Atmosphere is amazing and you get well looked after, all of the food speaks for itself and ifs a perfect example of true Neapolitan pizza. If you have any doubt on where to eat tonight let this reviews make your mind up. We will be travelling down from the NE to eat here again asap!

On the advice of locals I tried this Pizzeria . The location is beautiful , the staff is very nice and they understand your desire. The pizza is so good, prepared with the best ingredients.

Wow, pizza was great but what I’m really here to review is the incredible service! My husband and I visited on our trip to York last weekend and we were looked after by the lovely waitress Ruby. She took excellent care of us and gave amazing recommendations when we asked where else to go in York. Her suggestions made our weekend! Seemed genuinely interested in talking to us, was knowledgeable about the menu and told us to get a pizza we ended up LOVING! Although it was busy and she was running around everywhere, she still made time to see to us and we really enjoyed chatting to her. Would highly recommend this restaurant for a great experience!

You cannot miss this restaurant in York! It’s genuinely one of the best pizza places I’ve ever tried. They also have many halal options if preferred. Lastly ofcourse do NOT miss their tiramisu and thank you to Christina for the wonderful customer service.

Decided to visit for a pizza whilst in York after reading the fantastic reviews and we were very glad we did. Service was attentive and quick. Pizza was tasty, hot and fresh. What a great choice, we highly recommend visiting.

Excellent, superb pizza, service and atmosphere.

We enjoyed Cresci pizzeria and discovered it thanks to a link a friend sent us for recommendations to eat before we went to the theatre. The service was welcoming, and the food arrived very quickly. We sat by the window and it was good watching the world go by! I had a calabrese which was delicious.

From the outside I didn't expect to much but as we passing by very hungry we noticed this place seen the food on someone's table and said we should go in here. After walking around a bit we came back, very friendly staff what welcomed us in, it was a busy day but managed to find us a table. Probably the best pizza iv ever had. That k you so much to the staff and owner you made are night lol. Keep up the good work.

Having dined in London extensively, from high-end establishments to more relaxed venues, I can confidently place Cresci among the top three pizzerias I have ever experienced. Every bite of the Diavola Pizza teleported the chef’s dedication and mastery. This is more than just excellent food—it is a testament to the passion and precision put in by the chef. Cresci deserves recognition for the exceptional quality they deliver, and it undoubtedly stands out as a culinary gem in this city.

This review is long overdue. I’ve been to Cresci many times before and adore it, the food is absolutely incredible and some of the best pizza in the UK. The service, however, is the best part by far, and one specific event still stands out to me. When I had a medical issue during a visit our server, Christina, went above and beyond for me and helped immensely. She made a genuine difference, which I will always be grateful for. When we returned another day we were delighted to be served by her again; she was so kind and friendly and left a sweet note on our receipt. Grazie mille to everyone at Cresci - especially Christina!

The best pizza in town, actually the best pizza I ever had! I definitely recommend it for anyone who wants to have a bite of italy in york.

Truly Authentic Pizza! These were absolutely the best pizzas we have eaten outside of Italy. The perfect base, San Marzano DOP tomato base, and proper Parma Ham, every element tasted exquisite. This may sound OTT, but with 3 now grown children we have eaten a lot of pizza, in many different countries, and different regions of Italy, and these pizzas were up there with the very best. We were lucky enough to get the last table, early on a Saturday and were welcomed by the Italian family owners. It had a lovely atmosphere, and a real buzz, and was really busy, so I would make sure and book!

We had food there a while ago and today we’re still talking about how good it is. That says a lot. This place literally has a certified issued by The True Neapolitan Pizza Association, and there are only about 1100 of them in the world. Friendly staff, quick service, spacious dining space, extremely good food, wouldn’t mind driving for hours to York just to have food there again.

Such a nice Pizzeria in the middle of York that tastes like proper Italy. Sizes are good and you get them for a reasonable price.

Pizza was delicious, the dough in particular was very light and airy. Service was good with friendly waitresses. Will definitely be returning

Visited here today earlier for the first time and the pizza was definitely one of the best I’ve had in UK, been to Naples many times now and this was certainly equal to the pizzas over there.

I had a great yesterday afternoon at Cresci. The pizza was amazing and the service was perfect especially Monali, she was knowledgeable & offered fantastic recommendations.The food was perfect. Really busy which is a good thing, most enthusiastic staff I have experienced in a long time and the (vegan) pizza was amazing. We sat upstairs which I think I would prefer. Definitely somewhere to return to! 🥹

Been coming to cresci for many years now, the most authentic Italian stone baked pizza in the city and by far and away the best! Really friendly staff who will go out of their way to make sure you are looked after, delicious pizza and great prices. Spoiler- their tiramisu is out of this world!!! One of the best I've ever tried, so make sure you save some space

I went to Cresci with my friends for dinner, and we had an amazing time. The pizza was absolutely delicious, just like the ones I have in Italy. From the moment I walked in, even though I was in the UK, I felt like I was in Italy for a few hours. The atmosphere was wonderful, and the customer service was perfect. Fantastic traditional Italian Pizza! Tasted just like we were in Italy! Fab atmosphere, wine, and pizza! We ordered a few different pizzas and each one was fantastic. The fritattina Cacio e Pepe blew our minds and even the simplest pizzas were delicious! Also the best Tiramisu I have ever had! Proper home made and delicious! It’s a limited menu more for traditional pizza lovers so if you’re a fussy eater probably go to spoons and enjoy your chips but if you love pizza and love authenticity it’s one of the best in York

Hands down the best pizza I have ever had! Couldn’t recommend it enough, it’s a lovely restaurant and Nicole was wonderful. I would also recommend a tiramisu because it was otherworldly. It’s giving that ratatouille flashback if you get me.

