Mano a Bocca in Trafford

Atmosphere was good, the staff were brilliant but the food was terrible! The pizza was like a piece of cardboard. I’ve honestly had better frozen pizzas from the supermarket. And the pasta was like a microwave meal.

Lovely food and great vegan options too, staff also lovely!

We visited on Valentine’s Day and it was a lovely experience - food was delicious and service was brilliant as ever. We’ve been numerous times before and have had a great time at all of them. A standout here is the amount of space you have, no crammed tables! Which you don’t get everywhere these days. Thank you!

Me and my family go there alot and we love it so much! The food is Delicious,the service is great and its very friendly. The tomato Bruschetta is one of are faves. Great area with lots of space to play outside we LOVE it!!! Reccomend it all the time. Great place 10/10

ordered a delivery of pizza with speck, gorgonzola, and - at £2.50 extra - salsicchia after a close examination I managed to find a few crumbs of the latter. what a rip off. I won’t be ordering again

Lovely meal in a relaxed environment. We all had pasta dishes and all enjoyed. We were there for three hours at lunchtime and didn't feel pressured to leave.

Booked for a family birthday celebration for 15 people. Food was great, service was good and it all ran quite smoothly, which is not always the case when you’re in a group. We were never made to feel rushed and the staff were very good with the four children in our party.

Really bad just paid £24 for a burnt pepperoni pizza and minging garlic bread phoned up to complain and was basically told leave bad reviews I’m not bothered please stay well clear

Never been here before and was invited by friends. We went early in the evening. I was struck by the noise in the place, and the number of children there. It sounded like a children's indoor play centre! I get they are child-friendly and on the whole the kids were well enough behaved, however it seems primarily a family place where parents can have a glass of wine and to some extent, for some to leave their kids to their own devices. There were some kids running around outside and I have noticed this before when passing. A good place to eat if you have a family but not for everyone who wants a bit of grown up peaceful dining. The food was quite good but the pizzas (same experience for us all) are a bit soggy in the middle which is a pet hate of mine. Other than the above, it was a pleasant enough evening albeit a bit loud with too many short people around me! The service was good.

This is a good sized Italian restaurant specialising in pizzas and pastas. Firstly, the service we had was absolutely excellent. For a table of 10 including two children we were waited on very patiently. Our waiter was friendly and was able to make good suggestions. The food also arrived pretty quickly considering it was a busy Friday night, and at this price point, I don't think I've had better Italian food. The pizzas were full of interesting and considered toppings, the bases thin and delightfully crispy, everything you could want in a pizza. Likewise my wife's Rigatoni was packed full of king prawns with a chilli kick judged perfectly. Doing a few things very well is certainly a winning combination and offers very good value casual dining, if this is what you're after you can't go far wrong visiting Mano a Bocca.

Mano a Bocca is a great place to eat for all occasions, either with friends, family or as a couple. Lunch, dinner or a drink and nibbles, it doesn’t matter, you will enjoy excellent quality and wonderful service. My family and I eat regularly here and had my wife’s 40th birthday here and every time we go, we love the food, the atmosphere and the really friendly staff. William always gives you a warm welcome and a great chat and Matt, Alex, Andy and all the other staff are brilliant too - always smiling and welcoming and so accommodating. I love this place. If you want a good recommendation, the Calabria pizza (add the tomato sauce) is a masterpiece. I’ve also worked through the starters and they’re all excellent. If you’ve still got room, the gelato bar is well stocked and and the quality as good as anything I’ve tasted outside of Italy. All in all, a top notch restaurant!

Really good food in a nice setting. There's a lot of bars within a few minutes walk of this place so it's a great place to grab something to eat before having a few beers.

I reviewed before and gave it 4 but I've updated to 5 because they were very friendly to my dog. Also I like the fact that the pizzas have structural stability when you pick them up. I am bored if the latest fashion for floppy pizzas so I don't go to places like Ruby's anymore. They take risks with their flavour combinations and most of the time they pay off.

Our first visit to Mano A Bocca was long overdue. Owners, Michael and Ayten, are veteran restaurateurs who have chalked up another success. Food, service and atmosphere are terrific. We will be back soon.

We ate here as a group of 50 for our daughters football team celebration. Service was good & speedy. Food arrived in good time considering there were 50 of us. Some good vegan options. Kids all enjoyed getting their own ice cream from the gelato stand inside, they also played outside in the piazza as it was a sunny day. Overall great meal, would recommend.

Lovely large, casual restaurant. The staff are lovely, food is excellent, the wine list has some familiar favourites along with interesting less familiar choices. We had two pizzas (fungi al tartufo, and the vegan courgette pizza but asked for normal mozzarella) and a mixed leaf salad. Both pizzas were delicious, but the mushroom pizza was a little soggy from the mushrooms releasing their liquid. I cook them out a bit first before adding them as a pizza topping to avoid this. The side salad was generous and the dressing very tasty. I ordered a glass of Cesanese, a red wine from Lazio which I had not heard of before. It was delicious. Medium weight, but very aromatic, and full of flavour. It was a lovely accompaniment for the truffled mushroom pizza. We also ordered dessert. My wife had vanilla ice cream, I ordered tiramisu. I am very particular about tiramisu, and rarely order it due to frequent disappointment. I went for theirs because it listed Marsala in the description, and it turned out to be one of the best I have ever had. Enough coffee and Marsala for a rich and indulgent flavour but without making the Savoiardi soggy, and a luxurious dousing of sabayon or over the top. It was a generous portion as well, served in a trifle cup. Tremendous! The staff were great. Very friendly and helpful, but without being over attentive. We had a great experience.

