Want a great pizza in York?!.. of course you do, why wouldn’t you? Anytime is a good time for pizza, and fresco do the best in the city, great fire baked pizza bases, tangy tomato sauce amazing mozzarella that’s both creamy yet tasty at the same time with imaginative toppings. Don’t believe me!! Go see for yourself, just not when I’m trying to get a table or a takeaway please( though it’s worth waiting for!!

Came here with a friend and the atmosphere was lovely, the pizza was really tasty and the service, by Nicole, was brilliant!

Had the most divine experience at Cresci Pizzeria, I was catching up with a dear friend. The food and atmosphere were top notch, couldn’t recommend more. Chefs kiss. We were served by Nicole, she was absolutely delightful and made the experience even better.

Amazing atmosphere and food as always. The waiters and waitress are consistently helpful and friendly and always there when you need them but still without overstepping. Having tried most of the pizzas available I can say with certainty that their pizzas are all carefully chosen and to the highest quality. Our waitress today was very patient with us and accomadating with any request, big thanks to Mona for being a great help! Only note I have for cresci is the request for red based pizzas on the menu or any new variety. I do enjoy the specials though.

Really lovely place and the food is very good. Never forget to get their tiramisu it's so good and it's halal.

Superbly good pizzeria, with a great staff. Their pizza are genuine, properly Italian and with no nonsense. Their Baba' is something to die for. One of the best pizza places in the UK.

I came here with my italian friends and even they loved it. It was true napolitano pizza. And the dessert? Fantastic! The Tiramisu was like a sweet dream. Probably best Pizza in all of the UK.

Great authentic pizza at very reasonable price.

I recently dined at this authentic Italian pizza place and had a fantastic experience. Monali, who served us, was incredibly helpful in guiding us through the menu and helping us choose the perfect pizza. The flavors were authentic and the crust was perfectly crispy. Highly recommend this spot for anyone craving genuine Italian pizza!

We recently went to Cresci whilst in York, and we loved it! Delicious pizza! The best Neapolitan pizza we've had in England! So yummy! The staff are so friendly and helpful too! Highly recommend!!! 🍕🍕🍕

Had a lovely pumpkin cream base pizza with nduja, for a decent price too. Christina served us and was incredibly friendly and helpful, made it a particularly good visit. Definitely come here if you're looking for great pizza and service in York!

Very happy to find this place during a short holiday and have the opportunity to have a perfect Neapolitan pizza even in York. Being from Napoli, I am demanding with pizza, but here I found a proper one. Had the sausage and mushroom and the salsiccia was amazing and clearly Italian. The venue is very nice, modern but with a Mediterranean touch and the service is friendly and professional.

Exceptional pizza. Reasonable price, excellent service. Feels really authentic. Honestly the best pizza place outside of Italy. Oh, and really delicious Italian craft beer too!

As italian the coffee Eee was 10/10 finally I drink a nice coffee. The girl who served us very nice ,lovely, cute , professional and so smart Cristina 10/10. Not quite sure where the overall score for this places comes from. It's pizza only, and at around £13 a pizza average prices. One of our pizzas was burned. The two starters we ordered were deep fried with no sauce and frankly no taste. The choice of pizza is also severely limited - no seafood options for example. Service was friendly and fast though. Was charged £2 to add tomato base to a 'white base' - disappointed they charged when they missed virtually all of the garlic that was supposed to replace it. Suggest this is a good place if you have kids and limited expectations. Fifth best restaurant in York? Erm. No.

The ambience is pretty good, and descent. Mona who was serving us was very good at service. Thankyou soo much mona for your kind gesture and suggesting amazing food. Thanks again. Must visit.

Staff are very friendly and helpful - they made every effort to accommodate us on a Saturday evening even though we didn’t have a booking. -And more importantly, the pizzas were delicious. Will definitely come back next time we’re in York!

I had an absolutely delightful dining experience at Cresci! From the moment we walked in, the warm ambiance and inviting aroma of freshly baked pizza made us feel right at home. The star of our evening, however, was Monali, our amazing waitress. She went above and beyond to ensure our meal was perfect. Her friendly smile, attentiveness, and excellent recommendations truly elevated our visit. Monali made sure our glasses were never empty and even checked in to see if we were happy with each course. Her exceptional service added a personal touch that made us feel genuinely valued as customers. As for the food—wow! The Margherita pizza was a masterpiece, with a perfectly crisp crust, tangy tomato sauce, and just the right amount of fresh mozzarella. We also tried the sundried tomato and zucchini pizza, which was absolutely divine—light, flavorful, and topped with the freshest ingredients. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and authentically Italian. I can't recommend Cresci enough, you're in for an unforgettable experience! We'll definitely be back.

Liked the food served here along with good service by the staff. Cozy atmosphere and good food. My only complaint is no chicken pizza here. I don’t eat pork and had to satisfy myself with a pizza with artichoke which was ok. The desserts were great!

Incredible, lovely service and gorgeous pizza!

Absolutely delicious pizzas, with a great base and flavourful toppings. They also do a gluten-free base (although they can't guarantee there is no cross-contamination) which is one of the best GF bases I've found. Highly recommended, and means I can enjoy pizza again!

