh into the restaurant and I know it was. He had time to tell us about his work with top restaurants in London The Savoy and Browns amongst them. To finish off our evening Luigi prepared a cocktail. He said “I will make you one - Trust me! “ so we did. Fantastic delicious and a bit of a knock out. Mil Grazie Luigi and the team!! We will be back.! Soon!

Fantastic fresh gluten free food and service

My wife and I ate at la Filia for the first time on our wedding anniversary on a Saturday evening. It is without doubt the best Italian in Altrincham. The food was hot, tasty and plentiful. The staff are very friendly and efficient. Its an intimate/cosy restaurant so can feel a little snug but that just adds to the ambience. We have lived in Altrincham for over 50 years and hadn't been before, but this is definitely our new favourite place to go.

First try here after seeing great reviews and was not disappointed in any way. Service was second to none and Luigi was just perfect, personable and attentive and does the best Negronis. Had 3 courses including fillet steak and also arrabiatta and all were delicious, of high quality and cooked to perfection. I would definitely say this is the highest standard of food we have had in the Altrincham area for many years and cannot wait to be back.

We booked for a party of 11, 2 of which were 3yrs and under, we wanted a true italian restaurant one which is very family authentic,this restaurant is amazing,food staff and atmosphere,I highly recommmend

I booked this restaurant to celebrate my sons birthday and had family coming over fron Yorkshire. When booking the table I qas told that they needed the table back for 8pm and had thief's confirmed when I arrived. I didn't appreciate it when we had eaten our starters and main course to be told that we had to order our deserts etc quickly as we only had the table firx1hr 45mins. Needless to say we didn't order any deserts and will never go to that restaurant again. I understand that they need to get as much revenue as possible to keep a business afloat but this was taking the piss. The table was booked for 515pm and we left before 650pm which is a joke.

As an Italian I was really impressed with the quality of food, just what was desired for a first time outing. The two of us really enjoyed the meal and the ambiance was just what I wanted. I have to say Luigi and the rest of the staff were brilliant, attentive yet relaxed, friendly but caring to make sure we had a special time. Highly recommended.

Wow! We had a wonderful dinner in La Filia. We stopped there on our way to the airport, and really didn't expect such a fine restaurant - true Italian food, friendly familial service, great atmosphere. No pineapple on pizza, by the way ;-). We have lived in Altrincham for 3 years but have only just discovered this restaurant. We took two friends mid week for an evening meal. This restaurant has such a very welcoming atmosphere. The staff were lovely and very attentive. The food was amazing well priced and well presented. We are delighted to have found this little gem and will certainly have very many more visits there.

Visited last night for the first time and it certainly won’t be the last. The restaurant is beautiful and has a wonderful atmosphere. The staff are happy, attentive, helpful but not overpowering and the food, my word, the food is amazing. Fresh, delicious, beautifully presented and sooo yummy! La Filia is a true hidden gem!

We have eaten here three times recently, after first going on our own child free, we loved the traditional menu and great friendly service. Have since been back twice more with kids and friends and each time it has exceeded our expectations and we will definitely keep returning either as a family, a couple or with friends.

We really enjoyed this little place in Alty, the staff were welcoming and creative with the cocktails - The manager created his own version of a Godfather cocktail, absolutely delicious, did not last long. The food was amazing, you could tell that everything they brought out was freshly cooked and made with skill. 10/10 to the chef. The portions were really good, their pizzas are HUGE. Even when we had a smallish portion, the flavour more than made up for it. The atmosphere and style of the restaurant was classy and romantic, just what you want on a much needed date night with the Husband. Thank you to everyone who served us, we'll see you next time! Outstanding authentic Italian food, with exceptional service from staff. Without a doubt the best Italian food in Altrincham.

Overall it was nice and I would recommend eating here as the food was nice and good value. There were a couple of things which took the edge off. It took 30mins for our order to be taken and then we were told that we only had 60mins before the table was needed for the next customers. Other thing was dealt with at time, but not in the best way.

High quality, well priced Italian food

Visited with two friends, as a Birthday celebration for us all. The food was excellent. One of my friends is Gluten intolerant, and to find that any pasta dish could be gluten free was an absolute bonus. From the warm welcome, to the atmosphere, to the food and the goodbye at the end of the evening, was fantastic. Cannot recommend the restaurant enough. Thank you for a truly wonderful experience.

Nice place with good atmosphere, friendly staff. Tasty food but small portions, delay with being served drinks, far too much ice in gin and tonic and hate having an unnecessary straw. However, would still recommend and would definitely go again.

Went here with friends a couple of weeks ago. Lasagne was honestly one of the best I’ve ever tried, sauce was so tasty and cheese so stretchy. The tiramisu I had after was also heavenly! Have already recommended La Filia to others and would definitely come again.