Me and my disabled girlfriend visited this place a couple weeks ago - told them about her wheelchair in advance and they made sure we had plenty of space to fit it to our table whilst being genuinely welcoming. Accessible restaurants are sometimes hard to find but this one is a massive stand out.

Lovely place, gluten free and vegan options available. I had the best chocolate cheesecake that was gluten and vegan which was amazing for someone with intolerances! Staff were lovely, friendly and helpful.

This place! I can't say enough good things about it. Wouldn't change a thing. The food is utterly delicious. I have two of the fussiest eaters ever (differently fussy too!) and they love the food. The kids set menu is such good value. That said, there are other options to choose from which are all fairly priced. And I know broccoli pizza sounds wrong but it is soooo right! Be warned, you'll want to go back.

An absolutely delightful meal here for my wife's birthday along with the kids. Brilliant service, such a friendly waiter. Great for the kids (went at 5pm on a Weds, and there were a number of families there). Nice negronis too!

We ate there after visiting an exhibition at the Waterside, they’d only just opened for lunch but already had a couple of diners in and there was a steady flow of customers in the 90 minutes or so we were there. I had a garlic bread starter my wife had the mushroom bruschetta, for mains I had the spicy king prawn pasta and my wife had the salmon one, both starters and mains were first class and the service was attentive without being overbearing, overall a nice place to eat.

Went here for my son’s birthday meal and we absolutely loved it! Staff are so nice, the pizza is delicious and some of the best we’ve ever had. It’s really kid friendly and they were happy to do some topping adjustments for dietary needs. They also do GF bases. We liked it so much we ordered it on deliveroo the next day! Our friends commented on how good it was too.

So happy we came. Food was cheap, good and filling. Desserts were incredible. Chocolate cake was literally exactly what i want it to be every time i see it on a menu. Lovely staff! If i was local, would come often

We love this place. It’s the only restaurant we go to in Sale as the service is excellent, the food is amazing and our 3 year old loves it. Great for families as the staff are amazing and really look after you and make you feel special in a relaxed, warm atmosphere. ❤️❤️❤️❤️

Been here on a little date night. Even though it was a busy Saturday night, service didn't seem rushed, staff were friendly and patient when taking our order. Food was lovely and fancy and plenty of drinks available. Decor and setup is really inviting even with additional artesian purchasable items dotted around the venue. Only con (if at all), the menu did seem a little limited, so 'picky eaters' could struggle. This is most likely down to the abundance of available items at other eateries. Cannot complain about the food ordered though, as the quality was one point. 5* will visit here again.

Mana a Bocca is hands down the best Pizza in Sale (definitely up there for Manchester). Always great quality, great taste no matter if you're eating in or getting a takeaway. My other half is GF and he always preaches about how good his GF pizza is compared to so many other pizza places we've tried. Whenever we dine in the staff are always so friendly and accommodating.

Not been here since the glory days of OCA anyone remember their kids drawing on the paper table cloths? This place is great and the pizzas are yummy. They made one if our pizzas vegan which is a big plus. Great value to which is good in current climate. All in all great family night out for families.

Been here 3 times now and every time has been excellent. The staff are superb and the food is great. I am veggie my partner is not and we both have a great choice, have taken family here and they really loved it as well. Highly recommend this fantastic local place.

Everything just great . Paid my drink bill . Didn't check amount and next day was 47 pound . 1 bottle of house white and a large red between my friend and I. I know my wine was just over 20 quid. Food was quite nice. And clean and tasty. If you like loaded pizza and spicy not for you

Food was really good; the pizzas are delicious. Drinks were great too, lovely wine and cocktails. The venue is really nice, lovely to sit outside in the sun in summer.

Had a great meal here, I'm lactose intolerant so I usually feel like a nuisance when I go out but they made me feel so welcome, they were very clear on what I could have which was most of the menu, I had the meatballs and a Florentine pizza with a load of meat on it and it was all great, the cocktails were tasty and my partner really enjoyed her meal. The service was next level, I eat out a lot and this was probably the best I've had this year even in top restaurants, couldn't want for anymore and even had the thoughtfulness to bring 2 pizza wheels so my partners pizza didn't cross contaminate with lactose, I didn't even think of that! 10/10 will be back again and they do takeaway too, dangerous! Thank you so much for a great night.

