Honestly astounded that there are two people that have given this place less than 5 stars & also the fact there isn't a waiting list to get in here. I consider myself well travelled and I've not had seafood this good, with this texture, with flavours that just compliment everything. I'm considering ordering seconds rather than getting the bill to be honest, yes it's small plates but the flavours are huge just order more to share around. Service also deserves a shout out these guys are super friendly and welcoming and you can see the pride they put into this place. An absolute must visit

You have to try this place. The staff are lovely but the food is off the scale. The oysters so plump and fresh and with a lovely vinaigrette which was perfect, and scallops so tasty. But the tuna burger is to die for. If you only ever want to have one burger on this planet then this one is a serious contender. The flavours and textures are just spot on - I had 2 just to check and they were brilliant. For the pedants amongst you the second was slightly better than the first but both would be contenders for that one burger. But that is a mere detail. Go and try it. I have no special interest in this particular venue, but I think that Bournemouth has a flourishing independent food offering that really needs to be used more than it is presently. From a visitor that thoroughly enjoyed his time in Bournemouth and will return hoping that places that this are thriving.

Ordered 12 oysters to takeaway, for a picnic on the beach so we’re going to eat straight away. Oysters were beautifully cleaned and tasted amazing, vinaigrette and lemon lovely accompaniments. Very very reasonably priced. I would definitely recommend and can’t wait to come back to Bournemouth to visit this restaurant. Great response time to message as well.

Happy hour: £2 oysters - creamy and melted in the mouth! Honey-miso scallops - beautiful! Chilled environment, good service. Would recommend for seafood lovers.

Mudeford Sandbank
Food was poor, chips (fries) oil needed changing and left a bad taste. My main issue was the very rude woman serving at the grill and her attitude when I asked if there were toilets. She was so rude and said public toilets only. I didn't have a problem with that but asked where they were and she again rudely said 15 meters that way or that way. As no facilities are provided by the Beach House, I dont think its too much to expect to be told where the nearest toilets are - and if it is too much bother then put up a sign. Will not return. High prices and poor food.

Royal Exeter Hotel Exeter RoadFirst visit and in short would never go back and definitely would not recommend. Incredibly slow service and poorly managed with not enough staff. Food ok although Sushi was all covered in sauce which spoilt it Detail: After 40 minute wait we chased up our drinks and the fact we still hadn’t been asked for a food order. Appeared to be 1 person on the bar in the restaurant but couldn’t make any drinks instead transferring the order to the 1812 bar next door with long delays. Around 20 mins wait second order of drinks when there were zero other customers in the restaurant and not many in the main bar and first round had been dry for a while. Didn’t bother with anymore. Came across as same bar guy making up the sushi whilst 1 chef doing hot food. That was another 40-60 min wait for food after the drinks wait. Very poorly organised and not fair on the skeleton shift of staff that were there. No expectations set on wait time. Menu looked good with loads of things I’d have liked to eat and tapas options like the bao buns were nice, calamari and Korean chicken also good but very salty. Sushi we went for the platter which was £30 a head and smothered in sauce which actually borderline ruined it - every single sushi piece on the platter has sauce and made it heavy. Should have been maybe one row max. Optional extra sauce on side. So bad would have to say on service to avoid altogether.
