Spa was really good, calm and relaxing environment, just what my daughter & I needed. Julie T gave us the most amazing massages, would highly recommend her.
Hotel was just as good, staff were friendly and welcoming, nothing was too much trouble.
The room had breath taking views.
Both the dinner and breakfasts were good.
Will definitely be going back.

Millers Fish & Chips is a traditional fish and chip shop. The fish is cooked fresh to order, and the portions are very generous. It has a restaurant as well as a takeaway option. The fish and chips are top quality the staff are very friendly and the service is quick. There is a customer car park and a covered seating area. Definitely one of the best fish and chip shops I have visited recently.
Nice dog-friendly place with varied seating on the ground floor and upstairs. The slow cooked beef sandwich was nice. The soup was too salty to eat, and they replaced it for me with something else of my choice. The waitress was nice. I had a Bakewell tart, and it was quite nice. The flat white was really good. They had a few beers on tap, including Guinness.

We love the pies from Get Baked, chocolate cake is amazing too but I’m not the biggest chocolate cake fan. Spenny but if you think about a dessert of that size from an eat in spot it’s around the same price but usually not as fresh.
I’d say you can get 4 servings out of the chocolate cake too which is worth the cost at the luxuriousness of the ganache given the cacao prices.
I wondered if the pie crust uses butter?
We get the banoffee pie! Sad they stopped the Cereal Killa as that was my favourite.
I also enjoy their coffee, its speciality coffee so you taste the difference compared to a chain like Costa and Starbucks.

Advertised as keeping faithful to what made The Tiger so popular when it reopened, same chef etc, but sadly it was more like the new owners previous Goldsborough pub but in a new location. OK, but just not as good. Steak and Ale Pie especially was disappointing as were the accompanying vegetables. A few chips in a little metal basket is never what you want to see!
This was an exceptional dining experience, the staff were very accommodating and attentive. The food was incredible and portions were of a generous sizing, I was very impressed and will be looking to return to this establishment in the near future.
Food was really good, however some customer service training definitely needed for the female waiting staff.
Wednesday night, we hadn't booked, but thought we'd give it a go. We walked in, the female staff member was behind the bar, she didn't look up and said "Name" we said we hadn't booked, she picked up two menus and said "Here" indicating to a table. The person I was with asked if we could sit in the neighbouring 2 seat table, the waitress said "I will need the go upstairs and get ice first".... The waiter that took our order was polite and friendly, and as we order we asked for some water. The waitress then brought one glass of water.....
The food in the other hand was delicious.
I'm not sure we would go back. We'd probably try some other places first before we did.
I wouldn't recommend this restaurant for a business meeting, but if you don't mind abrupt service, the food was really good.
We just randomly found this place after a long hike, having no idea what to expect. It turned out to be amazing. We had beef burgers with fries and they were excellent! The service was great, too. If you want to eat well for reasonable prices, that’s where you should go!
Unfortunately will not be returning we was In and out within 1 hour felt very rushed wasn't offered deserts wasn't checked on during the meal to offer more drinks or check everything was OK didn't want praws in one pasta dish due to not liking them but wasn't offered alternative meat but was still charged £16 for spaghetti in a tomato sauce with some peppers no sides offered £65 bill for 2 people was very expensive for the food we received although it was nice it was very basic.
We don't go out very often so it was very disappointing we travelled 45min to eat here as we heard good things about it but unfortunately was not made to feel welcome we was barely spoken to by any member of staff understanding it's valentine's weekend it felt like they wanted people in and out as quickly as possible to get the next table in.