This is one of our favourite restaurants in Manchester - we love it here! Fantastic pizza every time and lovely relaxed atmosphere. We usually sit outside with the heat lamps on as we bring our puppy. Staff are always super friendly, lovely and accommodating. Really can’t recommend this place enough. 10/10

Last minute family meal (5) on a Saturday early evening. Steady not rammed with a birthday party and “quiet” hen do. Music bit low would help atmosphere, but was bustling so no issue. Had a good large table at the back plenty of space for us. Great service from Caroline - Explained some things on the menu and lovely genuine person. Romana style pizza is good - a change to the Neapolitan that surrounds Mano in Sale. Bruschetta and salmon pasta dish freshly made. Reasonably priced in particular kids meal deal (cordial 30p) so not ripping off on kids drinks like most. Table football in the bar is a bit of fun. Would recommend and we will go again

Came here as a group and were accommodated in a lovely outside table plenty big enough for 7. Staff were attentive and super friendly. Most of us had pizza but one had the pasta and everyone in our group really enjoyed their meal. Most of us had dessert too which we really enjoyed. Will definitely be coming here again and will recommend to friends. Edit: have visited so many times since this last review. One of the best things about this place is how consistently wonderful the staff are. Food and drink always great quality, such a great local

From start to finish everything was easy and simple, nice venue with a good atmosphere, lovely menu and most of all great food, tasty and plentiful. Staff were fantastic, chatty and friendly. Will certainly be back for more soon.

Great place for a family pizza.

We've not been here for a while as we have been visiting the new restaurants in Sale. We had a most delightful evening and were well looked after by Andy. He was cheerful, helpful and great fun. The food was amazing and complemented by great tunes (not too loud) as we watched the world go by on a balmy July evening. The prices are very reasonable for the great quality of food served.

Superb pizza. But moreso a 5-star review because it’s 30p for a kids drink, most places charge £1.50+ but this place treats the kids well and charges appropriately for pizza and drinks.

Ive been coming here with my family since it opened, (and was our go-to place during covid due to it being so spacious and always spotlessly clean). Fantastic, friendly staff who have always been great with my little boy. Food is delicious - our favourite dishes from the menu include the salami board, the aubergine parmigiana starter, the spicy prawn and goats cheese pizza and the tirimasu. Also do a great value kids menu. Well worth visiting if in Sale.

We popped in tonight around 7pm on spec, myself and 3 kids, it was busy but we had a choice of 2 tables. Attended to very quickly by James who was very friendly, professional and made us feel very at ease. We ordered 1 garlic bread, 3 pizzas and a salmon pasta, all arrived in good time looked and tasted great. We didn't have dessert as we had only popped in for a quick tea but would highly recommend and the chatty vibe in there is also good.

Good authentic pizzas. Also had the choice of white pizza which is good if you don't do tomato. Pasta bolognese also very tasty

Had some awful news this week & we went to Mano a Bocca for the first time in quite a long time tonight with our two kids. We had a walk down the canal and decided to bimble down for a couple of drinks. A couple of drinks turned into pizza, garlic bread and icecream. Forgot how much we loved our walk down canal and the lovely atmosphere at Mano a Bocca. I want to say that James, our lovely server was absolutely AMAZING. Extremely hospitable, made sure we were attended to even though we chose to sit outside so our kids could play out. He was super nice to both kids. My phone obsssessed 11 year old & food hating 6 year old. He was incredibly patient + was really kind to my kids. What turned into a "quick drink" turned Into a lovely evening. My only feedback would be more colours for the colouring in paper for my 6 year old, there were only 2 colours to be had found in The whole restaurant. But that was minor really. The football table was a great little bonus. Thankyou James, for making our first family outing after our bad news - a nice memory and looking forward to returning. Love DeeDee + Ste XX

On the expensive side for the portion sizes compared to similar restaurants in the area, sharing garlic bread at £8 was tiny as was the salami sharing platter at £14. Pizza's are incredibly thin and crispy. Service was excellent. Paid £110 for 3 adults and two children, we thought it was around £30 too expensive.

Food was nice and very tasty. Service was efficient. The ambiance wasn't clever, it reminded me of school/staff canteen. Would I return? No.

I ordered it but sorry guys you need to look at this pricing It was overcooked and very crunchy in the middle. I expected a better garlic bread. Five stars because your staff deserved it.

Went yesterday with the wife around 5pm Friday afternoon, was about 75% full and getting busier. Large place, SORT of a chain type feel due to the floor space, but not in a bad way though. Lots of kids, probably the time we were there. Food was really nice, we ordered a Palermo based pizza (sausage, potato, can't remember the name!) which was definitely a cut above others elsewhere and a salumi board, not loads on but nice tasting. Deserts (fig and mascarpone) was something unusual but very fresh and worthwhile getting. Service was very good, prompt, unobtrusive, happy, spot-on. Price was good - £45.00 for 2 deserts, two drinks and the pizza and board. Definitely will go back.

This is really a kid friendly place since my son love the food very much. The food is absolutely delicious and the staffs are really nice and kind.

It was an such an amazing restaurant with very very very nice staff and a wonderful chef! Food was delish!! Defo come here for a meal out!!!
