The best cafe for breakfast in York! Beautiful food, well cooked and locally sourced produce. The staff are warm and friendly and the chutneys are fabulous. We always treat ourselves to a jar when we visit.

Super friendly and welcoming. Food was delicious and impressive portion sizes. Bbq Corn, Ribs and oxtail at their best!

What a gem! The pizza was incredible! Probably the best pizza I have had. The staff were very friendly too! The garlic bread was delicious. I will definitely be back the next time I am in York!

Quite simply one of the best meals I've ever had in my life; I knew from tasting the first canapé that we were in for a fantastic evening. Although they are very clear about the limitations of their kitchen when it comes to allergens, they accommodated for an allergy exceptionally well. Will no doubt be returning.

Came to York for a night and we looked for somewhere nice to have a family meal and this restaurant came up. We’re so happy we came as the food was so lovey and so were the staff. We were absolutely stuffed when we left! We can highly recommend this place if ever you’re in York :)

I will never tire of the friendly staff, delicious food and comfortable surroundings. It is one of my favourite restaurants of all time! Well worth booking in advance.

Taken by my daughter Jeneane for Mother's day and accompanied by my granddaughter Emily Enjoyed the setting lovely friendly and attentive staff Our starters were absolutely fantastic J and myself smoked salmon Emily squid Mains Jeneane chicken Sunday lunch Very enjoyable Myself and Emily beef Sunday lunch We were very disappointed with the beef looked lovely as we like it rare but it was very chewy which spoilt it Must say what did upset me was when asked if all was ok and I mentioned the beef no apologising just would you like a sweet!!!!!!! It didn't spoil the day but maybe an a sorry would have been nice

Oh wow! This place hits the spot in so so many ways! The service is brilliant (all the staff are super friendly, attentive and efficient) and the food is great. You might have to queue to get a table (we didn’t as we arrived fairly early) but the wait is well worth it. I had the avocado on sourdough bread (topped mine with two poached eggs) and it was fabulous-the kids had pancake stacks….light and fluffy with the best ever berries, and the son and his OH had the eggs Royale which they usually have. Luckily we visit often from Whitby and I think this will be a regular thing. Can’t wait to try an evening session…… I have to say I’m glad to have found somewhere in York that does great food at reasonable prices as we have ditched Betty’s for good (overpriced and mediocre) and Robinson’s will be our “go to” place from now on.

Based on positive reviews I have this a try. The chicken was shredded and tasteless (reminded me of tuna) and the rest just wasn’t tasty.

The food is really tasty and great value. The coffee is nicer than most chain coffee shops and the staff are very friendly and helpful. What a great little place.