If you're in York and looking for authentic neopolitana style pizza this is the place to go. As a pizzaiolo myself, this exceeded all my expectations. Pizza cooked beautifully, great selection of wines and I could have the tiramisu every day. Also special thanks to our server Christina, your service was the cherry on top of an amazing experience!

Great place for really good pizzas and Italian sweets. The menu is only small, in respect of the starters and sweets, but it's the pizzas you go for. We were recommended to go and try the place while visiting york. We booked a table in advance with it been the weekend, it was a good thing because the staff were turning people away - very popular ( would recommend asking for a table upstairs,if possible when booking- downstairs can get busy with people coming and going, at times. The staff and service we could not fault,we really enjoyed our evening. Many thanks for all your hard work.

Want a great pizza in York?!.. of course you do, why wouldn’t you? Anytime is a good time for pizza, and fresco do the best in the city, great fire baked pizza bases, tangy tomato sauce amazing mozzarella that’s both creamy yet tasty at the same time with imaginative toppings. Don’t believe me!! Go see for yourself, just not when I’m trying to get a table or a takeaway please( though it’s worth waiting for!!

Had the most divine experience at Cresci Pizzeria, I was catching up with a dear friend. The food and atmosphere were top notch, couldn’t recommend more. Chefs kiss. We were served by Nicole, she was absolutely delightful and made the experience even better.

Delicious Pizza and great service.

I must have Italian pizza whenever I’m in York. I started with crocche, ordered my pizza, and ended with tiramisu and rum baba (a dessert infused with spiced rum). I love the pizzas—have them while they’re warm to enjoy the cheese melting in your mouth. The staff are humble and always greet you with positive energy.

Amazing atmosphere and food as always. The waiters and waitress are consistently helpful and friendly and always there when you need them but still without overstepping. Having tried most of the pizzas available I can say with certainty that their pizzas are all carefully chosen and to the highest quality. Our waitress today was very patient with us and accomadating with any request, big thanks to Mona for being a great help! Only note I have for cresci is the request for red based pizzas on the menu or any new variety. I do enjoy the specials though.

Great Neapolitan pizzeria in the UK!

I came here with my italian friends and even they loved it. It was true napolitano pizza. And the dessert? Fantastic! The Tiramisu was like a sweet dream. Probably best Pizza in all of the UK.

I recently dined at this authentic Italian pizza place and had a fantastic experience. Monali, who served us, was incredibly helpful in guiding us through the menu and helping us choose the perfect pizza. The flavors were authentic and the crust was perfectly crispy. Very happy to find this place during a short holiday and have the opportunity to have a perfect Neapolitan pizza even in York. Being from Napoli, I am demanding with pizza, but here I found a proper one. Had the sausage and mushroom and the salsiccia was amazing and clearly Italian. The venue is very nice, modern but with a Mediterranean touch and the service is friendly and professional.

As italian the coffee Eee was 10/10 finally I drink a nice coffee. The girl who served us very nice ,lovely, cute , professional and so smart Cristina 10/10. Best pizza and tiramisu I've ever had!! Also wonderful service :)

Not quite sure where the overall score for this places comes from. It's pizza only, and at around £13 a pizza average prices. One of our pizzas was burned. The two starters we ordered were deep fried with no sauce and frankly no taste. The choice of pizza is also severely limited - no seafood options for example. Service was friendly and fast though. Was charged £2 to add tomato base to a 'white base' - disappointed they charged when they missed virtually all of the garlic that was supposed to replace it. Suggest this is a good place if you have kids and limited expectations. Fifth best restaurant in York? Erm. No.

Staff are very friendly and helpful - they made every effort to accommodate us on a Saturday evening even though we didn’t have a booking. -And more importantly, the pizzas were delicious. Will definitely come back next time we’re in York!

Liked the food served here along with good service by the staff. Cozy atmosphere and good food. My only complaint is no chicken pizza here. I don’t eat pork and had to satisfy myself with a pizza with artichoke which was ok. The desserts were great!

Her exceptional service added a personal touch that made us feel genuinely valued as customers. As for the food—wow! The Margherita pizza was a masterpiece, with a perfectly crisp crust, tangy tomato sauce, and just the right amount of fresh mozzarella. We also tried the sundried tomato and zucchini pizza, which was absolutely divine—light, flavorful, and topped with the freshest ingredients. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and authentically Italian. I can't recommend Cresci enough, you're in for an unforgettable experience! We'll definitely be back.