Such a lovely place, staff are so nice and great crack - especially christina and madeline! Prices are so incredibly reasonable too. Not from York but i’m a frequent visitor and will always go back there and recommend to others, wish i could give it a better review!!

Had lunch here yesterday, I think the best pizzas we have ever tasted. The staff were efficient & friendly & for all it was busy we were served quickly. We each had a soft drink, pizza & we shared some fried pasta & a rum baba (again both delicious). Around £17 per head (including our drinks) for top class pizza, a very reasonable priced lunch for the quality. This will now be our regular go to when we visit York (+ I'd recommend booking as it was quite busy when we were there) Enjoy!

Pizza was delicious at an incredibly affordable price. The tomato base tasted great and the mozzarella was delicious!

Pizza way too thin, the bottom of the pizza was overcooked but the top and inside was barely cooked

In the heart of the City Centre lies Cresci Pizzeria, known for its authentic Neapolitan Pizzas. We tried Diavola and Flora and didn't regret it. 4 stars.

Great atmosphere, service, and pizza dough. We shared a white base pizza which I’ve never tried and just didn’t like, my bf did, but we will 100% be back anyway. One of the best pizza doughs I’ve tasted and we’ve been to Naples. Sizeable menu with specials. I love their interior design and the plates are wonderful all hand made in Italy for this shop.

Waitress Mona was served our family. The entire staff is very friendly and professional and Mona lifted our experience. The pizzas were great as always!

The best Pizza I’ve tasted since visiting Naples. Without doubt the most authentic in York !

We have booked for 6 people today (5adults and 1 4yo) following the recommendations from internet. Not entirely sure what we will be welcomed with, we were very positively surprised upon arrival. Waitress Christina welcomes us in and showed us to our table, she had an excessive knowledge of all the products and how the pizza is made, she was very patient and very very helpful. We had few lovely chats with her throughout the whole dining experience. The portions are large and the quality is above and beyond. Even the pizza I chose; despite not being what I expected; completely surprised me and impressed me. We’re big on pizza quality and we were not disappointed. We’re found a little piece of Italy in York and we will make sure to return multiple times. We are already planning to return especially after Christina’s super special (made with incredible amount of love) limoncello spritz. We can’t recommend this place enough 100/10!!! We will be back ❤️🥹

Great place, highly recommended. Fast service and really tasty food. We are all vegetarian and had Margherita, four cheese and vegetarian pizzas and all were delicious. The veggie starters were good also - deep fried stuffed pasta and a potato croquette which were different and delicious. Not all drinks are on offer but enough for us - the cider was delicious and lemoncello spritzer was perfect. Staff were attentive and friendly. It's a small but very busy restaurant and I wish we'd eaten here every night we'd stayed in York.

I really liked this restaurant. Not only was the food great, with an excellent selection of wines, but I loved the bright and colourful interior of this place. The price is also reasonable once you take into account the location (centre of York is no cheap place to run a business). My only criticism, and it is a minor one, is that it could do with a wider selection of starters.

My wife and I were surprised at the recent negative review but we went with the majority and ate at the pizzeria last night and again the next day. Before I say anything else my wife is italian and we travel a great deal and we have a chef in the family and are all foodies. We felt that the pizza is about as authentic as we have had in the UK to a Napoli pizza, ingredients are key and the best are indeed italian bit hard to get the same quality in the UK, we also had the frittata cacio e pepe which was also very good. To truly understand italian cuisine, you need to know that a pizzeria is not fine dining but it's good wholesome filling fast food cooked with love. We love the pizza here and the staff were also excellent. Pricing is spot on, too, as some places charge £17 for a pizza that does not represent Italy in any way at all. Delicious! Proper Pizza Napoletana. I didn't have a reservation and it was very busy, but still they managed to arrange a table for me. Friendly staff and tasty pizza! All you need :)

Had lunch with my daughter here today, a very welcome respite from the busy Christmas markets. She had been before and this place has an excellent reputation in York but it was my first time. Really excellent pizza to share and drinks for around £25. Very attentive friendly staff and good atmosphere.

Thin-crust pizza can be baked to a crispy texture with a chewy texture. QQ has a very layered texture with a slight burnt aroma, and the fillings are not sloppy. The mushrooms taste like they have the aroma of truffles, and so does the Margherita pizza. It’s salty and fragrant, I really like it!

Wanted a bite to eat and Cresci Pizzeria caught our eye. Staff were so friendly and welcoming and managed to get us a table even though it was busy and we hadn’t booked. The atmosphere was amazing and food even better. I can’t fault anything about this place. Great value for money.

This pizza was extremely impressive! After travelling around Italy for the past few months, I was sceptical that any pizza would ever be able to compare. This has been the closest thing I have found! Wow.

Really good pizza, authentic and delicious ingredients, impeccable service and super friendly staff! A treat for us Italians when we want pizza! It's also open until late, we had dinner peacefully at 9pm! Super recommended

I’m studying here in York, and finding Cresci was an amazing discovery. The pizza is genuinely good—coming from a Neapolitan family, I can confirm it’s the real deal! The pizza here reminded me of home. Prices are surprisingly affordable for Yorkshire, and the staff is super friendly too. If you’re after authentic pizza and a great vibe, Cresci is definitely worth a visit!
