Dough Eyed Pizza in York

What a gem! The pizza was incredible! Probably the best pizza I have had. The staff were very friendly too! The garlic bread was delicious. I will definitely be back the next time I am in York!

Not joking when they say the best pizza in York! Fresh as they come, and a really friendly team. Fab to sit outside and watch the world go by. Went with our 4 year old son and the team were so accommodating - we will 100% be back.

Absolutely top service! We had an impromptu lunch here which was the best idea we had all day. They don’t have fries on the menu but I don’t blame them as they put all their magic into their fantastic homemade pizza’s (great pricing too). Our toddler twins aren’t so great with eating pizza which they did try and enjoyed the crust. The staff were gracious enough to let us get some from the market to bring over which is right outside. Overall a very pleasant experience and if we lived closer we’d probably visit on a regular or make as a date night, 10/10 recommend.

Entramos con nuestros dos perros y eran muy serviciales, incluso les dieron un poco de jamón de lado. La comida era increíble, tenía una gran relación calidad-precio y el personal era excelente.

Probably our 8th visit by now! The pizzas are always lovely, would especially recommend the spicy spinata, good selection of drinks including different flavoured lemonades, cocktails and beer on tap. Do miss the garlic bread though!

All round amazing! Pizzas we're top notch, great selection of toppings....I had Prosciutto, Peach and Burratta (sorry if spelt incorrectly!🤪) and it was a brilliant combo....think peaches and cream but savoury! Highly recommend! Service was impeccable, friendly and cool!😎 Homemade lemonade must also be sampled but a fab selection of beers etc on draught! Cannot fault basically! Thanks guys!

We only visited for drinks, but the atmosphere was lovely and the food looked amazing so we decided to stay for lunch. The pizza was incredibly tasty - ingredients were fresh and full of flavour. The drinks were also divine! I had a limoncello cheesecake sour which was delicious and so well presented. Really, our experience was made by the staff. Both gentlemen were kind, helpful and friendly and it would truly make us go back again just for them.

Forget your high street chains and give Dough Eyed Pizza the opportunity to treat your taste buds. Fantastic friendly service and food to match.

Visited a few days before Xmas, it was a cold day so we were looking for somewhere dog friendly to eat inside, we stumbled upon this gem of a place, dogs allowed on entrance level, we had a few minute wait for a table but once seated our order was taken promptly and our drinks arrived, a lovely merlot wine and a lager, both were delicous, ive worked in the wine and spirit trade and I felt the choice on the drinks menu was 1st class, chosen to compliment the food and vibe of the place. We had 2 pizzas a salami and a pepperoni, our first choice the salt beef had sold out but we were really pleased with what we had, absolutely mouth watering and delicous. The staff were friendly and efficient and prices were very reasonable, will definately visit again when next in York.

Got the idea from Tripadvisor and did not regret it. Good service, delicious pizza and very nice surprise. I hope this restaurant continues to operate for a long time

Wow! Just wow! Family of 7 and then we all went quiet when the food came, absolutely outstanding, so fresh and fluffy pizza it was to die for, would highly recommend

Top quality Neapolitan pizza in a beautiful building in the centre of York. The team know their stuff and have such a passion for making the best pizza in the area. Great choice of cocktails, drinks and more importantly, Pizza. Staff were friendly, down to earth and brilliant at what they do. If your in York, don’t miss this spot!

So glad we have finally tried this place, the pizza definitely lives up to all these amazing reviews. Only reason for knocking a star off is they don’t have any condiments apart from chilli oil. I understand its ’authenticity’ but your girl loves a dip for her crust!!! Come on get some garlic mayo in 🤣😀

The service was amazing, friendly and veey enjoyable. The food was excellent and was quick considering he was working alone at the time. I highly recommend this place. You'll enjoy it!!

We've wanted to try Dough Eyed for ages, a few days break in York, and we got to do that. Walking into the place immediately greeted by staff and offered a table(is walk-ins only, no bookings)it has a really cool relaxed feel about it. Great choice of draught beers and fantastic cocktails. Now, onto the reason for going, PIZZA, oh man....... blew us away, just the most incredible light flavoursome dough coupled with the best ingredients for the pizza toppings, which really was special to try. Chris, Adam, and your awesome staff, keep doing what you're doing guys, absolutely exceptional eating experience.

If you have to go to one place for dinner in York, check out this place! Amazing service, all homemade soft drinks (fully recommend the raspberry iced tea and raspberry lemonade)! Pizza’s are hefty and great value, the desserts look great too (however was too full). Will definitely be back.

Quality pizzas (probably one of the best I’ve had) and excellent customer service! Have been to the restaurant a few times and also delivery, same quality of pizza. Highly recommend!
